3 NIGHTS OF HOG HUNTING

PHOTO: Thermal Hog Hunts In Georgia @HogSWAT

Spotted a large sounder on an adjacent field to one we Hunt. We knew they were headed our way to tear up a freshly planted field corn field. We waited patiently and after an hour or so they finally started to head over. Property lines and permission to hunt fields is a sacred thing. Harassing hogs on another farmers land is also not permitted. It sucks to do the right thing but the most over looked part about hunting is being patient. We know the hogs are coming out, we just don’t know when. Hogs are unpredictable except for one thing, they need to eat. Grateful to have this father and son duo Hog Hunting with us for the past 3 days. They stacked up 13 with hands on and probably more that made it to the woods.

Guided Hog Hunting

Every night in the fields of South GA brings a different challenge. Whether it’s wary Wild Boars or the unpredictable terrain of a farmer's field, being the Best Hog Hunting outfitter means knowing how to handle whatever the night throws at you.

The Sounder Success

Hog Hunting Georgia

The night kicked off with scouts at a few fields before the team moved to the next field. Using our Thermal, Guide Jordan spotted a large sounder in the center of the field. The team began a precise Spot And Stalk, closing the distance to about 100 yards.

As the team moved in, the Wild Hogs gathered in a defensive cluster. The group engaged the sounder, and through steady coordination, they successfully secured a harvest. After the excitement of the engagement, the team handled the field prep and began moving to the next location.

Teamwork and Terrain in Americus, Georgia

The "South Georgia Mud" is a real factor in Nighttime Hog Hunting. While moving between fields, the lead van found a soft spot in the road. Despite a valiant effort with the recovery tracks, the mud held firm. This is where the Hog SWAT team shines—Guide Noah quickly arrived to assist. We prioritized the guests' experience, transferred the gear, and continued the Guided Hog Hunting adventure without missing a beat.

The rest of the night was spent tracking a single boar on the another property. Between a coyote and the rolling "low spots" of the terrain, the Wild Boar proved elusive. We tracked it using a pivot for a higher vantage point, but the pig eventually vanished into the woodline just as the sun began to peek over the horizon. It was a long, hard-fought night that showed exactly what it takes to provide Unlimited Hog Hunting opportunities.

Nightly FAQ

Hog Hunting In Georgia

If you want to experience Hog Hunting In Georgia, you have to be ready to adapt to the conditions. After a quiet start to Night 2, Guide Jordan took a high-ground position on a pivot to maximize our Thermal Hog Hunts strategy. While we offer various Hunting Packages for hunters to have the choice of how long you want to Hog Hunt, the goal remains the same: putting meat in the cooler.

The team engaged in a high-stakes Nighttime Hog Hunting stalk, navigating open fields to within 150 yards. While the first encounter was a close call, the crew stayed focused—exactly what we teach in our Guided Hog Hunting sessions. They quickly relocated another target and used the tree line to conceal their silhouettes, a masterclass in Wild Hog Hunting field-craft. With a full moon we have to do everything we can to stay hidden.

Even with a minor equipment 'clank' on the tripod that put the target on high alert, the team’s improved camouflage and steady nerves won the night. They successfully executed a chance, securing a clean success. This is why so many people choose us for their Family Hunting Trips; we turn a 'miss' into a lesson and a 'lesson' into a harvest. After a final session on field-dressing, the Hunting Trip concluded as a 'Great Success.' If you’re ready to test your skills in the Georgia fields, Book your hog hunt with us at Hog SWAT!

Hands On Hog Hunts

The Best Hog Hunting In Georgia is about more than just whats on the ground; it’s about passing down the skills of a true woodsman. Guide Jordan led a recent Thermal Hog Hunting trip where the mission was as much about education as it was about the harvest. Under a moon that was 'bright as all hell,' the team utilized pivots and natural backdrops to stay hidden while tracking a large sounder.

The tactical patience paid off with a successful double recovery. In a great display of the Wild Hog Hunting lifestyle, the clients and their sons took the lead on the butchering process, spending over an hour learning how to properly handle a harvest in the field. This hands-on experience is a hallmark of our Georgia Guided Hog Hunting—we love seeing the next generation get involved!

