Thrilling Night of Thermal Hog Hunting with Hog SWAT

If you’re looking for an Adrenaline-Filled Hunting in South Georgia, Hog SWAT has you covered! Last night, our expert Guide Hank led a group of Hunters into the field for an Unforgettable Hunting Experience in Thermal Hog Hunting. With a mix of challenge, teamwork, and a few unexpected moments, it was a night that certainly delivered on the excitement.

Hank described the crew as one of the easiest-going groups he’s encountered this season, which set the tone for an enjoyable outing. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the Thermal Equipment lit up the night, giving us a unique glimpse into the hidden world of Feral Hogs.

The Hunt Begins

Things kicked off with a sighting of a Wild Hog that just wouldn't sit still. In the heat of the moment, we jumped out of the van, no tripods — the excitement that comes with Thermal Hunting! As we approached the target, it spooked and bolted. Hank reported them touching the Pig two or three times, but it expectedly took off, moving at a leisurely yet determined pace almost 300 yards away.

The Chase is On

Hank assessed the situation. The Wild Pig was edging dangerously close to a pivot area, which would cut off our chance to get another chance. Time was of the essence, and in a split-second decision, Hank ensured everyone safely got into a position where he could to chase it down. Running 400 yards, he leapt a ditch, fueled by the desire to ensure the Wild Hog Hunt didn’t escape us.

Exhausted yet focused, Hank closed the distance, only to find that the pig had tapped into its last reserves of energy. In a final push, he sprinted towards it, as he got within 50 yards of the brush where the Wild Hog was heading. The climax of the run culminated in a decisive moment as Hank got the Hog, marking a hard-fought success.

A Bit More Excitement

But the fun didn’t end there! On the way off the field, success followed us as we managed to find two Rabbits. It appears that the night held more surprises for us than just the Hog Hunt.

While we didn’t spot any additional game after that, the thrill of the chase and the bond created among the Hog Hunters made it a night to remember.

The first night of the Hog Hunt was nothing short of fun. Zev and the team hit the ground running, and after an evening of walking and stalking, they successfully got 2 Pigs. The thrill of the chase was palpable, and the Hog Hunters were energized by their success.

Night 2:

The One That Got Away

With high hopes and adrenaline still pumping from the previous evening, the team set out for night two with renewed determination. They spotted a Pig, and as they prepared for the shot, it became a test of patience and precision. Unfortunately, the stubborn Wild Hog decided to make a swift exit.

While Zev and the team did manage to try a Wild Pig, the excitement of the Wild Hog Hunt was tempered by the fact that the Pig didn’t do what we wanted. As a result, there were no photos to commemorate this part of their journey, but that’s the nature of Thermal Hunting—sometimes, the best stories are those that are left untold.

Reflections on the Experience

Zev summarized the Hog Hunting Trip perfectly: it’s about the Thrill of the Hunt, the unpredictability of the wild, and the Hunting Experiences shared among fellow Hunters. With Guide Zev leading the charge on the first night and Guide Hank taking the helm on the second, our Hunters embarked on an Unpredictable Hunting adventure filled with challenges, excitement, and ultimately, success.

Night One:

The Calm Before the Hunt

The first night started with high hopes, as our Hog Hunters anticipated spots filled with Wild Hogs. However, despite their enthusiasm and readiness, it just wasn’t the night for success. Under Guide Zev's expertise, the team didn’t encounter any, but the Pigs proved elusive, leaving the group without any Harvested Game.

While it can be disappointing to leave a Hog Hunt without any Wild Pigs down, every adventure in the field offers invaluable lessons and build camaraderie. That is the name of the game when it comes to Wild Hog Hunting. Hunting these animals in the wild is unpredictable so some nights you might see 100 sometimes it’s none.

Night Two:

A Perfect Setup for Success!

As the sun set, it was Guide Hank’s turn to lead the Hunting Expedition. What an adventure it turned out to be! Just as they arrived in the field, some Wild Pigs were spotted right next to the van. Without skipping a beat, Hank made a snap decision to pursue the Hogs freehand, knowing that setting up the sticks would only send them fleeing.

