A New Chapter Begins with Hog SWAT

Wild Hog Hunting

There’s something exciting about a first—First Guided Hunt, first time under the stars with Thermal, or in this case, our newest Guide Caleb’s first night in the field. With experienced Guide Zev leading the way, this 1 Night Hog Hunt was more than just a Hog Hunt—it was the beginning of a new chapter for the Hog SWAT team.

Night Begins with a Success

Right out of the gate, things looked promising. As the van rolled into the very first field, Wild Pigs were already in position. The team quietly got into place, set up quickly, and made the most of the opportunity. Three Pigs were successfully brought in to new homes early in the evening, a great start for any Thermal Hog Hunt—and an awesome first experience for a guide-in-training.

A Quiet Finish and a Great First Step

After that initial success, the night slowed down. The team covered ground, scanned with Thermal Equipment, and stayed sharp, but the rest of the night belonged to deer and a few curious critters. While the action may have tapered off, the experience was anything but dull.

For Caleb, this first Guided Hog Hunt was a chance to see what Hog SWAT is all about—patience, precision, and making every moment in the field count. With Zev showing him the ropes, he’s already on the path to becoming an outstanding Hunting Guide.

More Than Just a Hunt

Every night in the field tells a Hunting Story, and this one marked the start of a new one. We’re proud to have Caleb on board, and we’re looking forward to many more successful nights with him leading the charge.

Never Give Up:

A Wild Night Hunt with Hog SWAT

Hunting Stalks

Photo: Hunting Stalks @HogSWAT

Some nights, the Thermal Hunt comes easy. Other nights, the Pigs make you work for it. But at Hog SWAT, we don’t believe in giving up—and neither did this crew on a recent Hog Hunt led by Guide Hank.

From the start, it seemed like the Wild Pigs had disappeared. Hours passed, and despite scanning field after field with Thermal Equipment, nothing showed. The frustration was setting in, but we kept moving, covering ground, and staying ready. And then, just when all hope seemed lost—there he was.

Hog Hunting

Photo: Pig Hunt @HogSWAT

A Lone Hog popped up on the Thermal, moving through the field ahead of us. This wasn’t going to be an easy stalk. As we closed in, he spooked and bolted deeper into the field. We tracked him again, only for him to slip away. This cat-and-mouse game repeated itself, testing our patience and skill. Each time we got close, the Wild Hog would make another break for it.

But we don’t quit. Finally, after a careful, calculated approach, we got into position, and just like that—success.

This Wild Hog Hunt was a reminder of what makes Thermal Hog Hunting so thrilling. It’s not always easy, but perseverance pays off. At Hog SWAT, we Hunt hard, push through the challenges, and make every night in the field an adventure.

Thermal 3 Night Hog Hunt

Close Range Hog Hunting with Guide Zev

Hog Hunting is all about patience, skill, and taking advantage of the opportunities that come your way. Guide Zev recently led a Three-Night Hog Hunt that put his Hunters right in the middle of the action.

On one of the nights, the team found themselves inside 50 yards of a Massive Sounder—more than 30 hogs moving together through the fields. When the dust settled, there was success.

The last night, the team had another incredible opportunity.. The guys were great sports, but the long stalks had them a little out of breath. Sometimes, the excitement of the chase gets the best of even the most Seasoned Hunters! Though no Hogs photos were taken, the sheer number of Wild Pigs seen in one night was unbelievable.

Encounters like this are what make Thermal Hog Hunting so thrilling. Finding a Sounder that size is never guaranteed, and getting within range without getting busted takes experience and strategy. Though more hogs escaped into the night, the excitement of being that close and making successful moments for an Unforgettable Hunt.

Another great Hunting Trip in the books, and as always, the pigs won’t stay hidden for long. The next Hunt is just around the corner!

At Hog SWAT, we pride ourselves on delivering adrenaline-packed, Unforgettable Hog Hunting Experiences. This week was no exception, as Guide Hank led a 2-Night Hunting Trip that resulted in not only an Epic First-Time Hunt but also a double success story in the same field!

