South Georgia Hog Hunt
This 1-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia required persistence, patience, and a lot of ground coverage.
The night began by checking several known areas, including open fields and pivot systems, while monitoring movement across large sections of farmland. Early scanning revealed limited activity, but continued effort led to the detection of a single hog near a pivot field.
After closing the distance and setting up, a controlled engagement followed. Although the hog initially moved off at speed, careful observation and tracking revealed that it had dropped into a trench running through the field, where it was later successfully recovered.
After securing the recovery, additional fields were checked throughout the night, including multiple surrounding properties and travel corridors. While no further hog movement was located, the hunt concluded with a positive outcome and a strong effort across a wide area.
This Wild Hog Hunt highlighted the realities of Thermal Hog Hunting in South Georgia — covering ground, adapting to changing conditions, and staying persistent until an opportunity presents itself.
Hog Hunt - Night 2
Night 2 of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia started with early opportunity.
Not long after getting into the fields, a single hog was located and the setup came together quickly. The group capitalized on the moment, resulting in a successful recovery early in the night.
After that, the night slowed down considerably. Hog movement dropped off, and the remaining hours passed quietly as conditions stayed calm and activity stayed minimal.
While Night 2 didn’t bring the same pace as the first night, it still delivered a solid early encounter and wrapped up a two-night Thermal Hunt that showed both sides of Thermal Hog Hunting — fast action one night, a slower, quieter finish the next.
That’s Hunting in South Georgia:
sometimes the night runs long,
sometimes it wraps up early,
and sometimes both happen on the same Hog Hunt.

