Boar Hunting in Georgia isn’t always easy — some nights test your patience, your timing, and your ability to adapt. But that’s what makes Thermal Hog Hunting so rewarding.

On this hunt, Guide Capt. Max led his hunters through a quiet South Georgia night that started slow. After several fields with little movement, they finally spotted a Sounder of Wild Hogs feeding among the tall corn stalks. Everything was lining up until the wind shifted — and the group scattered.

But one Lone Boar made the mistake of staying behind. With the Thermal locked in, the hunters lined up for the perfect shot —
Bam! Pow! Pow! Pow! — the boar dropped instantly.

That’s what Hog SWAT hunts are all about — patience, teamwork, and the adrenaline rush that comes when all the pieces fall into place. Every Wild Hog Hunt is different, and every stalk teaches something new about how these powerful animals move through Georgia farmland.

At Hog SWAT, we specialize in Guided Thermal Hog Hunts across South Georgia, using state-of-the-art thermal to track and manage Feral Hog Populations. Wild Hogs cause millions in crop damage each year, and our Hog Hunts help control their numbers while giving hunters an unforgettable experience in the process.

If you’re ready to experience the challenge of Boar Hunting in Georgia, Hog SWAT delivers — real guides, real Hunts, and real results.

The first night of this 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Hank in Americus, Georgia was a success from start to finish. The hunters were determined to get some Wild Hogs in South Georgia — and they did just that.

The night started with a single hog sighting out in the distance. As the hunters geared up and lined up their shots, the pig slipped back into the treeline — a classic move for these smart, nocturnal animals. But the Hog Hunt was far from over.

After covering a few more fields, the crew spotted a sounder of pigs right near the entrance of a field. Moving quickly, they grabbed the thermals, geared up, and got set just in time. Within seconds, both hunters made clean attempts, getting two hogs before the rest of the group scattered.

It was another great night of Boar Hunting in Georgia, with calm winds, good visibility, and a team that worked together perfectly. Two hunters, two hogs — great success.

Father-Daughter Duo and a Close Call for the Dawgs 🐗❤️

It was another great night of Hog Hunting in Americus Georgia with Guide Zev leading the way for this Father-Daughter Hunting Duo! After dropping five pigs on night one, the crew wasn’t done yet — they were back for round two and ended the hunt with one Big Pig down.

Meanwhile, Georgia fans were holding their breath as the Dawgs faced Auburn, trailing until the fourth quarter. We didn’t score until the third — it was way too close for comfort. But just like the Dawgs pulled through with a 20–10 win, this Father-Daughter Hunting Team stuck it out and made it happen under the stars.

There’s nothing better than seeing Families Hunting together and making memories that’ll last forever. Whether it’s college football Saturdays or late-night stalks in the fields, South Georgia keeps you on your toes.

If you’ve never experienced the rush of a Thermal Hog Hunt, come see what it’s all about. You might just get your own story worth cheering for.

Guide Zev recently led a one-night Thermal Hog Hunt for Hog SWAT, and it turned into one of those short, sweet, and memorable nights in the field. The group spent the first part of the night scanning plenty of deer through the thermal, waiting for the right opportunity.

Eventually, a hog made an appearance — and that’s when things got exciting. There’s nothing quite like watching a sounder or a single hog light up on thermal in the middle of the night. Every detail, from their movement to the heat signature in the grass, brings a whole new level of adrenaline to Night Hog Hunting.

That’s what makes Boar Hunting in Georgia so unique. Even on a short trip, every field holds surprises, and every Wild Hog Hunt offers something different. The experience itself — the teamwork, the gear, and the thrill of spotting pigs under thermal — is what keeps hunters coming back year after year.

He is backkkkkkk!!!!! Capt. Clayton, better known as the “Peanut Protector,” led his first Hog SWAT Hog Hunt of the 2025 Hunting Season after returning from captaining boats in Homer, Alaska over the summer. And what a way to kick things off—this 1 Night Hog Hunt in Georgia turned a Graduation Hunting Trip that none of these hunters will forget.

It was the group’s first time Thermal Hunting with Hog SWAT, and the fathers had planned the Boar Hunt as a late graduation gift for their sons. The night could not have gone better. The first sounder of hogs came in as a group of four, and the hunters made it count—four pigs down, clean and fast. Later in the night, they moved on a larger group of about fifteen hogs and managed to put at least eight more on the ground.

In total, the hunters wrapped up the night with twelve wild hogs harvested. Not a bad way to celebrate graduation and not a bad way for Capt. Clayton to shake off the “rust” after a summer at sea.