Night 1:

A First-Time Hunter’s Dream

Hog Hunting

Photo: Wild Boar Hunting @HogSWAT

There’s nothing quite like the thrill of your First Hunt, and this Father and Son Hunting Duo got to experience it firsthand. After scouting a couple of fields, we finally located a Wild Hog and quickly moved into position. The Hog made a short run into the field. This was no ordinary Pig—this was a beast of a Wild Boar, and an incredible first hunt to mark the beginning of what’s sure to be a lifelong passion for hunting. The Father-Son Hunting Team left the night with an experience they will never forget.

Night 2:

Back for More

Hunting In Georgia

The second night brought another chance at success, and these Hunters did not disappoint. Returning to the same field as the night before, almost in the exact same location, they found another Piggy. Once again, patience and precision paid off. After searching for more pigs for a while, they decided to wrap up the night, satisfied with their hard-earned victories.

By the end of the Hunting Trip In Georgia, these Hog Hunters not only took home some great meat but also memories that will last a lifetime. It was another great success for Hog SWAT, proving once again why we are South Georgia’s Premier Thermal Hog Hunting Outfitter.

Hunt Recap:

Persistence Pays Off

Hunting Hogs

Photo: Wild Hog Hunts @HogSWAT

Some nights, the Pigs make you work. Guide Hank led a Hog Hunt that started slow—almost feeling like a burn. The team covered ground, checked field after field, and refused to call it quits.

Then, near the end of the night, persistence paid off. One of the last fields they checked had Wild Pigs. The Hunters geared up and moved in, ready to stalk the group. But as they closed the distance, a Lone Boar broke off and unknowingly walked straight toward them. With no way to maneuver around him and still get to the Sounder, things had to be done. Success.

One Hog napping for the night, but in the world of Thermal Hog Hunting, any successful stalk is a win. Some nights, the pigs pile up. Other nights, it’s about adapting, making the most of the opportunity, and proving that giving up is never an option.

One Shot, One Kill

Photo: I’ve Never Seen A Red Pig Before @HogSWAT

Not every Hog Hunt is about numbers—sometimes, it’s about precision. On a recent night out with Hog SWAT, guide Zev led a group of hunters who proved that patience and discipline can be just as rewarding.

They got into position on a Small Sounder, but they focused the White Hog. When the moment was right, there was success.

Later in the night, Zev attempted to stalk a pair of hogs, but they slipped into a low spot and disappeared into the terrain. Tracking Hogs proved difficult, and even guides have off moments.

But that’s the reality of Wild Hog Wild Hog Hunting you take what the land gives you. Either way, every Thermal Hunt is an adventure, and every hunt tells a story.

Hunt Recap:

Precision in the Dark

Some Hunters are just built differently. That was the case on a recent Wild Hog Hunt led by Hog SWAT Guide Zev, where a group of Hog Hunters with deep Amish roots put their skills to the test. Their great-grandfather may have been kicked out of the Amish, but their discipline, patience, and natural Hunting Instincts were still evident.

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: As I Said Pro Hunters @HogSWAT

The team located a Solid Sounder that night, and the Hunters did amazing. They remained quiet and stealthy, moving with discipline even as the Thermal Equipment lit up the night like broad daylight. When the moment came, they wasted no time—4 pigs on the spot and touching at least six. Most hunters struggle to get more than two from a Sounder, but these guys handled it like professionals.

Thermal Hog Hunting

This is the kind of Hog Hunt that defines Hog SWAT—challenging, fast-paced, and rewarding. Watching hunters rise to the occasion, under pressure, and prove their skills is what makes Thermal Hog Hunting an experience like no other.

Two Nights in the Field:

A Hog Hunt with Zev

Hunting Wild Hogs at night is about patience, awareness, and learning how to move through the dark without giving yourself away. Guide Zev recently took a group of 3 Hunters out for a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the first night tested their persistence, the second night proved to be a lesson in both skill and success.

Night 1:

Tough Luck and Coyotes

The first night out, the Hogs were nowhere to be found. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting—some nights they’re out in force, and other nights they vanish like ghosts. To break up the slow night, we tried to set up on two separate Coyotes. But let’s just say… things didn’t go as planned. Between movement, positioning, and the learning curve of Night Hunting, things happen not how we planned.