Multiple Sounders with Hog SWAT
This 1-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia with Hog SWAT was a textbook example of how effective a split hunt strategy can be when conditions line up.
With six hunters total, several of whom had hunted with us before, guides Clayton and Jordan worked together to maximize opportunity by covering more ground. Early in the night, both guides regrouped the entire party for a coordinated stalk on a sounder, giving all six hunters the chance to experience a real, hands-on thermal approach.
That stalk came together cleanly, resulting in four hogs recovered from the first encounter — a great start and a high-energy moment for the group.
Afterward, the guides split back up to continue covering ground. Clayton located another sounder and successfully capitalized, recovering two additional hogs. On Jordan’s side of the split, another sounder was found, but the hogs stayed on the move and slipped into the trees before a setup could be made — a common outcome when Wild Hogs are pressured and mobile.
From start to finish, the night moved smoothly and efficiently, highlighting what makes Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia so effective when teamwork, experience, and conditions align.
A fast-moving, productive night in the books with Hog SWAT.
Start Of a 2-Night Hog SWAT Hunt
Night 1 of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia got off to a solid start with Guide Zev leading the way for Hog SWAT.
The first major encounter of the night came with a Large Sounder of Feral Hogs, offering the kind of opportunity Thermal Hog Hunters hope for. With steady setups and clear communication, two hogs were successfully recovered from the group — a strong opening to the Guided Hog Hunt and a reminder of how effective Thermal Hunting can be when hogs are grouped up and actively feeding.
Later in the night, Zev located a Lone Hog in a separate area. Singles can be some of the most challenging animals to Hunt — constantly moving, cautious, and unpredictable. Even so, the team was able to make the most of the opportunity and connect on the hog.
While the night didn’t involve nonstop action, it delivered exactly what Hog Hunting is about:
• finding pigs naturally
• adapting to different hog behaviors
• and capitalizing on the opportunities that present themselves
Night 1 wrapped up with multiple hog recoveries, setting a solid foundation for Night 2 and whatever challenges the next evening might bring.
At Hog SWAT, every Wild Hog Hunt is different — and that’s what makes Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia such a rewarding experience.
Hog Hunting In Georgia
Night 2 of this 2 Night Hog Hunt with Guide Clay was a quieter one — something every hunter understands is part of the game, especially when conditions shift and animals change patterns.
After covering ground and staying patient, the team eventually located a group of two hogs. The setup came together, shots connected, and one hog was successfully recovered, while the second made it into cover and could not be safely located.
Even on a slower night, the experience stayed positive from start to finish. The hunters enjoyed the time in the field, appreciated the effort that went into the Thermal Hog Hunt, and left in great spirits. By the end of the night, they were already talking about coming back next year after Christmas, which is always the best compliment we can receive.
At Hog SWAT, we know not every night is fast-paced — but every night is real. Hunting, Conditions, and effort from our guides.
Another solid night in the books with Hog SWAT, and we’ll be ready when these guys return.
Boar Hunting In Georgia
Boar Hunting in Georgia isn’t always easy — some nights test your patience, your timing, and your ability to adapt. But that’s what makes Thermal Hog Hunting so rewarding.
On this hunt, Guide Capt. Max led his hunters through a quiet South Georgia night that started slow. After several fields with little movement, they finally spotted a Sounder of Wild Hogs feeding among the tall corn stalks. Everything was lining up until the wind shifted — and the group scattered.
But one Lone Boar made the mistake of staying behind. With the Thermal locked in, the hunters lined up for the perfect chance —
Bam! Pow! Pow! Pow! — the boar sleeping.
That’s what Hog SWAT hunts are all about — patience, teamwork, and the adrenaline rush that comes when all the pieces fall into place. Every Wild Hog Hunt is different, and every stalk teaches something new about how these powerful animals move through Georgia farmland.
At Hog SWAT, we specialize in Guided Thermal Hog Hunts across South Georgia, using state-of-the-art thermal to track and manage Feral Hog Populations. Wild Hogs cause millions in crop damage each year, and our Hog Hunts help control their numbers while giving hunters an unforgettable experience in the process.
If you’re ready to experience the challenge of Boar Hunting in Georgia, Hog SWAT delivers — real guides, real Hunts, and real results.
Boar Hunts In Georgia
Guide Zev recently led a one-night Thermal Hog Hunt for Hog SWAT, and it turned into one of those short, sweet, and memorable nights in the field. The group spent the first part of the night scanning plenty of deer through the thermal, waiting for the right opportunity.
Eventually, a hog made an appearance — and that’s when things got exciting. There’s nothing quite like watching a sounder or a single hog light up on thermal in the middle of the night. Every detail, from their movement to the heat signature in the grass, brings a whole new level of adrenaline to Night Hog Hunting.
That’s what makes Boar Hunting in Georgia so unique. Even on a short trip, every field holds surprises, and every Wild Hog Hunt offers something different. The experience itself — the teamwork, the gear, and the thrill of spotting pigs under thermal — is what keeps hunters coming back year after year.
South Georgia Hog Hunt
Night one of the two-night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia was full of action and long stalks. Early in the evening, deer were moving heavy, but the Wild Hogs didn’t make their appearance until later. Around 2:30 a.m., the hunters finally spotted the first pig. This hog gave them a real challenge, staying just out of range and eventually slipping into the treeline after nearly 45 minutes of pursuit.
By 4:30 a.m., another hog appeared, and they made a long stalk. Just as they got into position, the hog disappeared into the woods without offering a shot. Moments like that are what make Guided Hog Hunts in Georgia so unpredictable—you never know if it’ll be easy or if you’ll have to work for every opportunity.
Determined not to give up, Guide Kaleb took the hunters to a field that’s produced pigs right around daybreak before. Sure enough, history repeated itself. At 5:30 a.m., they located a Sounder of Hogs feeding in the field. Using Thermal, we closed the distance, made the stalk, and got one hog clean in the field. Another made it to the trees, but it crossed onto neighboring property where recovery wasn’t possible.
This South Georgia Hog Hunt proved why persistence pays off. Whether chasing single Boars or stalking into a Sounder, every Hog Hunt is a new memory. Guided Thermal Hunts with Hog SWAT are more than just Hunting—they’re about the challenge, the chase, and helping landowners with Feral Hog Control.

