Night Hunting In Georgia
This 1-Night Guided Hog Hunt in South Georgia delivered nonstop activity and a strong finish.
The night began with extensive scouting across multiple areas, with frequent predator and hog movement observed throughout the evening. Several early encounters required quick decision-making as animals moved in and out of cover before setups could be completed.
Later in the night, a single hog was located in open ground, allowing the group to close distance and set up carefully. After an initial encounter where the hog moved off into cover, continued scanning paid off when another hog entered the field nearby. A controlled setup followed, resulting in the first successful recovery of the night.
As the Guided Hunt continued, additional hog movement was detected near field edges and tree lines. A final stalk on a sounderproduced further success, with multiple hogs successfully recovered before activity slowed.
By the end of the night, the group had logged steady movement, multiple stalks, and three confirmed recoveries, making it a productive and exciting one-night hunt. This night highlighted exactly why persistence and adaptability are key during Thermal Hog Hunting across Georgia farmland.
Hog Hunting: Close Encounters
Night two of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia brought continued opportunity and steady action throughout the evening.
The night began with checking several areas that had produced activity earlier, though movement was limited initially. Continued scouting paid off when a single hog was located in open ground, allowing the group to set up within close range. Solid initial hits were made before the hog moved off into nearby cover. Careful tracking followed, though the Wild Hog was not recovered.
As the night continued, additional areas were checked, producing several more encounters. Another single hog was spotted near open ground but moved off before a setup could be completed. Later in the evening, a sounder was located in an area outside of accessible ground, confirming that hog movement remained strong across the region.
One final opportunity presented itself later in the night when another single hog was located at close range. A setup was made and shots connected, but the hog moved into cover before recovery could be confirmed. Continued efforts were made to locate the hog, but it was ultimately not found.
While recoveries weren’t confirmed on night two, the Hog Hunt was far from quiet. Multiple encounters, close-range setups, and steady movement throughout the night reflected strong hog presence in the area. Combined with the activity seen on night one, the two-night Thermal Hunt demonstrated just how dynamic and unpredictable Thermal Hog Hunting in South Georgia can be.
Family Hog Hunting
Night one of this 2-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia brought challenging conditions, but solid results.
Cold temperatures and wet weather made for a tough night in the field, especially early on. Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, the group stayed committed and continued covering ground in search of hog movement.
That persistence paid off when a sounder was located, leading to a productive setup and four successful hog recoveries. The encounter turned the night around and highlighted how quickly conditions can change during a Thermal Hog Hunt.
Even on nights where weather and comfort aren’t on your side, teamwork and patience can still produce strong outcomes. Night one wrapped up as a successful start to the Hog Hunt, setting a positive tone heading into the second night.
Hog Hunting Americus, Ga
Guide Hank wrapped up the second night of this two-night Hog SWAT Hunt in Americus, Georgia with another solid success!
It was a long night of riding through the fields, scanning with thermals, and catching sight after sight of deer — but no Wild Hogs in range. Persistence pays off, though. Around 4 AM, the team finally spotted a Big Sow feeding alone in a peanut field.
With the bright moonlight backlighting their position, Hank and the hunters moved carefully to avoid spooking her. Once they lined up from about 200 yards out, they made it count. One clean placement, one Big Pig forever sleeping — great success.
This Wild Hog Hunt is a perfect example of what Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia is all about: patience, precision, and persistence. You never know when the next field, or the next hour, will turn into the moment you’ve been waiting for.