The action continued, where a 100-yard stalk led to another clean drop. However, the bright moonlight proved to be a challenging teacher later in the night. Despite a perfect downwind approach on a group of five, the team learned a valuable lesson in Night Hog Hunting camouflage when high-visibility clothing gave away their position. It was a classic teachable moment that ended a Great Success of a night. We’ve got the gear swapped out and the lessons learned, and we are ready for an even bigger Night 2 of Georgia Boar Hunting!

Thermal Hog Hunts

Night two of our Hog Hunting Georgia expedition proved that in the world of Wild Boar Hunting, you have to be ready for anything—technical or otherwise. We started the evening at our newest property, utilizing Thermal for Hog Hunting to track a large sounder moving through a low spot near a local pond.

Professionalism is key in Night Hog Hunting, so we exercised extreme patience, waiting for the sounder to clear a group of nearby deer before engaging. Despite an initial equipment hurdle, the team stayed focused. When a second sounder entered the field exactly where the first had been, we seized the opportunity. With all three shooters synchronized, we secured a triple recovery in a high-action encounter that pushed our equipment to the limit.

The night wasn't without its technical challenges. Between re-mounting a silencer and performing a field-reset on a thermal unit, our guides proved they are just as much technicians as they are hunters. At Hog SWAT, we ensure the gear stays running so the Hog Hunting experience never stops. Though the group decided to head in early after a long night of tactical maneuvers and field dressing, it was another successful chapter in our South Georgia management efforts.

The second night of our South Georgia Hunting Trip with guide Jordan was a masterclass in persistence. After scouting several quiet sectors, our Thermal Hunting technology identified a single Wild Hog feeding near a tree line. The team executed a patient stalk, closing the distance to 70 yards for a clean, successful recovery.

The action then pivoted to Predator Hunting. While monitoring an agricultural pivot, the group encountered a coyote. After an initial high-stakes encounter, Jordan used tactical repositioning to set up a second opportunity from 100 yards out. The team stayed focused, resulting in a successful Coyote Hunting recovery that highlights the versatility required for Night Hunts in Georgia.

To wrap up the evening, we returned to a high-activity field and located a massive Wild Hog—a giant lone boar. With other hogs scattered in the distance, our guide prioritized the closest high-value target. A precise setup led to an instant recovery of the large boar, finishing the night on a high note. Whether we are focused on Boar Hunting or managing local predators, Hog SWAT delivers a professional, tactical experience every time we step into the South Georgia fields.

Boar Hunting IN Georgia

The first night of our recent Boar Hunting trip in Georgia was a masterclass in persistence and tactical movement. Guide Jordan led the group through several fields, utilizing professional Thermal Hunting technology to scout for activity during the early hours of the night.

After patient monitoring, a group of six Wild Hogs was identified emerging from the tree line. The team executed a precise stalk, closing the distance to within 80 yards. When the opportunity presented itself, the group capitalized on the movement in the open field, resulting in a successful recovery to start the night.

The action didn't stop there. While returning to the vehicle, Jordan spotted a single Wild Hog in the open. Using the terrain to their advantage, the group moved through a low spot to get within a mere 30 yards. This close-range Hog Hunting setup allowed for a perfect recovery, with the target secured instantly.

Before wrapping up, the team located another single hog at 80 yards and secured a final connection. Night one proved that in South Georgia, staying mobile and using the right Thermal Hog Hunting equipment is the key to turning a quiet night into a high-action success. We are looking forward to seeing what night two brings for this Georgia Hog Hunting adventure.

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hunting Wild Hogs @HogSWAT

When you step into the world of Boar Hunting in Georgia, you quickly learn how unpredictable the environment can be. Our latest outing highlighted the tactical nature of Night Hog Hunting and the importance of professional scouting.

Throughout the evening, we located multiple single targets and small groups of Wild Hogs across various South Georgia fields. These setups required quick decision-making and steady positioning as the hogs continued to shift. In professional Hog Hunting, being able to adapt to these changing conditions in real-time is what leads to a successful harvest.

As the night progressed, our persistence with the Thermal Hunting gear paid off. We located a sounder, allowing Hog SWAT guide Zev to position the group for a solid tactical setup. The precision of our equipment ensured that the encounter resulted in two Wild Hogs successfully recovered.

While not every opportunity ends in a recovery, every moment in the field is an opportunity to master Thermal Hog Hunting equipment and real-time decision-making. At Hog SWAT, our Multi-Night Hog Hunts are designed to build your confidence and expertise, ensuring you have the ultimate Boar Hunting experience in the heart of Georgia.

