We kicked off Night 1 with precision, securing three single boars through a series of stealthy stalks. Using our AGM Thermal gear, we managed to drop one pig just 70 yards from a massive sounder without alerting the rest of the group—a perfect example of the stealth required for Nighttime Hog Hunting.

The night peaked with a high-stakes stalk on a sounder of 20+ pigs. We successfully maneuvered within 80 yards, and while the team secured another harvest as the group scrambled, we know the potential was there for even more. That’s the thrill of Wild Boar Hunting—even with a perfect approach, the chaos of a large sounder keeps you on your toes.

We ended the first half of this 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt with 4 pigs down and are ready to get back at it for Night 2!

Americus, Ga Hog Hunting

Georgia Hog Hunting

Photo: Georgia Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

The Night Hog Hunting kicked off with plenty of movement as we navigated various terrains in Americus GA. After scouting several properties, we coordinated with Guide Noah to locate a large single boar. Using our AGM Thermal gear, we executed a successful Spot And Stalk Hunting, closing the distance to 100 yards and securing the first harvest of the night.

Later in the shift, we located a sounder of over 10 Wild Hogs positioned in the center of a large field. This setup required extreme discipline; because most of the group was lined up with an irrigation pivot, we had to carefully select targets in a safe chance lane to the left. The team initiated a 400-yard stalk and engaged, successfully tagging their targets during a high-speed encounter.

Despite the late hour, our guests' enthusiasm kept us in the field until past 5:00 AM, checking every possible acre for activity. We are grateful we got to take such a dedicated group out with us. It was a pleasure having them in the field, and we hope they had an unforgettable experience Hog Hunting in Georgia!

The night started off exceptionally quiet across multiple properties. We covered a lot of ground, scouting for any sign of activity. Early on, the team encountered a Coyote, but they chose to stay patient and hold out for their main target: Wild Hogs.

After a series of long scouts and a massive .72-mile Hog Hunting stalk that saw a sounder slip into the timber just in time, the team’s persistence finally was rewarded. In the final stretch of the night, Noah located a group of three pigs near a creek bottom. Using our AGM Thermal gear to track them along the wood line, the team moved in and secured the first harvest.

The action didn’t stop there. Just 15 minutes later, while regrouping at the van, three more pigs appeared in the exact same spot. The team quickly set back up and secured a second boar, ending a long night of Nighttime Hog Hunting on a high note. We are grateful we got to take these guys out and hope they had a blast experiencing Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia!

The night required elite-level patience and tactical maneuvering for this Wild Hog Hunt. After spotting a single boar in a field with mid-thigh high stalks, the team initiated a "blind stalk." Navigating through the dense cover, the group managed to close the distance and execute a difficult long-range "hail mary" chance, securing the first harvest before the Wild Boar could vanish into the timber.

Later in the evening, the team located another single boar positioned on a high dirt pile within a trench system. This was a challenging setup due to the uneven ground and corn stalks obscuring the view. Guide Jordan positioned the hunters on a high spot to gain a clear vantage point. After waiting for the perfect window, the team successfully tagged and dropped the boar.

It was a night defined by high-skill precision and professional guidance. We are grateful we got to take these guys out in the field and hope they enjoyed the challenge of a true Boar Hunting adventure with the best Hog Hunting Outfitter in Georgia!

Hog Hunt Starting Strong

Georgia Boar Hunting

Guide Noah started the night at Preston Field under a bright 1/4 moon. Despite the extra light, the team used the terrain to stay hidden. They spotted two Wild Hogs right at the start of the night. Using a high-precision Spot And Stalk, they moved within 100 yards. The hunter stayed calm and successfully secured the first harvest of the night—a great start to this Georgia Hog Hunting trip.

Thermal Hog Hunting

After checking 3 fields, the team moved toward another Field. This was a true test of stealth. With no moonlight but plenty of noise from the dry corn stalks, Noah led a massive 1,000-yard stalk, cutting the distance down to just 50 yards! The team engaged a large sounder and successfully secured another harvest.

Ending the Morning with a Bang

The night took a brief tactical turn as Noah stopped to assist Guide Jordan with a vehicle recovery (proving once again that the Hog SWAT team always has each other's backs!). Afterward, the team headed to Israel’s field for two more opportunities. While the Wild Boars in those fields were elusive and managed to evade the group, the adrenaline was high until the very end.

It was a successful solo 1 Night Hog Hunt that proved why Thermal Hog Hunting is the most exciting way to experience the Georgia outdoors.

Night Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hunting Hogs At Night @HogSWAT

The second night of this 2-Night Hog Hunt showed just how unpredictable Wild Hogs can be. The Hog Hunters started the evening sitting over a field, where plenty of deer and critters kept the night lively.

Around 2:30 a.m., two Hogs finally appeared. The deer in the field ended up spooking them and pushing them farther away, but the hunters stayed patient and made a move. They set up for a chance a little farther than normal and made contact with both pigs, but the hogs managed to slip into cover before they could be recovered.

Even without hogs to show, it was still a Thermal Hog Hunt full of action, close calls, and long hours under Thermal. That’s the reality of South Georgia Hog Hunting—sometimes the win comes in the chase itself.

Every night in the field adds to the experience, and with Feral Hogs, no two Guided Hog Hunts are ever the same.

Two Nights of Nonstop Thermal Hog Hunting in South Georgia

Hunting In South Georgia

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

When you book a Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, you never know exactly how the night will unfold—but that’s part of the adventure. Guide Kaleb recently led a group on a Two-Night Thermal Hog Hunting Trip in South Georgia, and both nights delivered excitement, challenges, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Night 1: A Fast Start
The first field set the pace right away with a small Sounder moving across the crops. After a careful stalk, the hunters made quick work of it and put hogs on the ground. Not long after, another sounder appeared in a nearby field. Kaleb knew from experience that these Hogs would circle back, and sure enough, they did. With patience and the advantage of thermal, the team was able to close the distance and add more Wild Hogs to the tally. Between long walks, heavy drags, and sticky mud, the night was both hard work and high reward—everything a Night Hog Hunt in Georgia is supposed to be.