As he joked afterward, “Fishing might be easier and nothing makes you sweat like dragging Hogs in South Georgia heat.”

It was a night full of action, memories, and a serious impact on the Local Hog Population. For the hunters, it was the perfect way to celebrate a milestone. For Hog SWAT, it was the perfect start to another season of Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia.

South Georgia Hog Hunt

Thermal Hog Hunting

Night one of the two-night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia was full of action and long stalks. Early in the evening, deer were moving heavy, but the Wild Hogs didn’t make their appearance until later. Around 2:30 a.m., the hunters finally spotted the first pig. This hog gave them a real challenge, staying just out of range and eventually slipping into the treeline after nearly 45 minutes of pursuit.

By 4:30 a.m., another hog appeared, and they made a long stalk. Just as they got into position, the hog disappeared into the woods without offering a shot. Moments like that are what make Guided Hog Hunts in Georgia so unpredictable—you never know if it’ll be easy or if you’ll have to work for every opportunity.

Determined not to give up, Guide Kaleb took the hunters to a field that’s produced pigs right around daybreak before. Sure enough, history repeated itself. At 5:30 a.m., they located a Sounder of Hogs feeding in the field. Using Thermal, we closed the distance, made the stalk, and got one hog clean in the field. Another made it to the trees, but it crossed onto neighboring property where recovery wasn’t possible.

This South Georgia Hog Hunt proved why persistence pays off. Whether chasing single Boars or stalking into a Sounder, every Hog Hunt is a new memory. Guided Thermal Hunts with Hog SWAT are more than just Hunting—they’re about the challenge, the chase, and helping landowners with Feral Hog Control.

Thermal Hog Hunting In Georgia

At Hog SWAT, every Thermal Hunt is different, and this one led by Guide Kaleb proved that persistence and patience make all the difference. This wasn’t like the last few Guided Hog Hunts—it required hard work, determination, and the ability to adapt in the field.

The first field of the night looked promising with a single hog out in the open. Just as the stalk began, a vehicle pulled into the field and spooked the pig, sending it back into cover. From there, the night seemed to shift, and the fields filled mostly with deer. Around 1 a.m., another single hog appeared, but before the hunters could get set up, it slipped away into the night.

As hours passed, the team stayed focused, even when hope started to fade. By 4 a.m., many thought the Boar Hunt was over, but Kaleb wasn’t ready to quit. He knew that hogs often move late, and sure enough, just before 5 a.m., he spotted a pig moving across the field. Some mistook it for a deer, but Kaleb quickly confirmed it was time to gear up.

The stalk took them through tall corn, making visibility tough. Just as the hunters were preparing, the hog closed the distance and came within about 30 yards, locking eyes with the group. There was no time for a long setup—the team acted fast, and with precision, they had success.

The excitement of that moment turned what seemed like a slow night into one packed with adrenaline, teamwork, and a story these hunters will never forget.

Every Georgia Hog Hunt is unique, and this one reminded us that patience in the field is always rewarded. Hog SWAT’s Thermal Hunting Trips are about more than just the pursuit—they’re about the adventure, the strategy, and the memories made along the way.

This Boar Hunt with Hog SWAT and Guide Kaleb was one for the books. Early in the evening, a Massive Boar was spotted in one of the first fields. After a quick stalk, the father, son, and daughter trio worked together to ensure this Wild Hog didn’t slip away. When the group walked up, it was clear just how impressive this boar was—by far one of the biggest Kaleb has ever put his hands on. For reference, standing next to the hog, one hunter at 5’8” was nearly the same length!

Not long after, the group moved into another field filled with deer. As they waited, another hog entered, giving them the perfect opportunity for a smooth stalk. The result was another Wild Boar on the ground, making the night even more memorable.

Two Nights, Great Memories —

A Hunt with Guide Kaleb

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting In South Georgia @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt has its own story—and sometimes, it’s the unpredictable nights that leave the strongest memories. Guide Kaleb recently led a two-night Thermal Hog Hunt that brought its share of excitement, challenges, and a whole lot of laughter.

Night one started off slow, but momentum picked up when the group spotted a Lone Hog early on. The team worked together seamlessly, and it was one of those perfect moments that makes it all worthwhile. While the rest of the night was quiet on the fields, the energy stayed high. “Lots of laughs and great conversations,” Kaleb said. “These guys were awesome to spend the night Hunting Wild Hogs with.”