Night one of this 2-Night Guided Hog Hunt in Georgia highlighted the unpredictable nature of Hog Hunting open farmland after dark.

The evening began with road scanning and field checks before a sounder of hogs was located moving out of a tree line and into an open field. Conditions required patience and careful positioning, with the group working to close distance while maintaining a safe and controlled approach.

After regrouping and adjusting the plan, Hog SWAT guide Jordan positioned the hunters for a longer, stable setup. Shots connected, resulting in one hog successfully recovered during the encounter.

Later in the night, continued scouting led to another opportunity on a single hog near a tree line. Learning from earlier conditions, the group made a wide, methodical approach before setting up. All shots connected cleanly, resulting in another confirmed recovery.

With two successful recoveries and a strong finish, the group wrapped up the night early, choosing to end on a positive note and reset for night two.

This night was a solid example of what Thermal Hog Hunting often requires — adapting to changing situations, staying disciplined, and capitalizing when opportunities present themselves.

Not every Hog Hunt happens on a calm, clear night — and that’s part of what makes Hog Control effective.

This 1-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia began under heavy rain, forcing constant adjustments from the very start. Wet ground, reduced visibility, and shifting movement patterns meant every decision had to be made carefully and deliberately.

Early in the night, Wild Hogs were located near open ground alongside deer. Initial chances connected, but the presence of deer moving into the area required the team to pause rather than push the situation — a reminder that Hog Hunting at Night means knowing when not to continue.

As the night progressed, continued scanning revealed additional hog movement near tree lines and field edges. What started as a stalk on individual animals quickly turned into an opportunity on a nearby sounder. Adjusting plans on the fly, the group closed distance and executed a controlled setup despite rain and wind.

One hog was successfully recovered after covering significant ground, demonstrating how persistence and tracking matter just as much as the initial opportunity.

The remainder of the night was spent checking additional areas as weather slowly improved. While activity tapered off, the Hunt reflected exactly what Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia looks like— adapting to conditions, making smart calls, and staying disciplined when the situation demands it.

Kids Hunting

Night two of this 2-Night Hog Hunt in Georgia wrapped up the trip with exciting action and great energy in the field.

Early in the night, a single hog was located during setup. Although it moved off quickly, patience and persistence paid off, and the Wild Hog was successfully recovered after careful tracking.

Later on, additional sounders were located across nearby farmland. One group moved out before a setup could be completed, but continued scouting led to another sounder entering the area. With good positioning and teamwork, the group was able to make the most of the opportunity, resulting in five successful recoveries.

What made this night especially memorable was the shared experience. Hog SWAT loves seeing families and kids involved in Hog Hunting, learning the process, and being part of an exciting night in the field. These Hog Hunts aren’t just about results — they’re about creating positive memories and introducing the next generation to responsible Nighttime Hog Control.

Night two closed out the Wild Hog Hunt on a high note, finishing the Hunting Trip strong.

This 1-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in Georgia with Hog SWAT and Guide Clay was a strong reminder that Hog Hunting often rewards patience more than speed.

The night began with a couple of challenging stalks. In one instance, the timing simply didn’t come together, and in another, the Wild Hog moved into the trees before the group could fully set up. Situations like this are common when Hunting smart, pressured hogs that rarely stop moving.

Rather than calling it early, Clay continued covering ground and stayed committed well into the early morning hours. That persistence paid off around 4:00 AM, when a sounder was finally located and the group was able to move into position.

The setup came together cleanly, resulting in two hogs successfully recovered — a solid finish after a tough night of hunting. Late-night success like this is what makes Thermal Hog Hunting so rewarding: adapting to the conditions and being ready when the opportunity finally presents itself.

One of the younger hunters also chose to capture the experience with a Hog Hunting Video Package, ensuring the memories from the night will live on long after Hog Hunt ended.

From difficult stalks to a strong late-night finish, this Wild Hog Hunt showed exactly what Hog SWAT is about — honest hunts, real effort, and making the most of every opportunity in the field.

This Boar Hunt with Hog SWAT and Guide Kaleb was one for the books. Early in the evening, a Massive Boar was spotted in one of the first fields. After a quick stalk, the father, son, and daughter trio worked together to ensure this Wild Hog didn’t slip away. When the group walked up, it was clear just how impressive this boar was—by far one of the biggest Kaleb has ever put his hands on. For reference, standing next to the hog, one hunter at 5’8” was nearly the same length!