“The urgency of the moment allowed us to stay in the game,” Hank later explained. With quick reflexes, the Hog Hunters landed them, but they unfortunately didn’t manage to get any photos…

After spending three solid hours searching for a solid target, they finally spotted a Lone Hog—one so starved that it seemed oblivious to the hunters' presence. Patience and stealth paid off, and the group was able to secure it, marking a successful conclusion to the night.

A Challenging Start

Recently, Guide Hank led a group of four enthusiastic Hunters on an adventurous Hog Hunt. While the night started with promising excitement, it wasn't without its challenges. As Hank noted, some Pigs scattered early on, temporarily dampening the mood. However, the team remained determined to make the most of the night.

Patience and Expertise

Around midnight, the group managed to locate a sizeable Sounder of Hogs. Demonstrating his experience and patience, Guide Hank took his time allowing the Wild Hogs to settle before taking a stealthy approach. Making sure he didn’t get winded. However, when he got to the Pigs there was only one, the sounder moved to a location that would be a 1,000 yard walk. So they set up and made there move. After that the Sounder of Pigs’ unpredictable moved again, they ended up 100 yards further away, causing a shift in strategy.

Turning the Tables

Faced with Wild Pigs that had split from the group and fled across an impassable ditch, Hank's team decided to adapt their tactics. Instead of pursuing them down difficult terrain, they chose to take aim from a distance. This calculated decision paid off, leading to the successful of taking down at least a couple Hogs that night, chipping away at the Local Wild Hog Population. They couldn’t go get them due to the location on the Hogs.

At Hog SWAT, every Hunting Trip is an adventure waiting to unfold, and our recent night Hog Hunt led by Guide Hank was no exception. With three eager Hunters set for a Hunting Experience, the night promised excitement amid the unpredictability of the wild.

The Night's Journey

As Hank described it, the weather initially posed a challenge. "The weather started out crappy," he noted, referencing the less-than-ideal conditions that often accompany Late-Night Hunts. The moisture in the air made Thermal Imaging less effective, adding a layer of complexity to the evening's endeavors. Yet, our dedicated team remained optimistic, and as the weather cleared up, things began to turn around.

A Successful Stalk

The turning point of the night came around 2 a.m. After a lengthy wait, the Hog Hunters finally spotted their quarry! Thanks to the clearing skies, they were able to Stalk The Wild Hogs effectively. In a thrilling twist of fate, the Pigs walked right across their path, providing the perfect opportunity for action.

With precise and skilled strategy, the team was able to take get 2 Hogs by the end of the night. But the excitement didn't stop there.

A Surprise Encounter

In addition to the Hogs, the now Bobcat Hunters also encountered a bobcat during their night out. Hank shared, "Got a bobcat and 2 hogs," highlighting the thrill of unexpected game on a successful Wild Hog Hunt. Whether Stalking Hogs or encountering wildlife like bobcats, the night was filled with a mix of adrenaline and accomplishment.

A Night of Unexpected Success

On a recent 2 Night Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, Guide Hank found himself leading Chris, a determined Hunting customer eager to bag some Wild Boar. As night one unfolded, the duo experienced the typical unpredictable nature of Wild Hog Hunting. Despite their best efforts, the first night concluded without a sight of any Hogs, and disappointment settled in as they returned to the Hunting Van around 3:30 AM.

Frustration bubbling under the surface, Chris jokingly lamented that if they didn’t spot anything on the next field, he might as well head home to catch up on sleep. Hank chuckled at Chris's comment, knowing the game could turn at any moment. Just as they were about to call it a night, Hank spotted movement in the shadows of the next field with his Thermal.

With a renewed sense of purpose, Hank led Chris to the field, eyes scanning the terrain until they finally locked onto a sizable Sounder of Hogs. Utilizing his keen hunting skills,, successfully getting four Wild Pigs in a thrilling flurry of activity. Both guide and customer couldn't help but feel the excitement and satisfaction as they cleaned up their impressive haul for the night.

