Thermal Hog Hunting Video

At Hog SWAT, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience for our hunters. Recently, our guide Jordan started editing some of our Thermal Hog Hunting Videos from past hunts. While the videos are great for our business, they also serve another important purpose — helping our guides get even better at what they do.

Just like football players watch film to study their performance, watching hunt footage allows our guides to see exactly what happened during a hunt from start to finish from the hunters eyes.

When you review video from a Night Hog Hunt in Georgia, you notice things you might not catch in the moment.

For example:

  • How quickly the hogs reacted

  • Remembering where a sounder entered the field

  • Chance placement on thermal from the hunters

  • How the guide positioned the group

Watching these moments on video helps guides analyze and improve hog future hunts.

Learning From Thermal Hog Hunting Footage

During a Thermal Hog Hunt, things happen fast.

Hogs can appear suddenly in a field, and once the chances starts the entire sounder can scatter in seconds. By reviewing thermal agm footage, guides can slow the moment down and study what happened. Improving future hunts for the next hunter that joins the hog swat team for a night.

Jordan editing this footage gives him the chance to:

  • Study hog behavior on thermal

  • Improve chance placement guidance

  • Learn how hunters react during high-adrenaline moments

  • Identify the best way to position hunters during a stalk

  • Understand what the hunter sees through their thermal gear

This kind of review helps make future hunts smoother, safer, and more successful.

Seeing the Hunt From the Hunter’s Perspective

Another big benefit of editing our Hog Hunting Videos is that it allows guides to see the Themral Hog Hunt from the hunter’s point of view.

Guides are often focused on:

  • Locating hogs

  • Managing the group

  • Making sure everyone is safe

  • Coordinating chances

But when they watch the footage later, they can see exactly what the hunter saw through their Thermal.

This helps guides better understand the customer experience during a Night Hog Hunt, which allows them to guide even better on the next hunting trip.

Why Video Is Such a Valuable Tool for Hog Hunting

The footage is also a powerful tool for improvement.

Just like athletes studying film, watching hunting footage helps guides:

  • Improve strategy

  • Understand hog movement patterns

  • Refine how they guide hunters in the field

  • Learn how hogs react to pressure

Over time, this leads to better hunts, more hogs, and an even better experience for our clients.

Experience Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia

At Hog SWAT, our guides are constantly working to improve and provide the best thermal hog hunting experience in Georgia.

Whether it’s learning hog behavior, studying thermal footage, or reviewing past hunts, we are always pushing ourselves to get better.

If you want to experience night hog hunting with thermal and see what the excitement is all about, we would love to have you join us.

You might even end up starring in one of our next hunt videos.

The Best Hog Hunting In Georgia is about more than just whats on the ground; it’s about passing down the skills of a true woodsman. Guide Jordan led a recent Thermal Hog Hunting trip where the mission was as much about education as it was about the harvest. Under a moon that was 'bright as all hell,' the team utilized pivots and natural backdrops to stay hidden while tracking a large sounder.

The tactical patience paid off with a successful double recovery. In a great display of the Wild Hog Hunting lifestyle, the clients and their sons took the lead on the butchering process, spending over an hour learning how to properly handle a harvest in the field. This hands-on experience is a hallmark of our Georgia Guided Hog Hunting—we love seeing the next generation get involved!

The action continued, where a 100-yard stalk led to another clean drop. However, the bright moonlight proved to be a challenging teacher later in the night. Despite a perfect downwind approach on a group of five, the team learned a valuable lesson in Night Hog Hunting camouflage when high-visibility clothing gave away their position. It was a classic teachable moment that ended a Great Success of a night. We’ve got the gear swapped out and the lessons learned, and we are ready for an even bigger Night 2 of Georgia Boar Hunting!

Beaver Hunting

If you are looking for the Best Georgia Hog Hunts, you have to be ready for the unexpected. Guide Jordan led a recent Nighttime Hog Hunting Trip that turned into a multi-species adventure. While scouting for our primary targets, the team encountered a massive beaver just feet from the van. In a quick display of precision Thermal Hunting, Jordan secured the target, proving that Hog Hunting always keeps you on your toes.