Night 2: The Challenge Continues
The second night brought new challenges but just as much adrenaline. The first field held a group of five hogs, but dozens of deer in the area made the stalk more complicated. A Lone Boar showed up later, requiring a long and careful approach. The cover was tight, and the hog managed to slip away. Later in the evening, another opportunity presented itself, and after a patient stalk the hunters connected—but the hog showed just how tough these animals can be.

Even though night two didn’t bring as many photos, it was packed with action, laughs, and the kind of camaraderie that makes Guided Hog Hunts in South Georgia unforgettable.

Summer Hog Hunts In Georgia

Hog Hunting

Photo: Bach Trippppppp @PigProblem

Guide Kaleb led an unforgettable Bachelor Hunt recently. On just the second field of the night, the group spotted a Wild Hog in the back, with a large number of deer between them and their target. They carefully worked their way around most of the deer, but one caught wind and alerted the rest of the field. The Hog became cautious, but the group made a quick move and got into position. Everything came together perfectly. The rest of the night was full of wildlife sightings, including a special moment watching a group of pups—possibly coyotes—play together under the stars. Successful Hog Hunting.

Two Nights, Great Memories —

A Hunt with Guide Kaleb

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting In South Georgia @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt has its own story—and sometimes, it’s the unpredictable nights that leave the strongest memories. Guide Kaleb recently led a two-night Thermal Hog Hunt that brought its share of excitement, challenges, and a whole lot of laughter.

Night one started off slow, but momentum picked up when the group spotted a Lone Hog early on. The team worked together seamlessly, and it was one of those perfect moments that makes it all worthwhile. While the rest of the night was quiet on the fields, the energy stayed high. “Lots of laughs and great conversations,” Kaleb said. “These guys were awesome to spend the night Hunting Wild Hogs with.”

Night two kicked off with some early action as a Coyote came into a call. Chances were taken, but the coyote slipped away. Not long after, the crew got on a Sounder of Hogs that led them on a chase across the field—twice around a running pivot. Eventually, the group had a clear opportunity, and several Pigs were looked like they were almost re-homed, but none remained in the field. Later that night, they spotted another Group Of Wild Hogs, but a distant sound that i’m not allowed to say because google can be weird spooked the animals before anything could develop. To wrap things up, they pulled into one last field and spotted another Coyote in the Wild. A quick mouth call brought it in close, but once again, it managed to slip away.

Despite the wild ups and downs, the experience was everything a great Wild Hog Hunt should be. “These were some of the best guys I’ve guided yet,” Kaleb said. “Tons of laughs and some awesome memories made.”

At Hog SWAT, that’s what it’s all about—long nights, good people, and stories that’ll last well beyond the Hog Hunting Season.

Under the Stars with Guide Hank:

A Wild Night in the Georgia Fields

Hog Hunting

Photo: Big or Small?

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Were You Right?

Every Hog Hunt has its own story, and some nights play out like a scene from a movie. On a recent Thermal Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, Guide Hank led a group through an unforgettable night full of twists, turns, and the kind of unpredictable Wild Hog Action that keeps us coming back for more.

It all began around midnight when Hank spotted a Sounder in the distance. The team began a careful stalk, moving quietly through the Planted Field. But just as they were getting close, one sharp-eyed Pig caught a glimpse of movement and took off—leading the rest of the group deeper into the field.

Not ones to give up easily, Hank and the Hunters recalibrated and started a second approach. Confidence was high. Then, out of nowhere, two Coyotes came charging over the hill straight toward the Sounder Of Hogs. What could’ve ended the night actually turned into a wild advantage.

In a surprising twist, the Sows stood their ground and pushed back, creating a noisy standoff that distracted the group just long enough for Hank and the team to settle in and make the most of the opportunity. It was a moment that required patience, precision, and quick decision-making.

After that burst of action, the team continued scanning the fields until 4 a.m., soaking in the quiet beauty of rural South Georgia and the thrill of the chase. The night wrapped up with stories, laughs, and the satisfaction of a Wild Hog Hunt well executed.

Whether you’re a First-Time Hunter or a Seasoned Hunter , nights like these are what Hog SWAT is all about—real action, real strategy, and real memories.

A Night to Remember:

Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Kaleb

Some nights in the Planted Fields are packed with activity from the start. Others build anticipation until just the right moment. On a recent Hog SWAT Thermal Hunt, Guide Kaleb led a group through one of those slow-burn kind of nights—and it turned into an experience worth talking about.

“The night started off slow,” Kaleb said. “There were plenty of laughs and jokes being tossed around, but not much movement out in the fields.”

Even when the action takes its time, our team stays ready. Patience and persistence are key in this game, especially under the South Georgia stars. The team stayed alert, scanning the fields through Thermal, staying sharp despite the quiet.

Then, early in the morning, a single heat signature appeared.

“We spotted a Solo Hog moving through the brush,” Kaleb recalled. “We made a careful stalk—and it did not disappoint.”

That Lone Wild Hog sighting ended up being the only one of the night, but it made the entire evening worth it. Sometimes it just takes one encounter to turn a slow night into an unforgettable one.

At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt is different. Whether the action is non-stop or the fields stay quiet until the last hour, our guides work hard to deliver a Hunting Experience you won’t forget. Shoutout to Kaleb for staying sharp and keeping the group engaged—even when the Wild Pigs play hard to get.
