Thermal Predator Hunting

The night kicked off with plenty of movement in the southern fields. Using our AGM Thermal technology to scan through the activity, we located a solid sounder and successfully secured 3 Wild Hogs. It was a high-energy start that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

One of the unique aspects of Nighttime Hog Hunting in Georgia is the opportunity for Predator Hunting. While monitoring some thick cover for hog activity, we spotted a predator on the edge of the field. Using mouth calls to bring him into range, we verified it was a coyote and successfully completed the harvest. Coyote Hunting is a vital part of land management for our farmers, and we are always happy to help with predator control during our trips.

We wrapped up the night at "Mud Hole," where we located another active sounder. A precise Wild Hog Hunting stalk allowed us to secure 2 more pigs, bringing our nightly total to 5 hogs and 1 coyote. We are grateful we got to take these guys out and hope they had a blast experiencing the best Guided Hog Hunting and predator control that South GA has to offer!

📋 Field Report: Tactical Night Operation

Lead Guide: Hank (In coordination with Guide Jordan)

Location: South Georgia Agriculture Belt

Primary Gear: AGM Thermal

Hunting: Wild Boar & Coyote (Simultaneous Engagement)

Outcome: Successful Boar Harvest / Predator Control Initiative

When you book a Hunting Trip with the Best Hog Hunting Company, you have to be ready for the unpredictable. This recent night with Guide Hank started as a routine transit between fields but quickly turned into one of the most high-adrenaline stalks of the Hog Hunting Season.

The "Odd Field" Hog Hunting Discovery

While en route to rendezvous with Guide Jordan for a combined sounder sweep, Hank decided to check an "odd field"—a property that isn't always active but can hold surprises. His intuition paid off immediately when his Thermal picked up a massive solo boar roaming the open ground.

Hunting in the Field: Coyote Hunting

As the team began their stealthy approach, the situation shifted instantly. A Coyote emerged from the brush, charging toward the boar and nearly spooking the target before the hunters could get into position. This is where the Thermal Hunting experience of a Hog SWAT guide becomes invaluable.

The team had to move in a rush to set up before the predator "messed with the pig" and ruined the opportunity. With two different species in the frame, the decision was made to engage both simultaneously—a high-stakes maneuver that requires perfect coordination.

Hunting Wild Hogs

On the count of three, chances were made at both the coyote and the Boar. While the "ghost of the woods" managed to slip away into the shadows, the team remained locked on the primary target. The Wild Boar was successfully secured on the spot, turning a chaotic encounter into a textbook harvest.

This level of rapid-response Hog Hunting is exactly why we are the top choice for Night Hog Hunts in Georgia. We don't just sit and wait; we Wild Hog Hunt with an aggressive, tactical mindset that turns every "odd field" into a potential victory.

🐺 Why Thermal Predator Hunting Matters

In Georgia, managing the coyote population is just as important as controlling the invasive wild boar. When you hunt with Hog SWAT, you are participating in a professional land management program. Whether we are clearing sounders or intercepting predators, our Thermal Gear ensures that we see everything moving in the Georgia Night. That’s why Coyote Hunting and Boar Hunting is important.

📋 Field Report Summary

Trip Type: 1-Night Wild Hog Hunting

Lead Guide: Jordan

Primary Targets: Wild Boar & Coyotes

Key Tech: Advanced Thermal Imaging

Outcome: 3 Hogs Harvested & 1 Coyote Secured

Hog SWAT Hog Hunting with Guide Jordan

If you are looking for the Ultimate Night Hog Hunt, you know that the conditions can change in a heartbeat. Last night, Guide Jordan led an intense, one-night Georgia Hog Hunting excursion that put our gear, our patience, and our stalking skills to the test. From predator control to high-stakes sounder sweeps, here is the breakdown of the action.

Predator Control: Coyote Hunting at Close Range

We kicked off the night at our first location with high expectations. It didn’t take long for the Thermal to pick up two high-speed heat signatures: Coyotes.

We began a tactical stalk, but these "ghosts of the woods" slipped into a low spot in the standing corn. Thinking the opportunity had passed, we looped back toward the hunt van. Suddenly, they reappeared on our right flank, closing the gap to a mere 30-50 yards. Jordan signaled for silence, got one of the coyotes to pause, and with one hunter ready, we got the coyote on the spot. It was a perfect start to a night of Nighttime Predator Hunting.