No Gaurentee In Hunting
Before heading out, the group spent time on the range — an important part of every Guided Thermal Hog Hunt in Georgia. This is where hunters get familiar with the fun things that go bang, practice with thermal, and review safety. Range time ensures that when the moment comes, hunters are confident and ready.
Guide Zev led this 1 Night Hog Hunt in Americus, Georgia. While a large sounder of nine hogs showed up, they were across the boundary line on neighboring property where we couldn’t pursue. Even without the opportunity to move in, the night still had plenty of highlights.
Out in the field, the Hog Hunt offered its own rewards. The South Georgia night sky, the farmland terrain, and the anticipation of seeing hogs kept the energy high. Hunting Wild Hogs isn’t always about immediate results — it’s about the pursuit, the camaraderie, and protecting farms when the chance presents itself.
As Zev put it, “The dudes were cool, I had fun.” That’s the spirit behind every Hog SWAT Hog Hunt. Each outing is unique, and while some nights end with hogs sleeping, others remind us why this work is so important — keeping destructive wild hogs in check while delivering an Unforgettable Hunting experience.
If you’re looking for the Ultimate Hog Hunting Adventure that combines adrenaline, advanced thermal technology, and farmland protection, book your South Georgia Boar Hunt with Hog SWAT and see why hunters from all over the country keep coming back.
Sounder of 30 Wild Hogs
Hog SWAT
Thermal 3 Night Hog Hunt
Close Range Hog Hunting with Guide Zev
Hog Hunting is all about patience, skill, and taking advantage of the opportunities that come your way. Guide Zev recently led a Three-Night Hog Hunt that put his Hunters right in the middle of the action.
On one of the nights, the team found themselves inside 50 yards of a Massive Sounder—more than 30 hogs moving together through the fields. When the dust settled, there was success.
The last night, the team had another incredible opportunity.. The guys were great sports, but the long stalks had them a little out of breath. Sometimes, the excitement of the chase gets the best of even the most Seasoned Hunters! Though no Hogs photos were taken, the sheer number of Wild Pigs seen in one night was unbelievable.
Encounters like this are what make Thermal Hog Hunting so thrilling. Finding a Sounder that size is never guaranteed, and getting within range without getting busted takes experience and strategy. Though more hogs escaped into the night, the excitement of being that close and making successful moments for an Unforgettable Hunt.
Another great Hunting Trip in the books, and as always, the pigs won’t stay hidden for long. The next Hunt is just around the corner!
First Time Hunting
Hog SWAT
Two Nights of Hog Hunting with Guide Hank –
A First-Time Hunter’s Success Story
At Hog SWAT, we pride ourselves on delivering adrenaline-packed, Unforgettable Hog Hunting Experiences. This week was no exception, as Guide Hank led a 2-Night Hunting Trip that resulted in not only an Epic First-Time Hunt but also a double success story in the same field!
Night 1:
A First-Time Hunter’s Dream
There’s nothing quite like the thrill of your First Hunt, and this Father and Son Hunting Duo got to experience it firsthand. After scouting a couple of fields, we finally located a Wild Hog and quickly moved into position. The Hog made a short run into the field. This was no ordinary Pig—this was a beast of a Wild Boar, and an incredible first hunt to mark the beginning of what’s sure to be a lifelong passion for hunting. The Father-Son Hunting Team left the night with an experience they will never forget.
Night 2:
Back for More
The second night brought another chance at success, and these Hunters did not disappoint. Returning to the same field as the night before, almost in the exact same location, they found another Piggy. Once again, patience and precision paid off. After searching for more pigs for a while, they decided to wrap up the night, satisfied with their hard-earned victories.
By the end of the Hunting Trip In Georgia, these Hog Hunters not only took home some great meat but also memories that will last a lifetime. It was another great success for Hog SWAT, proving once again why we are South Georgia’s Premier Thermal Hog Hunting Outfitter.

Wild Hog Hunting

Two Nights in the Field:
A Hog Hunt with Zev
Hunting Wild Hogs at night is about patience, awareness, and learning how to move through the dark without giving yourself away. Guide Zev recently took a group of 3 Hunters out for a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the first night tested their persistence, the second night proved to be a lesson in both skill and success.
Night 1:
Tough Luck and Coyotes
The first night out, the Hogs were nowhere to be found. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting—some nights they’re out in force, and other nights they vanish like ghosts. To break up the slow night, we tried to set up on two separate Coyotes. But let’s just say… things didn’t go as planned. Between movement, positioning, and the learning curve of Night Hunting, things happen not how we planned.
Night 2:
Pigs Down and Lessons Learned
With the frustration of night one behind them, the guys came back determined. It paid off early when we saw a Lone Pig, and success. But the real action came later in the night when we spotted a Sounder. This time, we moved better, stalked quieter, and moved without getting caught by Wild Hogs. When the moment came, they connected—one Pig Down from the group.
We did lots of walking. Moving through open fields during night isn’t the same as walking through the fields during the day. Every step has to be intentional, every movement controlled. By night two, they had it figured out.
In the end, two Wild Pigs took a nap, and these Hog Hunters walked away with more than just harvest—they left with a deeper understanding of the Thermal Hunt. And next time, those Coyotes might not be so lucky.
Brothers' Hunting Trip
Hog SWAT
Brothers’ Night Out:
A Hog Hunt to Remember
At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt is an adventure, and last night was no exception. Guide Max led Trevor and Lorry, two brothers looking for a thrilling Night of Hog Hunting. From the start, the energy was high—these guys came ready for action and a good time.
The night started slow, with fewer Hogs Moving than usual, but that didn’t put a damper on the Hunting Experience. With Thermal Equipment Scanning the Fields, we kept at it, sharing stories and plenty of laughs along the way. The wait paid off when a Big Boar finally presented itself. There was success.
Even on a slower night, good company and a Successful Hunt make for a Memorable Hog Hunting Experience. We had a blast with these guys and hope to see them back in the field soon for another round!