The night then shifted into a high-intensity Wild Hog Hunting pursuit. After a lone boar was spooked by local coyotes, the team utilized Thermal Hog Hunting tactics to track down two more hogs on another property. When one hog was injured and began a desperate crawl toward the timber, Jordan engaged in a full-out foot race to ensure a successful finish to the Guided Hog Hunting session.

This wasn't just your average Pig Hunt; it was a gritty display of why we offer the Best Hog Hunting in Georgia. Even on a slower night for the sounders, our commitment to the Wild Hog Hunts means we go the extra mile—or in this case, the extra sprint—to put meat on the ground. For those seeking the Best Hog Hunts that combine technology with raw effort, Hog SWAT remains the top choice for Wild Hog Hunting.

Boars or Boats?

We always tell our guests that Hog Hunting Georgia is an adventure, but guide Jordan took that a little too literally this week. Everyone knows Jordan isn't much of a boat guy, but apparently, he needed a reminder that our scouting vans don't exactly come with a hull and a propeller.

While out on a high-stakes Thermal Hog Hunting mission, Jordan found a patch of Georgia 'marsh' that was a little deeper than it looked. We’re not sure if he was trying to turn a Night Hog Hunting trip into a deep-sea expedition, but the van decided it was much happier being a submarine than a transport vehicle.

Luckily, the only thing that got hurt was Jordan’s pride (and maybe his boots). While he may not understand that vans don't float, he definitely knows how to find the pigs. We’ve told him that from now on, we’re keeping the Wild Boar Hunting on solid ground. If you’re looking for a guide who is willing to go to the depths—literally—to find your sounder, Jordan is your man. Just maybe bring some waterproof waders just in case!

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

Night two of this 2-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in Georgia started quietly, with limited hog movement early in the evening.

An initial Single Hog was located and stalked, but it continued moving without stopping to feed and eventually slipped into cover before a setup could be completed. Additional areas were checked as the group continued to cover ground in search of better opportunity.

Later in the night, a Sounder of Hogs was located in open ground. With conditions lining up, Hog SWAT guide Jordan positioned the remaining hunters for a controlled stalk. Once within range, shots connected, resulting in two hogs successfully recovered during the encounter.

After securing the recoveries and wrapping up the final opportunity of the hunt, the group chose to call it a night and head in.

While hog movement varied across both nights, night two delivered a solid sounder encounter and a strong finish to the hunt — a reminder that persistence often pays off during Guided Hog Hunts in Georgia farmland.

Hunting A Large Sounder

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

This 1-Night Guided Hog Hunt in Georgia delivered a textbook example of how wind, moonlight, and positioning come together in open farmland.

After covering multiple areas early with limited activity, Hog SWAT Guide Jordan located a Large Sounder of more than a dozen hogs grouped tightly under a pivot. With favorable wind and a bright moon providing excellent visibility, the decision was made to close distance and settle into a high-percentage setup just over 100 yards.

The first volley resulted in a confirmed hog recovery, with additional hogs pushing deeper toward the north side of the field. As the sounder began to break up and move off, disciplined chance selection continued until they reached the tree line.

While securing the initial recovery, a straggler hog broke from cover attempting to rejoin the group. A quick adjustment and confident execution resulted in a second confirmed recovery, closing out the most productive encounter of the night.

The remainder of the Hog Hunt was spent continuing to cover ground and assist other guides in the area, though no additional hog movement was located.

This Guided Hunt showcased exactly what Thermal Hog Hunting with Hog SWAT is about — reading conditions, working sounders in open fields, and executing clean opportunities when they present themselves.

Hog Hunting In Georgia

This 1-Night Guided Hog Hunt in South Georgia delivered nonstop activity and a strong finish.

