Lots of meat was taken from the hunt, but unfortunately our freezers quit and some of the meat was lost. We will update our policy to end the freezing of the meat. Guide Jordan was able to get them on a sounder early dropping 3 to start the night. Later in the night a scout called them in on a single wild hog and they dropped it with ease. Later a failed stalk happened and the sounder spooked. Hunting at night has its challenges limited viability, fatigue, muddy walking condition, and most of all the thrill. We love guiding hunts and helping our farmers. Book a Hunt at www.HogSWAT.com

3 NIGHTS OF HOG HUNTING

PHOTO: Thermal Hog Hunts In Georgia @HogSWAT

Spotted a large sounder on an adjacent field to one we Hunt. We knew they were headed our way to tear up a freshly planted field corn field. We waited patiently and after an hour or so they finally started to head over. Property lines and permission to hunt fields is a sacred thing. Harassing hogs on another farmers land is also not permitted. It sucks to do the right thing but the most over looked part about hunting is being patient. We know the hogs are coming out, we just don’t know when. Hogs are unpredictable except for one thing, they need to eat. Grateful to have this father and son duo Hog Hunting with us for the past 3 days. They stacked up 13 with hands on and probably more that made it to the woods.

Night one of this 2-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia brought challenging conditions, but solid results.

Cold temperatures and wet weather made for a tough night in the field, especially early on. Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, the group stayed committed and continued covering ground in search of hog movement.

That persistence paid off when a sounder was located, leading to a productive setup and four successful hog recoveries. The encounter turned the night around and highlighted how quickly conditions can change during a Thermal Hog Hunt.

Even on nights where weather and comfort aren’t on your side, teamwork and patience can still produce strong outcomes. Night one wrapped up as a successful start to the Hog Hunt, setting a positive tone heading into the second night.

This 1-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in Georgia required adaptability and persistence as conditions changed throughout the night.

Several locations were checked early with limited activity. Later, movement was detected near wooded areas, leading to close-range encounters and multiple setup attempts. After repositioning and reassessing conditions, hogs were located moving into open ground.

Memorial Day

Honoring the Brave

Memorial Day at Hog SWAT

Photo: Memorial Day HogSWAT

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country. The picture above was taken in Andersonville, Georgia, where thousands of American Flags now stand in solemn tribute to those who served. Andersonville, once a Civil War Prison Camp, is now a place of remembrance where our Military Heroes are laid to rest—a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom.

At Hog SWAT, we are proud to live and work in a place surrounded by such deep history and sacrifice. We are especially thankful for the service members—past and present—who have stood guard so the rest of us can enjoy the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

We’ve had the honor of guiding Veterans and active-duty military through the Farm Fields of South Georgia. Thermal Hog Hunting might just look like an adrenaline-pumping Night Hunt—but for some, it’s also a way to reconnect with camaraderie, adrenaline, and peace of mind in the outdoors. Whether it’s your first time behind a Thermal or your hundredth, the experience builds memories and bonds that run deep.

To all those who have served and sacrificed:

We thank you. We honor you. And we remember you.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day,

— The Hog SWAT Team 🇺🇸

Long Walks & Free Range Hog Hunting

Photo: HogSWAT Thermal Hog Hunting Georgia Free Range Hunting.

Sometimes long walks to check over the hill or in the corner of a field is needed to be successful. Our Thermal Night Hog Hunts are 100% free range and wild. We don’t put out corn feeders or have a pen full of hogs.. We have to hunt for them and sometimes they are gone before you get there. Success is measured in many ways, the experience is a small part and the harvest is often looked at as the majority of how success is quantified. One thing I have learned is the effort, skills obtained, and appreciation for Mother Nature is the best part of real hog hunting.

Persistence Pays Off:

A Long Night of Hog Hunting with Guide Hank

Best Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Pulled Pork… @HogSWAT

Some nights, the Pigs are everywhere. Other nights, they make you work for it. Guide Hank just wrapped up a 1 Night Hog Hunt that pushed patience and determination to the limit.

The night started slow—real slow. “Looked for Wild Pigs everywhere with none in sight,” Hank said. But giving up isn’t in the Hog SWAT playbook. The team stayed on the move, Scanning Fields, cutting through the darkness with Thermal Equipment, and covering miles in search of hogs.