Boar Hunting In Georgia
This Boar Hunt with Hog SWAT and Guide Kaleb was one for the books. Early in the evening, a Massive Boar was spotted in one of the first fields. After a quick stalk, the father, son, and daughter trio worked together to ensure this Wild Hog didn’t slip away. When the group walked up, it was clear just how impressive this boar was—by far one of the biggest Kaleb has ever put his hands on. For reference, standing next to the hog, one hunter at 5’8” was nearly the same length!
Not long after, the group moved into another field filled with deer. As they waited, another hog entered, giving them the perfect opportunity for a smooth stalk. The result was another Wild Boar on the ground, making the night even more memorable.
While the action slowed down after that, the highlights of the night had already been made. For the daughter, it was her very first hog, and she may just be hooked for life! It was a night full of memories, teamwork, and the kind of success that makes Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia such an unforgettable adventure.
Whether you’re looking for your first Wild Hog Hunt or chasing your next Big Boar, Hog SWAT’s Thermal Hunts in South Georgia deliver the experience of a lifetime.
Two Nights of Nonstop Thermal Hog Hunting in South Georgia
When you book a Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, you never know exactly how the night will unfold—but that’s part of the adventure. Guide Kaleb recently led a group on a Two-Night Thermal Hog Hunting Trip in South Georgia, and both nights delivered excitement, challenges, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Night 1: A Fast Start
The first field set the pace right away with a small Sounder moving across the crops. After a careful stalk, the hunters made quick work of it and put hogs on the ground. Not long after, another sounder appeared in a nearby field. Kaleb knew from experience that these Hogs would circle back, and sure enough, they did. With patience and the advantage of thermal, the team was able to close the distance and add more Wild Hogs to the tally. Between long walks, heavy drags, and sticky mud, the night was both hard work and high reward—everything a Night Hog Hunt in Georgia is supposed to be.
Night 2: The Challenge Continues
The second night brought new challenges but just as much adrenaline. The first field held a group of five hogs, but dozens of deer in the area made the stalk more complicated. A Lone Boar showed up later, requiring a long and careful approach. The cover was tight, and the hog managed to slip away. Later in the evening, another opportunity presented itself, and after a patient stalk the hunters connected—but the hog showed just how tough these animals can be.
Even though night two didn’t bring as many photos, it was packed with action, laughs, and the kind of camaraderie that makes Guided Hog Hunts in South Georgia unforgettable.

Two Nights, Great Memories —
A Hunt with Guide Kaleb
At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt has its own story—and sometimes, it’s the unpredictable nights that leave the strongest memories. Guide Kaleb recently led a two-night Thermal Hog Hunt that brought its share of excitement, challenges, and a whole lot of laughter.
Night one started off slow, but momentum picked up when the group spotted a Lone Hog early on. The team worked together seamlessly, and it was one of those perfect moments that makes it all worthwhile. While the rest of the night was quiet on the fields, the energy stayed high. “Lots of laughs and great conversations,” Kaleb said. “These guys were awesome to spend the night Hunting Wild Hogs with.”
Night two kicked off with some early action as a Coyote came into a call. Chances were taken, but the coyote slipped away. Not long after, the crew got on a Sounder of Hogs that led them on a chase across the field—twice around a running pivot. Eventually, the group had a clear opportunity, and several Pigs were looked like they were almost re-homed, but none remained in the field. Later that night, they spotted another Group Of Wild Hogs, but a distant sound that i’m not allowed to say because google can be weird spooked the animals before anything could develop. To wrap things up, they pulled into one last field and spotted another Coyote in the Wild. A quick mouth call brought it in close, but once again, it managed to slip away.
Despite the wild ups and downs, the experience was everything a great Wild Hog Hunt should be. “These were some of the best guys I’ve guided yet,” Kaleb said. “Tons of laughs and some awesome memories made.”
At Hog SWAT, that’s what it’s all about—long nights, good people, and stories that’ll last well beyond the Hog Hunting Season.

Persistence Pays Off:
A Long Night of Hog Hunting with Guide Hank
Some nights, the Pigs are everywhere. Other nights, they make you work for it. Guide Hank just wrapped up a 1 Night Hog Hunt that pushed patience and determination to the limit.
The night started slow—real slow. “Looked for Wild Pigs everywhere with none in sight,” Hank said. But giving up isn’t in the Hog SWAT playbook. The team stayed on the move, Scanning Fields, cutting through the darkness with Thermal Equipment, and covering miles in search of hogs.
As the night stretched into the early morning hours, it looked like the Hogs might win this round. But then, just before dawn, they caught sight of a Lone Hog sneaking through the last field of the night. This was the moment they had been waiting for.
The Hog Hunters moved in. From there it was success. But the hard work paid off: the Hunters took home some harvest and, more importantly, a night full of memories.
“Great success,” Hank summed up. And that’s what it’s all about—putting in the effort, staying patient, and making the most of every opportunity.