A Weekend of Wins
Father & Sons Hunt with Guide Hank
At Hog SWAT, we love seeing Families Hunt together. There’s something special about watching a father and his sons out in the field, learning the patience, discipline, and excitement that come with the Hunt. On a recent two-night Hunting Adventure, Guide Hank led a Father-son Hunting Trip on a Hog Hunt that was full of lessons, strategy, and — most importantly —success.
Night 1:
A Bonus Hog with No Dragging
The first night started strong with one Hog Down early on. The Hunters got a second chance, but it made a break for the woods. Just when they thought the night was over, another Pig popped up in the field on the way back to the van. Success agian. We’ll call that a win-win.
Night 2:
Quick Thinking, Quick Shooting
The second night started with a bit of luck. While driving past a field, Hank Spotted Pigs right by the road. Wasting no time, they turned around, pulled in, and set up behind the van for cover. Just as they were getting ready, a couple of passing vehicles lit them up with headlights - an unexpected obstacle, but the Wild Pigs didn’t bolt. The Hog Hunters had success two more Wild Hogs before the Sounder scattered.
Hunting Builds Character
This father and his sons didn’t just bring home hogs - they shared a Hunting Experience they’ll remember forever. At Hog SWAT, we believe Hunting teaches responsibility, patience, and resilience. It’s about passing down skills and values that turn young men into men.

A Night of Hog Hunting with Guide Zev Lee
Hog Hunting in South Georgia is never predictable, and for this group of three Hunters, the night was a test of persistence. With Guide Zev leading the way, they covered plenty of ground in search of Wild Hogs, and by the end of the night, their efforts paid off.
A Tough Start
The Hog Hunt kicked off early with a Single Hog spotted in the distance. The Hog Hunters had success with a Tough Boar. Zev moved the group in closer, but the Hog, now spooked, disappeared into the darkness.
Miles on Foot, Pigs on the Move
Determined to find more targets, the group pushed on, covering a lot of ground in pursuit of another Sounder. They finally closed in, only to find the Wild Pigs had already moved out of sight by the time they got into position. It was a frustrating setback, but they weren’t giving up yet.
Success at Last
At 2 a.m., the persistence finally paid off. A new Sounder of Hogs was spotted, and this time, the Hunters wasted no time. Moving in quickly, and 2 Pigs, ending the night with a hard-earned victory.

Hunting In Darkness
Hog SWAT
At Hog SWAT, the excitement of Wild Hog Hunting is always alive, and last night was no exception. Under the expert guidance of Guide Hank, two enthusiastic Hunters embarked on a mission that would prove to be both thrilling and rewarding. The night was filled with laughter and the satisfaction that comes with a successful hunt.
The Hunt Begins
The adventure kicked off as Guide Hank led the team to an area known for its active Pig Population. Anticipation ran high as they initially stalked a Sounder of Pigs — groups that typically indicate good Hunting opportunities. However, just as their excitement peaked, the Pigs vanished into the thick brush, leaving the Hunters momentarily at a loss.
But in the world of Hog Hunting, adaptability is key. Realizing the need for a change in strategy, Hank redirected the hunters to focus on a Solo Hog that was still traversing the area. With the expertise of Thermal Hunting technology in play, they were able to spot the Lone Pig in the dark with incredible clarity.
Thrills of Thermal Hog Hunting
At Hog SWAT, we champion the use of Thermal Imaging Equipment, which has revolutionized how we approach Wild Hog Hunting. This state-of-the-art technology allows Hunters to detect heat signatures from animals, making low-light and Night Hunts significantly more successful. For our hunters, it meant tracking the solo Wild Hog effortlessly, even in the cover of darkness.
With adrenaline pumping, the duo took their shot on the run, showcasing their skills and presenting a moment of high intensity. A perfect hit brought the lone pig down, marking a moment of success that both the hunters and Guide Hank would remember fondly.
A Great Evening with Great People
Throughout the night, the focus wasn’t solely on the hunt; it was also about having a good time. The camaraderie between Hank and the hunters created an atmosphere of fun and excitement, making the experience enjoyable beyond the pursuit of Wild Boars.

The Muddy Hogs
After overcoming a few slight delays, we ventured towards our swampy fields in eager anticipation of the Hunt. With utmost caution, we cautiously traversed the field and were thrilled to spot numerous Deer on our Thermals. However, our persistence paid off when we discovered a small Sounder nestled deep within the sorghum, hidden in a low spot.
Undeterred by the challenging conditions, which included traversing 750 yards of muddy terrain and navigating through noisy cut sorghum, we valiantly pursued our quarry. Skillfully setting up our Hunting Tripods in complete silence, we took aim at a magnificent Sow and her brood. The tension mounted as we counted down, "3, 2, BANG!" Suddenly, the Pigs darted away in a bewildering display of erratic movement, seemingly unsure of their destination.
With our prized catches secured, we remained alert and vigilant throughout our journey. Just as we were about to depart, fate smiled upon us, revealing a magnificent 200 lb Boar boasting menacing 2-inch Tusks. Torn between charging us or making a mad dash towards the tree line, the Boar hesitated, spinning in circles as we took aim. It was a decisive moment, and we made the daunting choice for him, swiftly ending his existence in the muddy ground.
In the end, our expedition proved to be an Unforgettable Boar Encounter filled with exhilarating moments. The thrill of the hunt was complemented by the delectable meats harvested, providing a truly Unique Hunting Adventure that will forever be etched in our memories. Tim's final Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT ended on a successful note. However, their plans were foiled when a dog chased the Wild Pigs away from the field. Frustrated with the situation, they moved on to another field where a Sounder (a group of Hogs) was causing damage to a dairy pasture.