Navigating Deer and Wild Boar

Next, we transitioned to a new property where we spotted a massive sounder of wild pigs on a northern field. After calling in Luke for backup, we moved in for a group stalk. This is where thermal hog hunting gets tricky.

As we moved in, a group of deer began cycling through the field, positioned directly between us and our targets. We found a narrow lane to continue the stalk, but the local wildlife had other plans. A deer on our left caught our scent and blew the alarm, sending the entire sounder bolted into the timber. It’s a classic reminder that when you’re Stalking Wild Hogs, the wind and the surrounding wildlife are just as important as anything else in Hog Hunting.

Hog Harvest

Determined to put some pork on the ground, we split up to glass different fields. Jordan spotted a second sounder and we quickly regrouped. This time, we played the wind perfectly, angling our approach to stay undetected.

We managed to get within 100 yards of the pigs as they settled into a natural "bowl" in the terrain—the perfect zone for a Thermal Hog Hunting. We coordinated our chances and successfully harvested three hogs in a matter of seconds.

Why Hunt with Hog Swat?

Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-timer looking for a Guided Hog Hunt, our team uses the best thermal imaging technology to ensure you're always on the meat. We ended the night on another field, but the woods had gone quiet—a sign of a successful night of pressure.

The second night of our South Georgia Hunting Trip with guide Jordan was a masterclass in persistence. After scouting several quiet sectors, our Thermal Hunting technology identified a single Wild Hog feeding near a tree line. The team executed a patient stalk, closing the distance to 70 yards for a clean, successful recovery.

The action then pivoted to Predator Hunting. While monitoring an agricultural pivot, the group encountered a coyote. After an initial high-stakes encounter, Jordan used tactical repositioning to set up a second opportunity from 100 yards out. The team stayed focused, resulting in a successful Coyote Hunting recovery that highlights the versatility required for Night Hunts in Georgia.

To wrap up the evening, we returned to a high-activity field and located a massive Wild Hog—a giant lone boar. With other hogs scattered in the distance, our guide prioritized the closest high-value target. A precise setup led to an instant recovery of the large boar, finishing the night on a high note. Whether we are focused on Boar Hunting or managing local predators, Hog SWAT delivers a professional, tactical experience every time we step into the South Georgia fields.

Hunting A Large Sounder

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

This 1-Night Guided Hog Hunt in Georgia delivered a textbook example of how wind, moonlight, and positioning come together in open farmland.

After covering multiple areas early with limited activity, Hog SWAT Guide Jordan located a Large Sounder of more than a dozen hogs grouped tightly under a pivot. With favorable wind and a bright moon providing excellent visibility, the decision was made to close distance and settle into a high-percentage setup just over 100 yards.

The first volley resulted in a confirmed hog recovery, with additional hogs pushing deeper toward the north side of the field. As the sounder began to break up and move off, disciplined chance selection continued until they reached the tree line.

While securing the initial recovery, a straggler hog broke from cover attempting to rejoin the group. A quick adjustment and confident execution resulted in a second confirmed recovery, closing out the most productive encounter of the night.

The remainder of the Hog Hunt was spent continuing to cover ground and assist other guides in the area, though no additional hog movement was located.

This Guided Hunt showcased exactly what Thermal Hog Hunting with Hog SWAT is about — reading conditions, working sounders in open fields, and executing clean opportunities when they present themselves.

Night one of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in South Georgia started with immediate activity.

Wild Hogs were located early in the evening, creating quick opportunities that required fast decision-making. While initial movement shifted before a setup could be completed, continued scanning paid off later in the night.

A Sounder was located in open ground, allowing the group to get positioned and capitalize on the opportunity. The setup resulted in two hogs successfully recovered, setting a strong tone for the rest of the Hog Hunt.

Night one demonstrated exactly what Guided Thermal Hog Hunting is about — covering ground, staying mobile, and making the most of opportunities when hogs present themselves.

Nonstop Activity and Multiple Opportunities

South Ga Night Sky

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

Night one of this 2-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia was packed with activity from start to finish.

The evening began with extensive scouting across multiple areas, where movement was consistently being picked up throughout the night. Predator activity was observed early on, keeping the group engaged while continuing to cover ground and monitor surrounding fields.

As the night progressed, several opportunities developed across different locations. While some animals moved off before setups could be completed, continued scanning revealed significant hog activity, including multiple sounders detected moving through agricultural areas and along field edges.

