Our Equipment

We use long range hand held thermal optics to locate hogs. Your guide uses it primarily, but the guests have access to it whenever the guide is not using it.

On the weapons we have either thermal optics or 3rd Gen auto gated, top of the line night vision.

We give our guests hi end AR's in 223, with either NV or thermal on it. Its a nice option to have when you never know what situation you will be in from one field to the next. For really long range in open fields the NV is SPECTACULAR! Its terrible if there any obstruction from plants or trees or fog, or...anything really. That's where the thermal shines, it see's right through limited amounts of grass or leaves, its pierces fog or smoke, its good for short distances in pouring rain but its not as good as the NV past 300 yards for precision shooting. We never know what tool is going to be best, so we bring both.

We use shotguns, crossbow, handguns, air guns and compound bows to accomplish our job. Our tools are your toys for the night. We decided to go with 223's as our main platform for several reasons. First they have almost no recoil. This enables all shooters to focus on their shot placement much more effectively than with the same platform in 308. Second, with new hunting bullets, they are MUCH more deadly to thick skinned game when you use bullets other than the old 55g FMJ most people associate with the 223. We use Hornaday's 75g BTHP, it expands rapidly and creates devastating wound channels on even the largest of hogs. All of our ammunition is custom loaded locally. We hunt from 40-200 yards (75 yards on average) and the 223 is deadly at these close ranges.