Reflecting on the unexpected twist of fate, Hank felt proud of the Hog Hunt's outcome. What started as a quiet evening turned into a testament to patience and skill, reminding both the guide and Chris of the exhilarating unpredictability inherent in Thermal Hunting.

With the success of night one tucked away, anticipation bubbled for night two of their Hunting Adventure. Would they continue their streak, or would the Elusive Hogs be just out of reach once again? Only time would tell.

Night 2 of the Hog Hunt:

A Memorable Conclusion

As the second night of their 2 Night Wild Hog Hunt unfolded, the anticipation was palpable among the group. They faced a significant challenge: a Growing Population of Wild Pigs causing chaos in the area. Undeterred by previous setbacks, the Hog Hunters were determined to find success before the evening came to a close.

After a long trek and a valiant attempt at a stalk that didn’t quite pan out, the team found themselves navigating back to their Hog Van. Just as they began to pack up, fortune smiled upon them. To their astonishment, a Group of Hogs sauntered across the field, right behind the van, while their guide, Hank, was in the process of putting up the equipment.

With a flicker of hope igniting their spirits, the Hog Hunters quickly regrouped and seized the opportunity. Their persistence paid off, resulting in the successful harvest of a fine Wild Hog by the end of the night.

The collective sigh of relief and jubilation spoke volumes; it was more than just a Wild Hog Hunt—it was an adventure filled with camaraderie, excitement, and triumph. This final night showcased the tenacity and skill of the team, proving that even when faced with challenges, success is always within reach.

A Night of Thrills and Unexpected Encounters

Last night was nothing short of exhilarating as Guide Hank took a Solo Hunter into the South Georgia Fields for an unforgettable night of Hog Hunting In Georgia. With the moon shining bright and adrenaline running high, the duo set out for a Hunting Adventure that they wouldn't soon forget.

The evening kicked off with a strategic stalk along the treeline, each step a careful dance of patience and focus. It wasn’t long before they spotted their target: a robust Wild Boar. With a steady hand and keen eye, the Hog Hunter took the first moment, but the Boar—fueled by instinct and perhaps a touch of stubbornness—charged straight toward them.

At a heart-pounding distance of about 40 yards, the tension was palpable. Hank quickly guided the Boar Hunter, and with a second moment, the Wild Boar was successfully stopped, peacefully putting him up. It was a great success for the night, showcasing both skill and collaboration in the field.

But the adventures didn’t end there! As they made their way back, the night took another unexpected turn. They stumbled upon a couple of Runaway Cows that had somehow strayed from their herd. While the Cows were not part of the night’s Hunting Plans, they added a delightful twist to the evening.

The Wild Chronicles of a Three-Night Hunt

In The World of Hunting, camaraderie and the thrill of the chase can lead to Unforgettable Hunting Stories. This was certainly true for a trio of adventurers on a recent 3 Night Hog Hunt, where one participant, Tim, turned what could have been a standard outing into a memorable experience.

From the get-go, Tim’s enthusiasm was infectious. Described as a non-stop talker, he filled the night air with stories and excitement, making it quite the entertaining Hunting Adventure. The first night brought its own set of challenges, culminating in what some might call a "burning" experience—though not literally!

On the second night, the excitement ramped up when the Hunters drove upon a sprawling field teeming with a Sounder of 30 Wild Pigs. Tim, barely able to contain his excitement, quickly found himself in an unexpected predicament. Just as they were preparing to stalk the herd, in a whirlwind of excitement, they had to stop the stalk little pit stop.

After the unexpected pitstop, the Hog Hunt pressed on. Remarkably, the Wild Hogs remained unfazed and still within reach. After some quick cleanup, the team went on to Harvest 4 Pigs that night. Let me say that agian.. 1 guy 30 pigs. He got 4!! That is good!!!

However, as adventures go, the final night proved to be a slower affair. Only one Hog made its appearance, and in the chaos of the moment, Tim managed to tryonly for it to escape into the trees.

Though The Thrill of the Hunt came to an end, the stories shared and the laughter had made it clear that this 3 Night Hog Hunting Trip was one for the books. Tim’s antics, combined with Guide Zev’s amazing ablity to led, ensured that this Thermal Hog Hunt would be remembered fondly for years to come.