As the night stretched into the early morning hours, it looked like the Hogs might win this round. But then, just before dawn, they caught sight of a Lone Hog sneaking through the last field of the night. This was the moment they had been waiting for.

The Hog Hunters moved in. From there it was success. But the hard work paid off: the Hunters took home some harvest and, more importantly, a night full of memories.

“Great success,” Hank summed up. And that’s what it’s all about—putting in the effort, staying patient, and making the most of every opportunity.

Baby Hogs

Hog Hunting in South Georgia is never predictable, and for this group of three Hunters, the night was a test of persistence. With Guide Zev leading the way, they covered plenty of ground in search of Wild Hogs, and by the end of the night, their efforts paid off.

A Tough Start

The Hog Hunt kicked off early with a Single Hog spotted in the distance. The Hog Hunters had success with a Tough Boar. Zev moved the group in closer, but the Hog, now spooked, disappeared into the darkness.

Miles on Foot, Pigs on the Move

Determined to find more targets, the group pushed on, covering a lot of ground in pursuit of another Sounder. They finally closed in, only to find the Wild Pigs had already moved out of sight by the time they got into position. It was a frustrating setback, but they weren’t giving up yet.

Success at Last

At 2 a.m., the persistence finally paid off. A new Sounder of Hogs was spotted, and this time, the Hunters wasted no time. Moving in quickly, and 2 Pigs, ending the night with a hard-earned victory.

Two Nights of Hog Hunting

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Down Piggie @HogSWAT

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: lol Piggyy Down @HogSWAT

Hunting Wild Hogs in South Georgia is always unpredictable, and for this group of four Hunters, their two-Night Hunting Adventure with Hog SWAT’s Guide Zev was no exception.

Night One:

A Slow Start

The first night started with what Zev called “darkness” no Wild Hogs, no success. Despite the late hour, the sky never seemed to fully darken. The first opportunity came when they spotted pigs at 400 yards, but the Sounder spooked before they could close the distance. After hours of searching, Zev finally picked up movement through the trees at 4 a.m. South of a known field, at least 40 Pigs were feeding - just out of reach. It was a frustrating sight, but the night ended without a picture.

Night Two:

Action Heats Up

The second night started slow, but persistence paid off. Around 11 p.m., the group had success a Lone Hog. Later, they spotted a Sounder moving toward the van. With the wind at their backs, Zev knew they had to move fast. He quickly got the Hog Hunters ready and led them into position, flanking the group before the pigs could catch their scent.

As the Sounder of Hogs spread out, two Hogs wandered right into their path and spotted them. There was no choice. One Piggy instantly, while the other took a hit and ran. The night took an unexpected turn when the Pro Hunters mistook a possum for a charging hog and took it down as well - adding an unusual Hunting Trophy to the night’s count.

The Thermal Hunt isn’t without its challenges, but every trip is a learning experience. Zev made it clear that field discipline is crucial.

Welcome Back, Guide Wes!

A Father-Son Thermal Hunt in South Georgia

Big news at Hog SWAT - Guide Wes is back! If you’ve Hog Hunted with us in the past, you might remember Wes from a while back. With things getting crazy busy this Hog Hunting Season, he’s returned to help us put more Hunters on Hogs, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him back in action!

Wes wasted no time getting back in the game, leading a 2 Night Hog Hunt for a Father-and-Son Hunting Duo looking for a Wild Hog Adventure. And let’s just say, things didn’t go exactly as planned - but that’s what makes Hunting so unpredictable and fun.

Night One:

Surprise! It’s a Coyote Hunt

Coyote Hunting

Thermal Hunting Coyotes

Photo: Coyote Down @HogSWAT

The first night started off with high hopes for Wild Hogs, but as any Seasoned Hunter knows, the night can take unexpected turns. Instead of Piggies, the father and son found themselves locked in on a different target - a Coyote. With a well-placed shot, they took down a nice one, proving that you never know what you’ll run into on a Night Hunt in South Georgia.

Night Two:

Hog Hunting is Back!

Hog Hunting

Photo: There Is The Piggies!! @HogSWAT

After an unexpected Coyote Hunt the night before, the pressure was on to put some Pigs on the ground. Wes got the team into a solid setup, and this time, the Hogs cooperated. By the end of the night, they had three Wild Hogs Down - a solid way to wrap up their Thermal Hog Hunt.