Night two kicked off with some early action as a Coyote came into a call. Chances were taken, but the coyote slipped away. Not long after, the crew got on a Sounder of Hogs that led them on a chase across the field—twice around a running pivot. Eventually, the group had a clear opportunity, and several Pigs were looked like they were almost re-homed, but none remained in the field. Later that night, they spotted another Group Of Wild Hogs, but a distant sound that i’m not allowed to say because google can be weird spooked the animals before anything could develop. To wrap things up, they pulled into one last field and spotted another Coyote in the Wild. A quick mouth call brought it in close, but once again, it managed to slip away.

Despite the wild ups and downs, the experience was everything a great Wild Hog Hunt should be. “These were some of the best guys I’ve guided yet,” Kaleb said. “Tons of laughs and some awesome memories made.”

At Hog SWAT, that’s what it’s all about—long nights, good people, and stories that’ll last well beyond the Hog Hunting Season.

A Night to Remember:

Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Kaleb

Some nights in the Planted Fields are packed with activity from the start. Others build anticipation until just the right moment. On a recent Hog SWAT Thermal Hunt, Guide Kaleb led a group through one of those slow-burn kind of nights—and it turned into an experience worth talking about.

“The night started off slow,” Kaleb said. “There were plenty of laughs and jokes being tossed around, but not much movement out in the fields.”

Even when the action takes its time, our team stays ready. Patience and persistence are key in this game, especially under the South Georgia stars. The team stayed alert, scanning the fields through Thermal, staying sharp despite the quiet.

Then, early in the morning, a single heat signature appeared.

“We spotted a Solo Hog moving through the brush,” Kaleb recalled. “We made a careful stalk—and it did not disappoint.”

That Lone Wild Hog sighting ended up being the only one of the night, but it made the entire evening worth it. Sometimes it just takes one encounter to turn a slow night into an unforgettable one.

At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt is different. Whether the action is non-stop or the fields stay quiet until the last hour, our guides work hard to deliver a Hunting Experience you won’t forget. Shoutout to Kaleb for staying sharp and keeping the group engaged—even when the Wild Pigs play hard to get.

First Night Out

A New Chapter Begins with Hog SWAT

Wild Hog Hunting

Photos: Hunting Wild Hogs @HogSWAT

There’s something exciting about a first—First Guided Hunt, first time under the stars with Thermal, or in this case, our newest Guide Caleb’s first night in the field. With experienced Guide Zev leading the way, this 1 Night Hog Hunt was more than just a Hog Hunt—it was the beginning of a new chapter for the Hog SWAT team.

Night Begins with a Success

Right out of the gate, things looked promising. As the van rolled into the very first field, Wild Pigs were already in position. The team quietly got into place, set up quickly, and made the most of the opportunity. Three Pigs were successfully brought in to new homes early in the evening, a great start for any Thermal Hog Hunt—and an awesome first experience for a guide-in-training.

A Quiet Finish and a Great First Step

After that initial success, the night slowed down. The team covered ground, scanned with Thermal Equipment, and stayed sharp, but the rest of the night belonged to deer and a few curious critters. While the action may have tapered off, the experience was anything but dull.

For Caleb, this first Guided Hog Hunt was a chance to see what Hog SWAT is all about—patience, precision, and making every moment in the field count. With Zev showing him the ropes, he’s already on the path to becoming an outstanding Hunting Guide.

More Than Just a Hunt

Every night in the field tells a Hunting Story, and this one marked the start of a new one. We’re proud to have Caleb on board, and we’re looking forward to many more successful nights with him leading the charge.

Sounder of 30 Wild Hogs

Thermal 3 Night Hog Hunt

Close Range Hog Hunting with Guide Zev

Hog Hunting is all about patience, skill, and taking advantage of the opportunities that come your way. Guide Zev recently led a Three-Night Hog Hunt that put his Hunters right in the middle of the action.

On one of the nights, the team found themselves inside 50 yards of a Massive Sounder—more than 30 hogs moving together through the fields. When the dust settled, there was success.

The last night, the team had another incredible opportunity.. The guys were great sports, but the long stalks had them a little out of breath. Sometimes, the excitement of the chase gets the best of even the most Seasoned Hunters! Though no Hogs photos were taken, the sheer number of Wild Pigs seen in one night was unbelievable.

Encounters like this are what make Thermal Hog Hunting so thrilling. Finding a Sounder that size is never guaranteed, and getting within range without getting busted takes experience and strategy. Though more hogs escaped into the night, the excitement of being that close and making successful moments for an Unforgettable Hunt.