As they packed up and headed home, one thing was certain: even with its ups and downs, Hunting with Friends brings joy, laughter, and a few surprises—proving that it’s not just about the Wild Hog Hunt, but the stories you bring back with you. Hog SWAT recently hosted an exhilarating 2 Night Hog Hunting adventure that brought out the best in camaraderie and skill under the South Georgia stars. Led by our seasoned Guide Zev, a group of passionate Hunters came prepared for action—their mission: to track and bring home some Wild Pork.

From the moment the group arrived, it was evident that these were no ordinary Hunters. With a spirit of determination and a shared love for The Thrill Of The Hunt, the camaraderie among the Amish lads set the stage for an Unforgettable Hunting Experience. Their laughter echoed in the cool night air, as Zev tossed around his favorite (and sometimes questionable) jokes that only seemed to fuel their enthusiasm even further.

The hunt kicked off on the first night, where conditions were far from forgiving. The team braved the elements, covering ground and staying vigilant until the early hours of the morning. Patience and perseverance paid off when, after a long pursuit, they finally encountered a Group of Wild Pigs. In a burst of energy and adrenaline, they successfully took down their prize, celebrating in triumph before packing it in for the night.

The second night proved to be a different story, as the Hog Hunters capitalized on their experience and knowledge gained from the previous evening. Not long after settling in, Zev and the crew spotted a Lone Hog. With precision and teamwork, they quickly securing it. But the night was still young!

Fueled by the thrill of the chase, they set out again, roaming the rugged terrain until the early hours. Their determination delivered results yet again when they encountered another herd, ultimately adding a second Wild Hog to their impressive tally. The night rolled on until 4 a.m., filled with laughter, bonds forged in the field, and the satisfaction of a Successful Hunt.

The Craziest Hunting Story!

The Epic Three-Night Adventure with Guide Hank

If there’s one thing we love at Hog SWAT, it’s giving our guests a Memorable Hunting Experience. This past week, we had the pleasure of welcoming back a crew that had once faced the Ultimate Hunting Challenge: a 2 Night Hog Hunt that resulted in a rare blank. But we believe in second chances, and when they decided to pay for an extra night to redeem themselves, we knew it would be an adventure to remember!

Night 1: A Rainy Start with a Tornado Watch

With high hopes and eager spirits, our team assembled for the first night of Hunting. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. As rain fell steadily and fog rolled in, visibility became a significant challenge. To top it off, a tornado watch warning came through just as they spotted some pigs on the radio, sending shivers down everyone’s spine!

The Hunters bravely exited the van, ready to embark on their first stalk. However, nature unleashed some chaotic winds that shifted in every direction, sending the cautious Pigs into a hasty retreat. After an initial attempt that left them drenched and unsuccessful, Guide Hank searched for drier territory.

He managed to find a surprisingly dry field—a rare gem considering the conditions. However, with a tricky Wild Hog location, the hunters faced another tough challenge. They geared up once again, determined not to let the elements deter them. But as they navigated through thick brush, which was waist-high, they quickly learned that sometimes the Thermal Hunt doesn’t go as planned. When they reached the Wild Pigs’ last known location, they discovered the animals had vanished.

After climbing onto an irrigation pivot to survey their surroundings, another wave of rain struck as fast and fierce as a hurricane, making it nearly impossible to see through the Thermal Equipment. Realizing the severity of the situation, Guide Hank made the tough call to return to the hotel for the night. As he reassured the group, “If you ever come back to hunt with us again, I understand if you want a new guide—I might be your bad luck charm!”

Night 2: The Curse is Lifted!

The second night began with several comical moments, including Guide Hank wiping down the soaked van seats in preparation for the night’s adventure. But no matter how hard he tried, one particularly soggy seat hinted at the ordeal that lay ahead. Determined to overcome the previous night’s challenges, the group climbed into the van, still hoping for a lucky break.