Later in the night, a large sounder consisting of dozens of hogs was observed grouped together in an area outside of accessible ground. Although the group remained just out of reach, it confirmed strong overall movement in the area and reinforced the importance of staying mobile.

Despite cold conditions and technical challenges caused by the weather, the team adapted and continued pushing through the night. Additional hog encounters followed, including close-range sightings and multiple stalks through open ground and along tree lines.

While night one didn’t result in recoveries, it was far from slow. The level of activity, number of encounters, and constant movement made it clear that the area was holding Wild Hogs — setting the stage for a strong second night.

Night one wrapped up with momentum heading into the final night of the Hog Hunt.

Hog Hunt - Night 2

Georgia Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting - Night 2 @HogSWAT

Night 2 of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia started with early opportunity.

Not long after getting into the fields, a single hog was located and the setup came together quickly. The group capitalized on the moment, resulting in a successful recovery early in the night.

After that, the night slowed down considerably. Hog movement dropped off, and the remaining hours passed quietly as conditions stayed calm and activity stayed minimal.

While Night 2 didn’t bring the same pace as the first night, it still delivered a solid early encounter and wrapped up a two-night Thermal Hunt that showed both sides of Thermal Hog Hunting — fast action one night, a slower, quieter finish the next.

That’s Hunting in South Georgia:
sometimes the night runs long,
sometimes it wraps up early,
and sometimes both happen on the same Hog Hunt.

Another honest Two-Night Wild Hog Hunt in the books with Hog SWAT.

Thermal Hog Hunting

Night one of the two-night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia was full of action and long stalks. Early in the evening, deer were moving heavy, but the Wild Hogs didn’t make their appearance until later. Around 2:30 a.m., the hunters finally spotted the first pig. This hog gave them a real challenge, staying just out of range and eventually slipping into the treeline after nearly 45 minutes of pursuit.

By 4:30 a.m., another hog appeared, and they made a long stalk. Just as they got into position, the hog disappeared into the woods without offering a shot. Moments like that are what make Guided Hog Hunts in Georgia so unpredictable—you never know if it’ll be easy or if you’ll have to work for every opportunity.

Determined not to give up, Guide Kaleb took the hunters to a field that’s produced pigs right around daybreak before. Sure enough, history repeated itself. At 5:30 a.m., they located a Sounder of Hogs feeding in the field. Using Thermal, we closed the distance, made the stalk, and got one hog clean in the field. Another made it to the trees, but it crossed onto neighboring property where recovery wasn’t possible.

This South Georgia Hog Hunt proved why persistence pays off. Whether chasing single Boars or stalking into a Sounder, every Hog Hunt is a new memory. Guided Thermal Hunts with Hog SWAT are more than just Hunting—they’re about the challenge, the chase, and helping landowners with Feral Hog Control.

Two Nights, Great Memories —

A Hunt with Guide Kaleb

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting In South Georgia @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt has its own story—and sometimes, it’s the unpredictable nights that leave the strongest memories. Guide Kaleb recently led a two-night Thermal Hog Hunt that brought its share of excitement, challenges, and a whole lot of laughter.

Night one started off slow, but momentum picked up when the group spotted a Lone Hog early on. The team worked together seamlessly, and it was one of those perfect moments that makes it all worthwhile. While the rest of the night was quiet on the fields, the energy stayed high. “Lots of laughs and great conversations,” Kaleb said. “These guys were awesome to spend the night Hunting Wild Hogs with.”

Night two kicked off with some early action as a Coyote came into a call. Chances were taken, but the coyote slipped away. Not long after, the crew got on a Sounder of Hogs that led them on a chase across the field—twice around a running pivot. Eventually, the group had a clear opportunity, and several Pigs were looked like they were almost re-homed, but none remained in the field. Later that night, they spotted another Group Of Wild Hogs, but a distant sound that i’m not allowed to say because google can be weird spooked the animals before anything could develop. To wrap things up, they pulled into one last field and spotted another Coyote in the Wild. A quick mouth call brought it in close, but once again, it managed to slip away.

Despite the wild ups and downs, the experience was everything a great Wild Hog Hunt should be. “These were some of the best guys I’ve guided yet,” Kaleb said. “Tons of laughs and some awesome memories made.”

At Hog SWAT, that’s what it’s all about—long nights, good people, and stories that’ll last well beyond the Hog Hunting Season.