Not long after, the group moved into another field filled with deer. As they waited, another hog entered, giving them the perfect opportunity for a smooth stalk. The result was another Wild Boar on the ground, making the night even more memorable.

The first night started strong with one Hog Down early on. The Hunters got a second chance, but it made a break for the woods. Just when they thought the night was over, another Pig popped up in the field on the way back to the van. Success agian. We’ll call that a win-win.

Night 2:

Quick Thinking, Quick Shooting

Baby Pigs

The second night started with a bit of luck. While driving past a field, Hank Spotted Pigs right by the road. Wasting no time, they turned around, pulled in, and set up behind the van for cover. Just as they were getting ready, a couple of passing vehicles lit them up with headlights - an unexpected obstacle, but the Wild Pigs didn’t bolt. The Hog Hunters had success two more Wild Hogs before the Sounder scattered.

Rare Georgia Night Sky

A Night of Hog Hunting Adventures with Hog SWAT

Photo: Wild Hog Down @HogSWAT

Last night, Guide Capt. Clayton led another exciting Thermal Hog Hunting expedition for Hog SWAT in the beautiful landscapes of South Georgia. The weather was perfect, with a stunning purple-pink sky that created the ideal backdrop for the evening's Hunt.

As the team set out, everyone was eager to put their Thermal Imaging Gear to the test. It didn’t take long before they spotted their first target—a Lone Hog moving cautiously through the brush. With a well-placed shot, they successfully took it down, kicking off the hunt on a high note.

Feeling energized, they continued exploring the area and soon spotted a group of five Wild Hogs in the distance. Clayton and his team quickly strategized for a closer approach, but the Pigs proved to be quicker and evaded capture, darting into the nearby trees. Although it was disappointing to miss out on that group, the thrill of the chase added to the excitement of the night.

Throughout the evening, Clayton enjoyed sharing knowledge and experiences with the team. Their camaraderie and shared passion for Hunting made the adventure even more enjoyable. Conversations flowed about techniques, tools, and other Hunting Tales, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere amidst the tranquil sounds of the South Georgia Wilderness.

While the night ended with just one Hog to their name, it was an experience full of fun, teamwork, and great stories. For anyone looking to dive into the world of Hog Hunting, Peanut Protector Guide Capt. Clayton strongly encourages booking a trip with Hog SWAT. With expert guidance and the stunning backdrop of South Georgia, it’s an adventure that is sure to deliver. Clayton looks forward to their next outing together—hopefully with a few more Successful Hunts in the mix!

Family Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Family Hunting @HogSWAT

Guide Capt Ben led a family on a 1 Night Hog Hunt. The night started with slow Stalking to get a Coyote. As they reached the pivot, the guide began using cotton tail distress calls to lure the coyote into the field. However, after about 3 minutes, a Wild Hog emerged instead. The group got within 90 yards and took their shots, tagging the Hog, but it managed to make it to the trees just 10 feet away and escape the field.

Moving to a different area, they immediately spotted two Wild Boars. After a Long Stalk of about 700 yards, grappling with some inconvenient wind, they set up and successfully took down a nice Boar, claiming his head as a trophy. It was a successful Night of Hunting for the group led by Guide Capt Ben.

It was a long night Searching for Hogs as Guide Capt Max navigated the properties in search of the Elusive Animals. They came across a few on the neighboring properties that were not part of Hog SWAT’s Hunting Grounds, making it impossible to take a shot. Additionally, one of the Hog Hunting vans was down, so they had to make do with a rental 4x4 for the Hunt, adding a touch of uniqueness to the experience. Despite these challenges, they covered a significant amount of ground and eventually came across a Single Boar, marking a successful end to the Hunt.

Guide Hank led a group of eager Hunters on a 1 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. With a father and his two sons in tow, the Hunt promised to be an exciting adventure in the wilderness.

As the night unfolded, Guide Hank found himself doing a lot of walking, scouting the field for any signs of Wild Hogs. To his delight, the Pigs walked out in front of him, presenting the perfect opportunity for a successful Hog Hunt. Guide Luke had to think on his feet and sneak around the Swine to make his way back to the Hunting Van, where he prepared the Hunters for their mission.

With the Hunters ready and armed, Luke led them back out into the field and successfully took down a Pig. The group decided to call it a night after that, opting to rest up for their drive home in the morning.