Thermal 3 Night Hog Hunt
Close Range Hog Hunting with Guide Zev
Hog Hunting is all about patience, skill, and taking advantage of the opportunities that come your way. Guide Zev recently led a Three-Night Hog Hunt that put his Hunters right in the middle of the action.
On one of the nights, the team found themselves inside 50 yards of a Massive Sounder—more than 30 hogs moving together through the fields. When the dust settled, there was success.
The last night, the team had another incredible opportunity.. The guys were great sports, but the long stalks had them a little out of breath. Sometimes, the excitement of the chase gets the best of even the most Seasoned Hunters! Though no Hogs photos were taken, the sheer number of Wild Pigs seen in one night was unbelievable.
Encounters like this are what make Thermal Hog Hunting so thrilling. Finding a Sounder that size is never guaranteed, and getting within range without getting busted takes experience and strategy. Though more hogs escaped into the night, the excitement of being that close and making successful moments for an Unforgettable Hunt.
Another great Hunting Trip in the books, and as always, the pigs won’t stay hidden for long. The next Hunt is just around the corner!

On a recent two-night Hunting Adventure, Guide Hank led a Father-son Hunting Trip on a Hog Hunt that was full of lessons, strategy, and — most importantly —success.
Night 1:
A Bonus Hog with No Dragging
The first night started strong with one Hog Down early on. The Hunters got a second chance, but it made a break for the woods. Just when they thought the night was over, another Pig popped up in the field on the way back to the van. Success agian. We’ll call that a win-win.
Night 2:
Quick Thinking, Quick Shooting
The second night started with a bit of luck. While driving past a field, Hank Spotted Pigs right by the road. Wasting no time, they turned around, pulled in, and set up behind the van for cover. Just as they were getting ready, a couple of passing vehicles lit them up with headlights - an unexpected obstacle, but the Wild Pigs didn’t bolt. The Hog Hunters had success two more Wild Hogs before the Sounder scattered.

Three Nights, Six Hogs:
A Hog Hunt to Remember
Guide Luke and his two Hunters arrived for a 3 Night Thermal Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, ready to put their skills to the test. From the very first night, the action was on, with Pigs Spotted immediately. Each night brought new challenges, but with patience, strategy, and expert guiding, they racked up an impressive total of 6 Hogs. Here’s how it all went down.
Night 1:
Off to a Strong Start
The first night started with a promising sight - Pigs moving between trees on two different properties where Hog SWAT has access. Unfortunately, the only path between them was directly upwind, making a direct approach impossible without spooking the hogs.
Instead, Luke took a different route, leading his Hog Hunters through a small opening to get within good distance. The strategy paid off as they got 2 Hogs right out of the gate. The rest of the night was quiet, but with two Pigs, it was already a success.
Night 2:
Adapting to the Conditions
The second night presented a new challenge - a Sounder of Hogs in an open, well-lit field, making it tough to move in undetected. Luke spotted an opportunity when the Pigs moved behind hay bales, breaking their line of sight. Using the cover to his advantage, he swiftly guided the hunters into position at about 60 yards. They had success.
Night 3: The Grand Finale
The last night of the Hog Hunt needed to be big - and it delivered. The highlight of the night was a patient, well-executed stalk that resulted in 3 Hogs, including an impressive Blue Boar.
With a full moon overhead, stealth was critical. Luke used a pivot as cover, keeping it between the hunters and the hogs as they closed the distance. The strategy worked perfectly, allowing them to get within 120 yards. The patience and persistence paid off, wrapping up the Thermal Hunt with a total of six hogs over three nights.

Thermal Hog Hunting
Four Nights, Two Guides, and a Whole Lot of Patience
Not every Hog Hunt goes as planned. Sometimes the Hogs cooperate, sometimes they don’t - but that’s what makes Hog Hunting such a challenge. A recent 4 Night Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT proved just that, as our Hog Hunters put in the work across multiple nights, with two different guides, to finally get some results.
Night 1 & 2:
Hunting with Guide Wes
The first two nights were led by Guide Wes, and while the team put in the effort, the Wild Hogs weren’t exactly lining up to be taken. Field after field, stalk after stalk, they stayed just out of reach - until finally, persistence paid off. One Hog Down.
Not the numbers we hoped for, but the Wild Hog Hunt was far from over.
Night 3:
Switching it Up with Guide Zev
With two nights down and one Hog to show for it, the Hog Hunters regrouped with Guide Zev for the second half of their trip. The third night, the team had an opportunity but ended up with a Small Hog. Not the Trophy Boar they were after, but sometimes that’s the way it goes.
Night 4:
A Sounder and a Better Ending
By night four, frustration could have set in, but these hunters weren’t quitting. With Zev leading the way, they got another chance this time at a Full Sounder. One more Wild Pig was success, giving them a proper ending to a long Hunt.
Hog Hunting is unpredictable, and no two nights are ever the same. Sometimes it’s a grind, sometimes it’s easy. But every hunt is a story, and this one was all about patience, persistence, and making the most of every opportunity.