Two Nights in the Field:

A Hog Hunt with Zev

Hunting Wild Hogs at night is about patience, awareness, and learning how to move through the dark without giving yourself away. Guide Zev recently took a group of 3 Hunters out for a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the first night tested their persistence, the second night proved to be a lesson in both skill and success.

Night 1:

Tough Luck and Coyotes

The first night out, the Hogs were nowhere to be found. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting—some nights they’re out in force, and other nights they vanish like ghosts. To break up the slow night, we tried to set up on two separate Coyotes. But let’s just say… things didn’t go as planned. Between movement, positioning, and the learning curve of Night Hunting, things happen not how we planned.

Night 2:

Pigs Down and Lessons Learned

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hog Down @HogSWAT

Pig Hunts In Georgia

Photo: Sleepy Piggy @HogSWAT

With the frustration of night one behind them, the guys came back determined. It paid off early when we saw a Lone Pig, and success. But the real action came later in the night when we spotted a Sounder. This time, we moved better, stalked quieter, and moved without getting caught by Wild Hogs. When the moment came, they connected—one Pig Down from the group.

We did lots of walking. Moving through open fields during night isn’t the same as walking through the fields during the day. Every step has to be intentional, every movement controlled. By night two, they had it figured out.

In the end, two Wild Pigs took a nap, and these Hog Hunters walked away with more than just harvest—they left with a deeper understanding of the Thermal Hunt. And next time, those Coyotes might not be so lucky.

When the Hogs Don’t Show, the Coyotes Will

Coyote Hunting

The first night, the hunters covered ground, scanning field after field, but the Hogs weren’t moving. That’s when the hunt took an unexpected turn - a Coyote stepped into range.

Thermal Hog Hunt? Not quite. Predator Hunt? Absolutely.

If you’ve never Hunted Coyotes, you’re missing out. These fast, Elusive Predators make for an exciting challenge, and the Hog Hunters made the most of the opportunity. First success of the Hunting Trip.

Night Two:

Back on Track

Hog Hunting

With a Coyote but no Wild Hogs yet, night two was all about redemption. Guide Zev put in the work, adjusting tactics and covering new ground. Then, finally - Pigs on the move.

The Coyote Hunters wasted no time, and success a Wild Hog. Just like that, the hunt was back on track.

The Challenge of Thermal Hog Hunting

Hunting Bobcats

Hog SWAT

A Wild Night in the Fields:

Hog Hunting… and a Bonus Bobcat!

At Hog SWAT, every Night Thermal Hunt is unpredictable. Some nights, the Hogs cooperate. Other nights, Mother Nature and the wild have different plans. Guide Hank recently led a group of four Hunters on a 1 Night Guided Hunt, and while the Wild Hogs played hard to get, the night still ended with a big success - including an unexpected Predator Encounter.

The Hunt Begins:

Close Calls and Tough Breaks

The first stalk of the night looked promising, but the wind wasn’t in there favor. A sharp-nosed hog caught there scent and was gone before anything could happen. On the second stalk, the team managed to connect with a Pig, but it made it into the woods before we could recover it for a picture - an unfortunate but common reality in Wild Hog Hunting.

Third Stalk:

An Unlikely Guest Appears

By the third setup of the night, the Hog Hunters were locked in and ready to go. They had just about closed the distance on a group of pigs when, out of nowhere, a Bobcat decided to crash the party - spooking the hogs and taking their place in the field.

With the Wild Pigs gone, the group quickly shifted gears. Everyone was on board with the new plan on the predator, the bobcat had its picture taken. This wasn’t just any bobcat - it was a perfect specimen, and the Bobcat Hunters decided it would make an awesome mount to remember the Bobcat Hunt.

Great Success in the End

While the night didn’t go exactly as planned, that’s what makes Thermal Hunting so exciting. Wild Hogs may have been the target, but the unexpected Trophy Bobcat of the night turned out to be a Beautiful Bobcat, making for an Unforgettable Hunting Experience.

If you’re ready for a Thermal Hog Hunt where anything can happen, book your Hunt with Hog SWAT today. Whether it’s Hogs, Coyotes, or a once-in-a-lifetime predator encounter, you never know what you’ll find in the Farm Fields of South Georgia!

Thrilling Night of Thermal Hog Hunting with Hog SWAT

Photo: Hunting @HogSWAT

If you’re looking for an Adrenaline-Filled Hunting in South Georgia, Hog SWAT has you covered! Last night, our expert Guide Hank led a group of Hunters into the field for an Unforgettable Hunting Experience in Thermal Hog Hunting. With a mix of challenge, teamwork, and a few unexpected moments, it was a night that certainly delivered on the excitement.