A Hunt to Remember

Hunting is all about the experience, and these two got the full package - Thermal Equipment, surprise Predators, and a solid Pig takedown on night two. We hope they had as much fun as we did, and maybe we’ll see them back in Georgia for another round of Thermal Hunting!

If you’re ready for your own Hunting Adventure, book a Hunt with Hog SWAT today. You never know what you’ll encounter in the fields, but one thing’s for sure - you won’t forget it!

A Two-Night Hunt with Guide Hank

Hog Hunting

Photo: Dragging Hogs Off The Field @HogSWAT

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Got Em @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, we know that Hog Hunting is as much about strategy and persistence as it is about skill. Some nights, the Pigs seem to vanish like ghosts. Other nights, everything comes together for an Adrenaline-Fueled Hunting showdown.

Recently, Guide Hank led a group of five Hunters on a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia. With the fields primed and the gear dialed in, the stage was set for an Action-Packed Hunt.

Night One:

A Tough Start

Hunting Wild Hogs is never predictable, and the first night proved just that. The group got into position on what looked like a promising setup, but the unpredictable nature of the wild took over. Just as things were getting interesting, a few deer spooked nearby, sending the Wild Pigs scattering before anything could happen.

Not ones to be discouraged, the Hog Hunters pressed on. Later in the night, they spotted more hogs moving through a field, but before they could close the distance, the Wild Hogs disappeared into a patch of tall cotton - gone as quickly as they had appeared. Despite the challenges, the group stayed determined.

Night Two:

Never Back Down

After a tough first night, the pressure was on. When Max, the Owner of Hog SWAT, gives you a lead on where to find Pigs, you listen - and that’s exactly what Hank and his hunters did.

With renewed focus, the team set up in a field that had been holding Wild Pigs. This time, everything fell into place. They spotted a Group of 7 Hogs and moved in. When hank said 3,2… and Hogs Scattered. Multiple Pigs took hits, but only one - a Big Sow. Success.

Great Success in the End

Even with a slow first night, the hunters left with a hard-earned victory. That’s the way it goes with Wild Hogs - some nights they win, but if you stay persistent, you’ll get your shot. Guide Hank put his crew in position to succeed, and they made it happen.

At Hog SWAT, we don’t quit. If you’re ready to test your skills on the toughest game in the Georgia, book your Guided Hog Hunt today. The Wild Pigs are out there - are you up for the challenge?

Catching Possums

Photo: They Caught Em @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, we live for the thrill of the hunt. There’s nothing like scanning the fields under the cover of darkness, tracking down wild hogs with thermal optics, and putting our skills to the test. Our recent group of five Hunters got a firsthand experience of why a 2 Night Hog Hunt is the way to go.

Night One:

A Long Walk in the Dark

Guide Zev led the crew across five miles of farmland, scanning every field, every tree line, and every shadow for Wild Hogs. But that’s Hunting - some nights, the Pigs just don’t cooperate. We don’t sit in stands over bait piles. We go after them. That means some nights, even when you put in the work, the Wild Pigs don’t show up. But the Wild Hog Hunt doesn’t end there.

Night Two:

Redemption

The second night was a completely different story. Once the conditions lined up, the team got a few Wild Hogs, and even managed to snap a picture with three of them. There was also an unexpected guest - a possum - caught in the action for reasons unknown, maybe he wanted to see what all the commotion was about… lol.. Just another night in South Georgia.

This group came ready for the Thermal Hunt, and they got what they came for. The wild card?

Why Two Nights?

1 Night Hog Hunts are a gamble. You might get lucky, or you might cover five miles without a shot. But on a Two-Night Hog Hunt, you increase your chances of success. We can’t promise a hog every time - that’s real Wild Hog Hunting - but we can promise that we’ll put in the work to make it happen.

We don’t bait. We don’t sit in stands. We track, we stalk, and we hunt - like men.

Book Your Hunt

If you’re ready for an Adrenaline-Packed Hunting Experience Chasing Wild Hogs under the stars, book your Guided Hog Hunt today. One night or two, the chase is always worth it. But if you really want to stack up some pigs, go for the two-night hunt.

See you in the field.