Night One:
Surprise! It’s a Coyote Hunt
The first night started off with high hopes for Wild Hogs, but as any Seasoned Hunter knows, the night can take unexpected turns. Instead of Piggies, the father and son found themselves locked in on a different target - a Coyote. With a well-placed shot, they took down a nice one, proving that you never know what you’ll run into on a Night Hunt in South Georgia.
Night Two:
Hog Hunting is Back!
After an unexpected Coyote Hunt the night before, the pressure was on to put some Pigs on the ground. Wes got the team into a solid setup, and this time, the Hogs cooperated. By the end of the night, they had three Wild Hogs Down - a solid way to wrap up their Thermal Hog Hunt.

A Night of Thrills and Unexpected Encounters
Last night was nothing short of exhilarating as Guide Hank took a Solo Hunter into the South Georgia Fields for an unforgettable night of Hog Hunting In Georgia. With the moon shining bright and adrenaline running high, the duo set out for a Hunting Adventure that they wouldn't soon forget.
The evening kicked off with a strategic stalk along the treeline, each step a careful dance of patience and focus. It wasn’t long before they spotted their target: a robust Wild Boar. With a steady hand and keen eye, the Hog Hunter took the first moment, but the Boar—fueled by instinct and perhaps a touch of stubbornness—charged straight toward them.
At a heart-pounding distance of about 40 yards, the tension was palpable. Hank quickly guided the Boar Hunter, and with a second moment, the Wild Boar was successfully stopped, peacefully putting him up. It was a great success for the night, showcasing both skill and collaboration in the field.
But the adventures didn’t end there! As they made their way back, the night took another unexpected turn. They stumbled upon a couple of Runaway Cows that had somehow strayed from their herd. While the Cows were not part of the night’s Hunting Plans, they added a delightful twist to the evening.
It’s encounters like these that make each Hog Hunting Trip unique and memorable. Whether it’s bringing home a Prize Boar or sharing a laugh over unexpected wildlife, nights like this remind us of the unpredictable nature of The Great Outdoors.

Hog SWAT:
The Wild Chronicles of a Three-Night Hunt
In The World of Hunting, camaraderie and the thrill of the chase can lead to Unforgettable Hunting Stories. This was certainly true for a trio of adventurers on a recent 3 Night Hog Hunt, where one participant, Tim, turned what could have been a standard outing into a memorable experience.
From the get-go, Tim’s enthusiasm was infectious. Described as a non-stop talker, he filled the night air with stories and excitement, making it quite the entertaining Hunting Adventure. The first night brought its own set of challenges, culminating in what some might call a "burning" experience—though not literally!
On the second night, the excitement ramped up when the Hunters drove upon a sprawling field teeming with a Sounder of 30 Wild Pigs. Tim, barely able to contain his excitement, quickly found himself in an unexpected predicament. Just as they were preparing to stalk the herd, in a whirlwind of excitement, they had to stop the stalk little pit stop.
After the unexpected pitstop, the Hog Hunt pressed on. Remarkably, the Wild Hogs remained unfazed and still within reach. After some quick cleanup, the team went on to Harvest 4 Pigs that night. Let me say that agian.. 1 guy 30 pigs. He got 4!! That is good!!!
However, as adventures go, the final night proved to be a slower affair. Only one Hog made its appearance, and in the chaos of the moment, Tim managed to tryonly for it to escape into the trees.
Though The Thrill of the Hunt came to an end, the stories shared and the laughter had made it clear that this 3 Night Hog Hunting Trip was one for the books. Tim’s antics, combined with Guide Zev’s amazing ablity to led, ensured that this Thermal Hog Hunt would be remembered fondly for years to come.
As they packed up and headed home, one thing was certain: even with its ups and downs, Hunting with Friends brings joy, laughter, and a few surprises—proving that it’s not just about the Wild Hog Hunt, but the stories you bring back with you. Until next time, Hog SWAT looks forward to more Wild Hunting Adventures!