Hank described the crew as one of the easiest-going groups he’s encountered this season, which set the tone for an enjoyable outing. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the Thermal Equipment lit up the night, giving us a unique glimpse into the hidden world of Feral Hogs.

The Hunt Begins

Photo: It’s Just Sleeping @HogSWAT

Things kicked off with a sighting of a Wild Hog that just wouldn't sit still. In the heat of the moment, we jumped out of the van, no tripods — the excitement that comes with Thermal Hunting! As we approached the target, it spooked and bolted. Hank reported them touching the Pig two or three times, but it expectedly took off, moving at a leisurely yet determined pace almost 300 yards away.

The Chase is On

Hank assessed the situation. The Wild Pig was edging dangerously close to a pivot area, which would cut off our chance to get another chance. Time was of the essence, and in a split-second decision, Hank ensured everyone safely got into a position where he could to chase it down. Running 400 yards, he leapt a ditch, fueled by the desire to ensure the Wild Hog Hunt didn’t escape us.

Photo: You Can Run But You Can’t Hide @HogSWAT

Exhausted yet focused, Hank closed the distance, only to find that the pig had tapped into its last reserves of energy. In a final push, he sprinted towards it, as he got within 50 yards of the brush where the Wild Hog was heading. The climax of the run culminated in a decisive moment as Hank got the Hog, marking a hard-fought success.

A Bit More Excitement

But the fun didn’t end there! On the way off the field, success followed us as we managed to find two Rabbits. It appears that the night held more surprises for us than just the Hog Hunt.

While we didn’t spot any additional game after that, the thrill of the chase and the bond created among the Hog Hunters made it a night to remember.

Night 2: Stalking Success

As night fell for the second time, Jason and Trenton were eager to finish their Wild Hog Hunt on a high note. Hank had spotted a Big Boar and was confident they'd add to their impressive tally. However, as they stalked toward the Wild Boar, an unexpected Deer blew, scaring off their primary target and leading them on a chase.

But luck was on their side. Just as they thought the night was going to be a bust, another Wild Pig appeared in the field. With Hank's guidance, they quickly adapted their strategy and sneaked up on it. A well-placed shot later, and they had successfully added one more Hog to their collection!

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Two-Night Hunting Adventure

Photo: Wild Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, we pride ourselves on delivering Unforgettable Hunting Experiences in The Great Outdoors, and our recent 2 Night Hog Hunting Trip led by our expert Guide Hank was no exception. With adrenaline pumping and dreams of Wild Hogs dancing in their heads, our group set out for an adventure that turned out to be a true test of perseverance and skill.

Night One: A Lesson in Patience

As the sun dipped below the horizon on our first night, expectations ran high. With our gear prepped and the thrill of the Hunt ahead, they settled into the van, light filtering in from our Thermal optics from the van. However, it quickly became apparent that this Hunt was going to require more patience than anticipated.

The night was still, and after hours of waiting, they finally spotted movement—a curious Coyote wandering through the brush. Excitement surged through the group, but the sly creature caught wind of them and made a quick escape. Shots were fired, but they knew it was just a practice run, setting the stage for the bigger Hunt ahead.

Despite their best efforts, the first night passed with no Pig sightings and not a single photograph to show for it. Tired but undeterred, our group huddled together to share stories, refuel, and rekindle their resolve for the next night. After all, Hunting is as much about the journey as it is about the destination.

Night Two: The Sweet Taste of Success

With renewed vigor and unwavering determination, the second night arrived. Our group knew that great rewards often require hard work, and they were ready for the challenge. Under Hank’s expert guidance, they roamed farther and waited longer, meticulously scanning the landscape with thermal for any sign of their quarry.

As the hours dragged on, the anticipation built. Just as our spirits were beginning to wane, the unmistakable sight of a Wild Hog caught their attention. The atmosphere shifted instantly; hearts raced, and every breath seemed amplified in the stillness of the night.

After a cautious but focused approach, the moment arrived. With precision and skill that Guide Hank had instilled in them, the shot was taken, and patience finally paid off—a successful kill! The thrill of victory washed over the group.

The experience of tracking, waiting, and ultimately Securing a Wild Hog encompassed everything we love about Hunting—adventure, comradeship, and a deep respect for nature.