As they set out into the night, the spirits remained high. The curse of the first night was finally lifted! Despite the odds, they succeeded in getting two Massive Boars. The laughter, camaraderie, and successful made for a vastly different experience from the night before. With great success under their belts, they were primed and ready for the final night of Guided Hog Hunting.

Night 3: The Grand Finale

The third night proved to be the cherry on top of their thrilling adventure. With adrenaline running high and the lessons learned from the first two nights, the Hog Hunters were eager to make their final moments count. They ventured out with a newfound determination and a plan of action.

As they stalked through the terrain, they pinpointed a Wild Pig hiding just behind a steep hill. With expert stealth, they crawled to within 20 yards, leading to a nail-biting stare-down. As the tension mounted and the Hunters steadied their eyes, they took the moment just as the hog reacted to their presence, managing to land a successful strike while the boar bolted away.

The Experience of a Lifetime

As the 3 Night Hog Hunt came to a close, it’s safe to say this crew knew how to turn challenges into triumphs. What started as a tense and difficult hunt transformed into an unforgettable experience full of laughter, camaraderie, and, most importantly, successful kills.

No Limit Hunts

The first night began with high hopes as the team set out for some action-packed stalking. The conditions, however, were challenging, with shifting winds and a few near-misses. A Sounder was spotted at Dream Farm, but shifting winds gave the Hogs the upper hand. Later at Ben’s, the Hog Hunter managed a few shots, hitting at least one pig before the group scattered.

The night’s unexpected highlight came while driving to a new location. A Wild Hog appeared right in front of the van, providing a quick and unexpected opportunity. Hank swiftly set up the Hunter, and while the hog was hit, it ultimately evaded capture. Despite the challenges, spirits remained high, knowing the second night promised a fresh chance to succeed.

Night 2: Success Through Strategy

The second night brought renewed energy, and this time, persistence paid off. The first Wild Hog Stalk of the evening was disrupted by deer that spooked nearby Piggies. On the second stalk, the team spotted a Wild Pig from the van but initially had trouble locating it after taking a long route to approach undetected.

Just as they were preparing to call it a night, the Pig reappeared, offering the perfect opportunity. Hank and the hunter carefully waited for the right moment, ensuring the shot was well-executed. This time, the result was a successful harvest and smiles all around—a testament to patience and determination paying off.

After an exhilarating couple of nights in the field, we’re excited to share Hank's latest Wild Hog Hunting experience with our loyal Hog SWAT community. Here’s a look at what went down during his Night Hunts!

Night 1: The Stalk Begins

The first night proved to be an interesting one, with no pig pictures to showcase. The team encountered their fair share of challenges, facing one failed go-round and an unsuccessful stalk. While attempting to approach a Sounder of Pigs, the hunters brought along Night Vision Binoculars, but things took a humorous turn. He accidentally lit himself up like a Christmas tree, catching the attention of every Hog in the vicinity.

Despite having favorable wind conditions, Hank observed all the Wild Pigs making a hasty retreat from the field. Perplexed by their sudden movement, he turned around only to discover the source of the disturbance—a literal “human disco ball” shining brightly in the darkness. But the team’s spirits remained high, as Hank confidently reassured everyone that they would have another chance to track down the Elusive Hogs tomorrow night.

Night 2: Perseverance Pays Off

Their persistence paid off when they finally zeroed in on a single Wild Boar. After careful planning and execution, they were able to secure the sweet victory they had been hoping for, making all the earlier setbacks worthwhile.

Conclusion

Hog SWAT's Night Out with Guide Max

This last night, Hog SWAT had the pleasure of hosting a 1 Night Hog Hunt guided by Capt. Max. This group traveled to the heart of South Georgia to experience the thrill of Thermal Hunting for Wild Hogs. Armed with anticipation and eagerly looking forward to a night under the stars, they set out for an adventure!

A Slow Night on the Hunt

While the excitement was palpable, they quickly learned that Mother Nature had other plans. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a super slow Hog Hunting night, leaving this group with a mix of patience and determination. The Pigs seemed to have taken the night off, as sightings were sparse, and the typical chaos of a lively Sounder was notably absent.

