Guide Capt. Ben, who guided these Hunters Erick, Will & Fuzzy on a 2 Night Hog Hunt.
The Hunt started with excitement, as they spotted two Wild Hogs in a large Winter Wheat Field. Despite an attempt at a Stalk, erratic winds gave away their position, causing the Hogs to flee. The subsequent fields were quiet until a Lone Hog was sighted on the tree line. The group closed in for a stalk, only to discover a group of six Pigs, including Piglets, in the tall grass. They successfully took down the Largest Boar in the group. After exploring other fields with limited wildlife, they returned to find the same two Wild Pigs from earlier. Both were shot and tagged, securing a meat Sow.
The second night took them out west to Preston, Ga, where no Hogs were found. After regrouping, they headed back to Plains, Ga and encountered a sizable Sounder of 15-20 Hogs. A shot was taken, and although one Pig almost made it to the trees, it was successfully taken down at the woodline. They continued to check several more fields and found another Sounder, but their Stalking attempt was unsuccessful as the Hogs detected their scent. Despite the challenges, the group had a memorable experience with the Hunters from Alabama. Great times were had on this successful Hog Hunting Adventure with Guide Capt. Ben.