The night began with extensive scouting across multiple areas, with frequent predator and hog movement observed throughout the evening. Several early encounters required quick decision-making as animals moved in and out of cover before setups could be completed.

Later in the night, a single hog was located in open ground, allowing the group to close distance and set up carefully. After an initial encounter where the hog moved off into cover, continued scanning paid off when another hog entered the field nearby. A controlled setup followed, resulting in the first successful recovery of the night.

As the Guided Hunt continued, additional hog movement was detected near field edges and tree lines. A final stalk on a sounderproduced further success, with multiple hogs successfully recovered before activity slowed.

By the end of the night, the group had logged steady movement, multiple stalks, and three confirmed recoveries, making it a productive and exciting one-night hunt. This night highlighted exactly why persistence and adaptability are key during Thermal Hog Hunting across Georgia farmland.

Nonstop Activity and Multiple Opportunities

South Ga Night Sky

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

Night one of this 2-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia was packed with activity from start to finish.

The evening began with extensive scouting across multiple areas, where movement was consistently being picked up throughout the night. Predator activity was observed early on, keeping the group engaged while continuing to cover ground and monitor surrounding fields.

As the night progressed, several opportunities developed across different locations. While some animals moved off before setups could be completed, continued scanning revealed significant hog activity, including multiple sounders detected moving through agricultural areas and along field edges.

Later in the night, a large sounder consisting of dozens of hogs was observed grouped together in an area outside of accessible ground. Although the group remained just out of reach, it confirmed strong overall movement in the area and reinforced the importance of staying mobile.

Despite cold conditions and technical challenges caused by the weather, the team adapted and continued pushing through the night. Additional hog encounters followed, including close-range sightings and multiple stalks through open ground and along tree lines.

While night one didn’t result in recoveries, it was far from slow. The level of activity, number of encounters, and constant movement made it clear that the area was holding Wild Hogs — setting the stage for a strong second night.

Night one wrapped up with momentum heading into the final night of the Hog Hunt.

Kids Hunting

Night two of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia wrapped up the trip with exciting action and great energy in the field.

Early in the night, a single hog was located during setup. Although it moved off quickly, patience and persistence paid off, and the Wild Hog was successfully recovered after careful tracking.

Later on, additional sounders were located across nearby farmland. One group moved out before a setup could be completed, but continued scouting led to another sounder entering the area. With good positioning and teamwork, the group was able to make the most of the opportunity, resulting in five successful recoveries.

What made this night especially memorable was the shared experience. Hog SWAT loves seeing families and kids involved in Hog Hunting, learning the process, and being part of an exciting night in the field. These Hog Hunts aren’t just about results — they’re about creating positive memories and introducing the next generation to responsible Nighttime Hog Control.

Night two closed out the Wild Hog Hunt on a high note, finishing the Hunting Trip strong.

Night Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hunting Hogs At Night @HogSWAT

The second night of this 2-Night Hog Hunt showed just how unpredictable Wild Hogs can be. The Hog Hunters started the evening sitting over a field, where plenty of deer and critters kept the night lively.

Around 2:30 a.m., two Hogs finally appeared. The deer in the field ended up spooking them and pushing them farther away, but the hunters stayed patient and made a move. They set up for a chance a little farther than normal and made contact with both pigs, but the hogs managed to slip into cover before they could be recovered.

Even without hogs to show, it was still a Thermal Hog Hunt full of action, close calls, and long hours under Thermal. That’s the reality of South Georgia Hog Hunting—sometimes the win comes in the chase itself.

Every night in the field adds to the experience, and with Feral Hogs, no two Guided Hog Hunts are ever the same.

The first night started strong with one Hog Down early on. The Hunters got a second chance, but it made a break for the woods. Just when they thought the night was over, another Pig popped up in the field on the way back to the van. Success agian. We’ll call that a win-win.