Night 2:

Pigs Down and Lessons Learned

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hog Down @HogSWAT

Pig Hunts In Georgia

Photo: Sleepy Piggy @HogSWAT

With the frustration of night one behind them, the guys came back determined. It paid off early when we saw a Lone Pig, and success. But the real action came later in the night when we spotted a Sounder. This time, we moved better, stalked quieter, and moved without getting caught by Wild Hogs. When the moment came, they connected—one Pig Down from the group.

We did lots of walking. Moving through open fields during night isn’t the same as walking through the fields during the day. Every step has to be intentional, every movement controlled. By night two, they had it figured out.

In the end, two Wild Pigs took a nap, and these Hog Hunters walked away with more than just harvest—they left with a deeper understanding of the Thermal Hunt. And next time, those Coyotes might not be so lucky.

Brothers’ Night Out:

A Hog Hunt to Remember

Thermal Hog Hunting

At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt is an adventure, and last night was no exception. Guide Max led Trevor and Lorry, two brothers looking for a thrilling Night of Hog Hunting. From the start, the energy was high—these guys came ready for action and a good time.

Hog Hunting

Photo: Boar Down @HogSWAT

The night started slow, with fewer Hogs Moving than usual, but that didn’t put a damper on the Hunting Experience. With Thermal Equipment Scanning the Fields, we kept at it, sharing stories and plenty of laughs along the way. The wait paid off when a Big Boar finally presented itself. There was success.

Even on a slower night, good company and a Successful Hunt make for a Memorable Hog Hunting Experience. We had a blast with these guys and hope to see them back in the field soon for another round!

When it comes to Hog Hunting, no two nights in are ever the same, but every Thermal Hunt is an adventure. Guide Max recently led a 1 Night Hog Hunt with two brothers, Eric and Angel. For Angel, this was a special night—his First Hunt Ever.

The Wild Hog Hunt kicked off strong. As soon as they pulled into a field, they encountered a Sounder of Wild Hogs. Moving quickly, the group got into position. There was success, with one more making it into the trees.

After that first wave of action, the night slowed down, but that didn’t take away from the experience. The Pig Hunt wasn’t just about numbers—it was about the memories made in the field. For Angel, the rush of his First Hog Hunt and the thrill of the first success were moments he won’t forget.

Even on a slow night, Hog SWAT delivers. Thermal Equipment, Strategic Hunting, and the chance to Hunt alongside Experienced Hunting Guides make every Hunting Trip one to remember. Whether it’s your first hunt or your hundredth, there’s nothing quite like Hunting Wild Hogs under the cover of darkness.

Thermal Hunting

Not every Hog Hunt is fast and action-packed. Some nights test your patience and persistence, but in the end, staying the course makes all the difference.

Hunting Hogs

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Small Boy? @HogSWAT

Guide Hank led this Thermal Hunt, and from the start, it was a slow night. Moving from field to field, the Pigs stayed out of sight. After two hours of waiting in one promising spot with nothing to show for it, it was time for a change of plans. The final field of the night turned out to be the right call. A Lone Hog, head buried deep in a Peanut Field, was too focused on his meal to notice the Hunters moving in. With the wind shifting unpredictably, the stalk wasn’t easy, but the opportunity was there. The Hog Hunters made their move, and ended the night on a high note.

Even on slow nights, persistence leads to success. Whether the Wild Pigs are everywhere or playing hard to find, the Wild Hog Hunt goes on. If you’re ready for a challenge and a Hunting Experience, book a night with Hog SWAT—because the next field might be the one that pays off.

Good Luck and Good Hunting:

A Night with Guide Clayton

Hog Hunting

Photo: Pro Hunters @HogSWAT

Sometimes, a little luck goes a long way—but having the right Hunting Guide makes all the difference. Guide Clayton led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for a group of 3 Hunters, and by the time the night was over, they had 2 Wild Hogs down and some solid Hunting Memories to take home.

