The Sounder Success

The night kicked off with scouts at a few fields before the team moved to the next field. Using our Thermal, Guide Jordan spotted a large sounder in the center of the field. The team began a precise Spot And Stalk, closing the distance to about 100 yards.

As the team moved in, the Wild Hogs gathered in a defensive cluster. The group engaged the sounder, and through steady coordination, they successfully secured a harvest. After the excitement of the engagement, the team handled the field prep and began moving to the next location.

Teamwork and Terrain in Americus, Georgia

The "South Georgia Mud" is a real factor in Nighttime Hog Hunting. While moving between fields, the lead van found a soft spot in the road. Despite a valiant effort with the recovery tracks, the mud held firm. This is where the Hog SWAT team shines—Guide Noah quickly arrived to assist. We prioritized the guests' experience, transferred the gear, and continued the Guided Hog Hunting adventure without missing a beat.

The rest of the night was spent tracking a single boar on the another property. Between a coyote and the rolling "low spots" of the terrain, the Wild Boar proved elusive. We tracked it using a pivot for a higher vantage point, but the pig eventually vanished into the woodline just as the sun began to peek over the horizon. It was a long, hard-fought night that showed exactly what it takes to provide Unlimited Hog Hunting opportunities.