But as any Seasoned Hunter knows, it's not always about the catch; sometimes, it’s about the experience. And this group was nothing short of fantastic. With fathers, uncles, and sons sharing in the Hog Hunt, the camaraderie and laughter echoed through the evening. Even in the quiet moments, the bonds formed and stories shared created memories that will last far longer than any Hunt.

A Successful Drop

Despite the slow action, we are thrilled to share that our group managed to drop a stunning Wild Boar (check out the impressive photo in this post!). The excitement was electric as they guided their shot with laser focus, demonstrating just how dialed-in they were. This was a testament to their skill as Hog Hunters, despite the limited opportunities throughout the night.

Looking Ahead

While we would have loved to have seen a full Sounder of Hogs come through, there's always a next time! We sincerely hope this enthusiastic group returns when the Wild Pigs are moving. Imagine the thrill of a night filled with action, surrounded by family and friends, as the sounds of a bustling Sounder echoes across the fields. We would be more than excited to be a part of their next Hunting Trip, capturing the excitement and bringing home more memories (and perhaps more hogs)!

A Night to Remember: Our Thermal Hog Hunt Adventure at Hog SWAT

Last night, the team at Hog SWAT had the pleasure of hosting a thrilling Thermal Hog Hunt, a special event organized for a corporate group looking to show appreciation for their hardworking team. With ten enthusiastic Hunters split between our guides Clayton and Maximus, excitement was palpable as the sun dipped below the horizon and darkness enveloped the landscape.

Guide Clayton’s Journey

The thrill of the hunt began for Guide Clayton on a slightly challenging note. Unfortunately, his Thermal Mount decided to play hard to get, refusing to connect to the tablet. But instead of letting this setback dampen the spirit of the Hunt, Clayton embraced the challenge. He led the group through the night’s darkness on foot, eyes peeled for signs of Elusive Hogs.

Almost immediately, fortune smiled upon them as they spotted a Solitary Pig right off the bat. With the night quiet, the group managed to take the Wild Hog down. Guide Clayton loves his job and the customers he meets. There is nothing better than to Thermal Hunt with customers that share the same passion.

But perseverance is key in Hunting Wild Hogs, and after a second encounter that yielded yet another elusive Solo Hog, the group faced a situation of missed opportunities. Despite the frustration, spirits remained high, and the laughter shared over the unexpected misses kept the atmosphere light.

As the night progressed, it felt as if they were destined for a memorable finish. Just when hope was beginning to wane, Guide Clayton spotted another Single Hog. This time, fortune favored them; after a steady aim, they managed to drop it, ending the night on a high note and with a sense of achievement.

Guide Maximus’s Success

On the other side of the property, Guide Max’s group had a good night of Hog Hunting as well. They kicked off the night with a promising single sighting that ramped up excitement. The Wild Hog was quick to go down, Max and his team had there first sucess of the night.

As the night unfolded, they encountered a small group of 3 Hogs. Unfortunately, the swift movements of the animals led them into the safety of the woods, evading the Hog Hunters. Nonetheless, the encounters kept spirits high within the group, showcasing the thrill of the Hog Hunt and the camaraderie fostered throughout the evening.

Conclusion: A Successful Corporate Adventure

By the end of the night, both groups found themselves filled with stories to share and memories to cherish. While Thermal Hog Hunting can sometimes come with its challenges, it is precisely these moments that create bonds among teammates. We genuinely hope this trip provided a fun and unique experience for the corporate group, and it certainly left a lasting impression on us at Hog SWAT.

An Unforgettable Two-Night Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT

Recently, our seasoned guide, Hank, had the pleasure of leading one of our repeat customers, Jason, and his buddy Trenton, on a Two-Night Hog Hunting excursion. Night 1: A Successful Start

As the sun dipped below the horizon on their first night, Hank positioned Jason and Trenton in a prime area known for its Hog Activity. Their patience paid off, and before long, the duo bagged a total of four Wild Hogs! It’s a testament to their skills as Top-Notch Shooters that they not only made accurate shots but also had the know-how to Field Dress their own Hogs.