Deer Antler Shed

Photo: Deer Antler Shed @HogSWAT

While scouting the fields, Clayton also made one of his favorite discoveries—a Deer Antler Shed. Finding sheds is always a bonus on a Hog Hunt, and it just added to the night’s success. But Clayton had a theory about the good fortune: earlier that day, he spotted two heads-up pennies at the pressure wash station. That’s the kind of luck you don’t ignore, and sure enough, the Pigs showed up right on time.

At Hog SWAT, we mix skill, strategy, and sometimes just a little bit of luck to make every Wild Hog Hunt a success. Whether it’s Wild Pigs, sheds, or lucky pennies, there’s always something worth finding in the field.

Hog Hunting with the Family:

A Night in the Field with Hog SWAT

Rabbit Hunting

Not every Hog Hunt goes as planned, but every hunt tells a story. On a recent guided trip, Zev led a father and his two sons into the South Georgia night, searching for Wild Hogs under the cover of darkness. Ready with thermal and plenty of enthusiasm, they were ready for an adventure.

Early in the night, they spotted their first hog, but, but the pig took off into the brush, disappearing before they could get another chance. That’s how it goes sometimes - Wild Hogs are tough animals, and they can cover serious ground in an instant.

Despite the setback, the Wild Hog Hunt continued. The group stayed on the move, scanning fields and tree lines for their next opportunity. While the Wild Pigs managed to stay just out of reach, the boys did manage to get a rabbit. Their excitement over the small victory was undeniable, proving that sometimes it’s the little things that make a Thermal Hunt memorable.

By the end of the night, they may not have put a hog on the ground, but they walked away with a story to tell. That’s part of what makes a Hunt with Hog SWAT special it’s not just about the hog, it’s about the experience. And for this family, it was a night they won’t soon forget.

There’s something special about watching a father and his sons out in the field, learning the patience, discipline, and excitement that come with the Hunt. Night 1:

The first night started strong with one Hog Down early on. The Hunters got a second chance, but it made a break for the woods. Just when they thought the night was over, another Pig popped up in the field on the way back to the van. Success agian. We’ll call that a win-win.

Night 2:

Baby Pigs

The second night started with a bit of luck. While driving past a field, Hank Spotted Pigs right by the road. Wasting no time, they turned around, pulled in, and set up behind the van for cover. Just as they were getting ready, a couple of passing vehicles lit them up with headlights - an unexpected obstacle, but the Wild Pigs didn’t bolt. The Hog Hunters had success two more Wild Hogs before the Sounder scattered.

Three Nights, Six Hogs:

A Hog Hunt to Remember

Thermal Hunting

Photo: Killing In The Dark @HogSWAT

Guide Luke and his two Hunters arrived for a 3 Night Thermal Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, ready to put their skills to the test. From the very first night, the action was on, with Pigs Spotted immediately. Each night brought new challenges, but with patience, strategy, and expert guiding, they racked up an impressive total of 6 Hogs. Here’s how it all went down.

Night 1:

Off to a Strong Start

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

The first night started with a promising sight - Pigs moving between trees on two different properties where Hog SWAT has access. Unfortunately, the only path between them was directly upwind, making a direct approach impossible without spooking the hogs.

Instead, Luke took a different route, leading his Hog Hunters through a small opening to get within good distance. The strategy paid off as they got 2 Hogs right out of the gate. The rest of the night was quiet, but with two Pigs, it was already a success.

Night 2:

Adapting to the Conditions

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Pig Hunts @HogSWAT

The second night presented a new challenge - a Sounder of Hogs in an open, well-lit field, making it tough to move in undetected. Luke spotted an opportunity when the Pigs moved behind hay bales, breaking their line of sight. Using the cover to his advantage, he swiftly guided the hunters into position at about 60 yards. They had success.

Night 3: The Grand Finale

Georgia Hog Hunting

Photo: Taking Down Wild Hogs @HogSWAT

The last night of the Hog Hunt needed to be big - and it delivered. The highlight of the night was a patient, well-executed stalk that resulted in 3 Hogs, including an impressive Blue Boar.