Night 2:

The second night started with a bit of luck. While driving past a field, Hank Spotted Pigs right by the road. Wasting no time, they turned around, pulled in, and set up behind the van for cover. Just as they were getting ready, a couple of passing vehicles lit them up with headlights - an unexpected obstacle, but the Wild Pigs didn’t bolt. The Hog Hunters had success two more Wild Hogs before the Sounder scattered.

Hog SWAT recently hosted an exhilarating 2 Night Hog Hunting adventure that brought out the best in camaraderie and skill under the South Georgia stars. Led by our seasoned Guide Zev, a group of passionate Hunters came prepared for action—their mission: to track and bring home some Wild Pork.

From the moment the group arrived, it was evident that these were no ordinary Hunters. With a spirit of determination and a shared love for The Thrill Of The Hunt, the camaraderie among the Amish lads set the stage for an Unforgettable Hunting Experience. Their laughter echoed in the cool night air, as Zev tossed around his favorite (and sometimes questionable) jokes that only seemed to fuel their enthusiasm even further.

The hunt kicked off on the first night, where conditions were far from forgiving. The team braved the elements, covering ground and staying vigilant until the early hours of the morning. Patience and perseverance paid off when, after a long pursuit, they finally encountered a Group of Wild Pigs. In a burst of energy and adrenaline, they successfully took down their prize, celebrating in triumph before packing it in for the night.

The second night proved to be a different story, as the Hog Hunters capitalized on their experience and knowledge gained from the previous evening. Not long after settling in, Zev and the crew spotted a Lone Hog. With precision and teamwork, they quickly securing it. But the night was still young!

Fueled by the thrill of the chase, they set out again, roaming the rugged terrain until the early hours. Their determination delivered results yet again when they encountered another herd, ultimately adding a second Wild Hog to their impressive tally. The night rolled on until 4 a.m., filled with laughter, bonds forged in the field, and the satisfaction of a Successful Hunt.

At Hog SWAT, we celebrate every aspect of Wild Hog Hunting—the thrill of the chase, the bonds formed, and the stories shared in the Hunting Van. Hunting Wild Hogs In The Dark

Unforgettable Hunts at Hog SWAT:

A Pre-Christmas Adventure with Guide Hank

As the holiday season approached, Guide Hank was hard at work leading a series of Successful Hog Hunts at Hog SWAT. With the excitement of Thermal Hog Hunting in the air, three separate outings delivered impressive results for the Hunters, showcasing the thrill of the chase and the sheer beauty of Hunting in the Wild.

First Hunt:

An Unexpected Bounty

In the first outing, the night unfolded with remarkable success. Gear up for some impressive tactics as the group unexpectedly balled out, bringing down four Pigs. As they navigated through the fields, they encountered several Sounders, though circumstances prevented free-fire shooting. Despite the obstacles, which included pivots and overgrown ditches, the Hog Hunters walked away with four Wild Hogs and plenty of stories to tell.

Check out the highlights from this hunt with the photos below:

Second Hunt:

The Chase

The second Hog Hunt brought its own set of challenges and rewards. The team embarked on a whirlwind chase after Wild Pigs moving erratically through a field, navigating east and west in an effort to cut them off. Their persistence paid off when they eventually secured their first Hog. The next field offered a picturesque scene under the bright moonlight, where two Wild Hogs rested in a ditch. Utilizing the terrain, the Pig Hunters moved around the hill, patiently waiting until the Pigs were just 70 yards away. With precise shots, they successfully took down both Piggies, ending the night on a high note.

Here are some snapshots from this exciting chase:

Third Hunt:

A Night Cap

The final Wild Hog Hunt of the trip proved to be equally thrilling. Guide Hank spotted a Small Group of Pigs and maneuvered to get within shooting range, successfully taking down two. As a fitting conclusion to the night, in the very last field, a Lone Pig was spotted. It was a tense moment with the moonlight illuminating the scene as Hank made his shot from 100 yards. However, this resourceful Hog had other plans and dashed into the woods, taking a couple of bullets along for the ride. Though it escaped, the excitement of the pursuit made for another great success.