Night 2: Stalking Success

As night fell for the second time, Jason and Trenton were eager to finish their Wild Hog Hunt on a high note. Hank had spotted a Big Boar and was confident they'd add to their impressive tally. However, as they stalked toward the Wild Boar, an unexpected Deer blew, scaring off their primary target and leading them on a chase.

But luck was on their side. Just as they thought the night was going to be a bust, another Wild Pig appeared in the field. With Hank's guidance, they quickly adapted their strategy and sneaked up on it. A well-placed shot later, and they had successfully added one more Hog to their collection!

Conclusion: Memorable Memories

While every Hunting Trip offers its share of surprises, it’s the friends we make and the experiences we share that make each outing truly special. Jason and Trenton left Hog SWAT with not just a bounty of hogs, but also a wealth of memories and a few new Hunting tales to tell.

This past weekend, Hog SWAT welcomed a lively group of 14 eager Hunters to South Georgia for an unforgettable Thermal Hog Hunting experience. With our commitment to providing personalized and Guided Hunts, we split the group into three smaller teams, each led by one of our expert guides: Hank, Clayton, and Kevin. Here’s a recap of each group’s thrilling night!

Guide Hank’s Group: A Night of Action and Success

Guide Hank had an exceptional night with his group, showcasing his skills and strategy in the field. After a slow start, the team encountered a Sounder of Hogs, which gave them a prime opportunity. With stealth, they approached within 70 yards, and with precision shots, they managed to drop six Wild Pigs in a matter of minutes!

Despite a failed group stalk earlier in the evening due to a chorus of yapping Coyotes that sent the Wild Hogs Running, Hank’s persistence paid off. The excitement and adrenaline during the Hog Hunt created an electric atmosphere, leaving Hunters thrilled with their success. A night filled with laughter, teamwork, and commendable shooting skills made for an unforgettable experience with plenty of stories to share.

While Guide Clayton and his group of five didn’t manage to take down any Hogs during their Hunt, their spirit and enthusiasm never wavered. A Night of Thrills with Retired State Troopers

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an orange glow across the Georgia Fields, our Hog SWAT Hunt was gearing up for an Unforgettable Hunting Adventure. This year, we welcomed a unique crew: three retired state troopers—Steve, J, and John. Little did they know, their evening was going to be filled with both excitement and a few unexpected laughs.

Night One: The Hunt Begins

The night kicked off with a brief chat among the Hunters and our lead guide, Clayton. He couldn’t help but share some quirky thoughts inspired by his guilty pleasure: “I watch a lot of cops, the TV show. I also watch a lot of Live PD. In one episode of COPS, the guy that they were arresting wasn’t all there mentally, and when they handcuffed him, he told the officers that his safe word was 'cinnamon.' Don’t do drugs.” This humorous remark set the tone for the night – a mix of seriousness and amusement that was sure to define our Hog Hunt.

As we ventured into the fields, our team quickly spotted a group of about eight Wild Hogs. The tension escalated as the Hunters got into position. With a well-placed shot, one Hog fell to the ground, but the others scattered, some wounded but ultimately escaping. It was a tough break, but as seasoned veterans of the law, our hunters took it all in stride. Clayton chimed in again with a movie reference, “Have you ever seen the movie *Super Troopers*? If not, you should go watch it right meow.” His playful banter was infectious, embedding a sense of camaraderie amongst the team.

Night Two: A New Perspective

Night two brought a slightly different vibe. Our Hunters were a bit camera-shy, opting out of the group photo opportunity, but Clayton's quick thinking saved the day. His friend Casper jumped in to add some fun to the snap. Hog Hunting can be a fierce and competitive endeavor, but it's also about enjoying the moments and the people around you.

Again, we spotted a small group of hogs, but much like the previous night, success was only half realized. Another Lone Hog was taken down, while the others scurried away, eluding capture yet again. Clayton, ever the jokester, expressed his readiness for what lay ahead: “I am so ready for river rafting. Can someone please call me around 11:30 am and make sure I am awake please?” The anticipation of white-water rafting the next morning was palpable among our guides and team members, adding an extra layer of excitement to an already thrilling experience.