With a full moon overhead, stealth was critical. Luke used a pivot as cover, keeping it between the hunters and the hogs as they closed the distance. The strategy worked perfectly, allowing them to get within 120 yards. The patience and persistence paid off, wrapping up the Thermal Hunt with a total of six hogs over three nights.

Thermal Hog Hunting

Four Nights, Two Guides, and a Whole Lot of Patience

Not every Hog Hunt goes as planned. Sometimes the Hogs cooperate, sometimes they don’t - but that’s what makes Hog Hunting such a challenge. A recent 4 Night Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT proved just that, as our Hog Hunters put in the work across multiple nights, with two different guides, to finally get some results.

Night 1 & 2:

Hunting with Guide Wes

Thermal Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

The first two nights were led by Guide Wes, and while the team put in the effort, the Wild Hogs weren’t exactly lining up to be taken. Field after field, stalk after stalk, they stayed just out of reach - until finally, persistence paid off. One Hog Down.

Not the numbers we hoped for, but the Wild Hog Hunt was far from over.

Night 3:

Switching it Up with Guide Zev

With two nights down and one Hog to show for it, the Hog Hunters regrouped with Guide Zev for the second half of their trip. The third night, the team had an opportunity but ended up with a Small Hog. Not the Trophy Boar they were after, but sometimes that’s the way it goes.

Night 4:

A Sounder and a Better Ending

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Down @HogSWAT

By night four, frustration could have set in, but these hunters weren’t quitting. With Zev leading the way, they got another chance this time at a Full Sounder. One more Wild Pig was success, giving them a proper ending to a long Hunt.

Hog Hunting is unpredictable, and no two nights are ever the same. Sometimes it’s a grind, sometimes it’s easy. But every hunt is a story, and this one was all about patience, persistence, and making the most of every opportunity.

Hog Hunting in South Georgia is never predictable, and for this group of three Hunters, the night was a test of persistence. With Guide Zev leading the way, they covered plenty of ground in search of Wild Hogs, and by the end of the night, their efforts paid off.

A Tough Start

The Hog Hunt kicked off early with a Single Hog spotted in the distance. The Hog Hunters had success with a Tough Boar. Zev moved the group in closer, but the Hog, now spooked, disappeared into the darkness.

Miles on Foot, Pigs on the Move

Determined to find more targets, the group pushed on, covering a lot of ground in pursuit of another Sounder. They finally closed in, only to find the Wild Pigs had already moved out of sight by the time they got into position. It was a frustrating setback, but they weren’t giving up yet.

Success at Last

At 2 a.m., the persistence finally paid off. A new Sounder of Hogs was spotted, and this time, the Hunters wasted no time. Moving in quickly, and 2 Pigs, ending the night with a hard-earned victory.

At Hog SWAT, we live for the thrill of the hunt. There’s nothing like scanning the fields under the cover of darkness, tracking down wild hogs with thermal optics, and putting our skills to the test. Our recent group of five Hunters got a firsthand experience of why a 2 Night Hog Hunt is the way to go.

Night One:

A Long Walk in the Dark

Guide Zev led the crew across five miles of farmland, scanning every field, every tree line, and every shadow for Wild Hogs. But that’s Hunting - some nights, the Pigs just don’t cooperate. We don’t sit in stands over bait piles. We go after them. That means some nights, even when you put in the work, the Wild Pigs don’t show up. But the Wild Hog Hunt doesn’t end there.

Night Two:

Redemption

The second night was a completely different story. Once the conditions lined up, the team got a few Wild Hogs, and even managed to snap a picture with three of them. There was also an unexpected guest - a possum - caught in the action for reasons unknown, maybe he wanted to see what all the commotion was about… lol.. Just another night in South Georgia.

This group came ready for the Thermal Hunt, and they got what they came for. The wild card?

Why Two Nights?

1 Night Hog Hunts are a gamble. You might get lucky, or you might cover five miles without a shot. But on a Two-Night Hog Hunt, you increase your chances of success. We can’t promise a hog every time - that’s real Wild Hog Hunting - but we can promise that we’ll put in the work to make it happen.

We don’t bait. We don’t sit in stands. We track, we stalk, and we hunt - like men.