Another great Hunting Trip in the books, and as always, the pigs won’t stay hidden for long. The next Hunt is just around the corner!

There’s nothing quite like the thrill of your First Hunt, and this Father and Son Hunting Duo got to experience it firsthand. This was no ordinary Pig—this was a beast of a Wild Boar, and an incredible first hunt to mark the beginning of what’s sure to be a lifelong passion for hunting. The Father-Son Hunting Team left the night with an experience they will never forget.

Hunt Recap:

One Shot, One Kill

Photo: I’ve Never Seen A Red Pig Before @HogSWAT

Not every Hog Hunt is about numbers—sometimes, it’s about precision. On a recent night out with Hog SWAT, guide Zev led a group of hunters who proved that patience and discipline can be just as rewarding.

They got into position on a Small Sounder, but they focused the White Hog. When the moment was right, there was success.

Later in the night, Zev attempted to stalk a pair of hogs, but they slipped into a low spot and disappeared into the terrain. Tracking Hogs proved difficult, and even guides have off moments.

But that’s the reality of Wild Hog Wild Hog Hunting you take what the land gives you. Either way, every Thermal Hunt is an adventure, and every hunt tells a story.

Two Nights in the Field:

A Hog Hunt with Zev

Hunting Wild Hogs at night is about patience, awareness, and learning how to move through the dark without giving yourself away. Guide Zev recently took a group of 3 Hunters out for a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the first night tested their persistence, the second night proved to be a lesson in both skill and success.

Night 1:

Tough Luck and Coyotes

The first night out, the Hogs were nowhere to be found. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting—some nights they’re out in force, and other nights they vanish like ghosts. To break up the slow night, we tried to set up on two separate Coyotes. But let’s just say… things didn’t go as planned. Between movement, positioning, and the learning curve of Night Hunting, things happen not how we planned.

Night 2:

Pigs Down and Lessons Learned

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hog Down @HogSWAT

Pig Hunts In Georgia

Photo: Sleepy Piggy @HogSWAT

With the frustration of night one behind them, the guys came back determined. It paid off early when we saw a Lone Pig, and success. But the real action came later in the night when we spotted a Sounder. This time, we moved better, stalked quieter, and moved without getting caught by Wild Hogs. When the moment came, they connected—one Pig Down from the group.

We did lots of walking. Moving through open fields during night isn’t the same as walking through the fields during the day. Every step has to be intentional, every movement controlled. By night two, they had it figured out.

In the end, two Wild Pigs took a nap, and these Hog Hunters walked away with more than just harvest—they left with a deeper understanding of the Thermal Hunt. And next time, those Coyotes might not be so lucky.

A Hog Hunt to Remember

Thermal Hunting

Guide Luke and his two Hunters arrived for a 3 Night Thermal Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, ready to put their skills to the test. From the very first night, the action was on, with Pigs Spotted immediately. Each night brought new challenges, but with patience, strategy, and expert guiding, they racked up an impressive total of 6 Hogs. Here’s how it all went down.

Night 1:

Off to a Strong Start

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

The first night started with a promising sight - Pigs moving between trees on two different properties where Hog SWAT has access. Unfortunately, the only path between them was directly upwind, making a direct approach impossible without spooking the hogs.

Instead, Luke took a different route, leading his Hog Hunters through a small opening to get within good distance. The strategy paid off as they got 2 Hogs right out of the gate. The rest of the night was quiet, but with two Pigs, it was already a success.

Night 2:

Adapting to the Conditions

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Pig Hunts @HogSWAT

The second night presented a new challenge - a Sounder of Hogs in an open, well-lit field, making it tough to move in undetected. Luke spotted an opportunity when the Pigs moved behind hay bales, breaking their line of sight. Using the cover to his advantage, he swiftly guided the hunters into position at about 60 yards. They had success.

Night 3: The Grand Finale

Georgia Hog Hunting

Photo: Taking Down Wild Hogs @HogSWAT

The last night of the Hog Hunt needed to be big - and it delivered. The highlight of the night was a patient, well-executed stalk that resulted in 3 Hogs, including an impressive Blue Boar.

With a full moon overhead, stealth was critical. Luke used a pivot as cover, keeping it between the hunters and the hogs as they closed the distance. The strategy worked perfectly, allowing them to get within 120 yards. The patience and persistence paid off, wrapping up the Thermal Hunt with a total of six hogs over three nights.