Hog SWAT's Night Out with Guide Max

Photo: Big Boy @HogSWAT

This last night, Hog SWAT had the pleasure of hosting a 1 Night Hog Hunt guided by Capt. Max. This group traveled to the heart of South Georgia to experience the thrill of Thermal Hunting for Wild Hogs. Armed with anticipation and eagerly looking forward to a night under the stars, they set out for an adventure!

A Slow Night on the Hunt

While the excitement was palpable, they quickly learned that Mother Nature had other plans. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a super slow Hog Hunting night, leaving this group with a mix of patience and determination. The Pigs seemed to have taken the night off, as sightings were sparse, and the typical chaos of a lively Sounder was notably absent.

But as any Seasoned Hunter knows, it's not always about the catch; sometimes, it’s about the experience. And this group was nothing short of fantastic. With fathers, uncles, and sons sharing in the Hog Hunt, the camaraderie and laughter echoed through the evening. Even in the quiet moments, the bonds formed and stories shared created memories that will last far longer than any Hunt.

A Successful Drop

Despite the slow action, we are thrilled to share that our group managed to drop a stunning Wild Boar (check out the impressive photo in this post!). The excitement was electric as they guided their shot with laser focus, demonstrating just how dialed-in they were. This was a testament to their skill as Hog Hunters, despite the limited opportunities throughout the night.

Looking Ahead

While we would have loved to have seen a full Sounder of Hogs come through, there's always a next time! We sincerely hope this enthusiastic group returns when the Wild Pigs are moving. Imagine the thrill of a night filled with action, surrounded by family and friends, as the sounds of a bustling Sounder echoes across the fields. We would be more than excited to be a part of their next Hunting Trip, capturing the excitement and bringing home more memories (and perhaps more hogs)!

In Conclusion

At Hog SWAT, we understand that Hunting is more than just the hunt; it’s about time spent with family, building skills, and enjoying The Great Outdoors. While last night may have been slow, it was filled with laughter, learning, and an unbreakable spirit. Thank you to this group for a wonderful evening, and we eagerly await your return for more Hunting Adventures in the future!

Stay tuned for more Hunting Stories, tips, and updates from Hog SWAT. And remember: when the hogs are moving, you want to be right there in the action with us!

Until next time, happy hunting!

Night 2: Stalking Success

As night fell for the second time, Jason and Trenton were eager to finish their Wild Hog Hunt on a high note. Hank had spotted a Big Boar and was confident they'd add to their impressive tally. However, as they stalked toward the Wild Boar, an unexpected Deer blew, scaring off their primary target and leading them on a chase.

But luck was on their side. Just as they thought the night was going to be a bust, another Wild Pig appeared in the field. With Hank's guidance, they quickly adapted their strategy and sneaked up on it. A well-placed shot later, and they had successfully added one more Hog to their collection!

Photo: Another Hog Down @HogSWAT

Conclusion: Memorable Memories

While every Hunting Trip offers its share of surprises, it’s the friends we make and the experiences we share that make each outing truly special. Jason and Trenton left Hog SWAT with not just a bounty of hogs, but also a wealth of memories and a few new Hunting tales to tell.

Guide Hank led a group of eager Hunters on a 1 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. With a father and his two sons in tow, the Hunt promised to be an exciting adventure in the wilderness.

As the night unfolded, Guide Hank found himself doing a lot of walking, scouting the field for any signs of Wild Hogs. To his delight, the Pigs walked out in front of him, presenting the perfect opportunity for a successful Hog Hunt. Guide Luke had to think on his feet and sneak around the Swine to make his way back to the Hunting Van, where he prepared the Hunters for their mission.

With the Hunters ready and armed, Luke led them back out into the field and successfully took down a Pig. The group decided to call it a night after that, opting to rest up for their drive home in the morning. It was a night of great success for Guide Luke and his team, as they bonded over their shared love for hunting and the thrill of the chase.
