This is the start of a 2 Night Hog Hunt! This Thermal Hog Hunt started the night with a successful stalk on a single in the north fields, followed by another successful harvest near the woodline at our second location. Using our thermal, we tracked a large sounder that eventually moved onto our property near a pivot system. After waiting for a safe chance window, the team engaged and secured their third pig of the night.

We ended the morning with 3 pigs down! We are extremely grateful we got to take these guys out in the field with us. It was a pleasure having them on night 1 of this Wild Hog Hunt. Let’s see what night 2 brings!

We started the night strong in the first field, where we successfully secured 2 Wild Hogs. We spent the rest of the evening tracking several other sounders across South GA farmland. While the other groups of Wild Boars managed to evade us later in the night, we had some great opportunities and long stalks.

This Thermal Hog Hunt started out with scouting several properties and even having a close encounter with a clever predator during some Coyote Hunting action, the team moved toward the north fields. Which was not successful.

They located a large single Wild Boar and closed the distance to just 70 yards. Despite the adrenaline and a fast-moving target, the team regrouped and headed to our final field of the night. Using our Spot And Stalk Hunting method, we located two Wild Hogs feeding in the open.

Jordan identified a safe shooting window away from nearby structures and gave the team the green light. The coordination was perfect: one pig was secured immediately, and the second was successfully harvested on the run. It was a great way to end a long night of Guided Hog Hunting in South GA. We hope these guys enjoyed there 2 night hog hunt! We hope to have them out again!

Night Hog Hunts

Photo: Nighttime Hog Hunts @HogSWAT

This one-night Hog Hunt in Georgia started with guide Jordan checking the first two fields. On the second field he originally saw nothing, but from the top of the van he noticed some very faint signatures about 1,000 yards out. He decided to investigate the far side of the field.

They walked to where the signatures were and were able to spot the tops of pigs. He grabbed the guys and they stalked toward them, finding a group of about 10 pigs at the field edge. They closed to roughly 100 yards and took our first chance — one pig dropped. Two more were picked off on the run. The fourth was an injured pig that settled on the right side of the field; they finished it there. After taking pictures and butchering the pigs, they checked a few more fields and saw nothing.

Next they checked the field northwest of that one, which had been absolutely destroyed by Wild Hogs. They spotted a single pig and took care of business from about 100 yards. Then parked the van between two fields and walked the circular field, where he spotted a lone hog about 800 yards from the van. Jordan brought the team back; only two shooters thistle. They set up at roughly 100 yards and were confident the pig would fall with one chance. The first chance didn’t drop him; he ran toward the woods, but before he reached cover, one hunter made an excellent leading chance and dropped the hog — exactly as Guide Jordan taught: place the outer edge on the nose and lead a running hog correctly.

They took pictures, and checked a few fields and finally headed home. In total, six pigs were taken on this Thermal Hog Hunting trip with Hog S.W.A.T. We hope the guests had a great time and that they’ll come back. Book your Wild Hog Hunt with Hog S.W.A.T. today!

3 NIGHTS OF HOG HUNTING

PHOTO: Thermal Hog Hunts In Georgia @HogSWAT

Spotted a large sounder on an adjacent field to one we Hunt. We knew they were headed our way to tear up a freshly planted field corn field. We waited patiently and after an hour or so they finally started to head over. Property lines and permission to hunt fields is a sacred thing. Harassing hogs on another farmers land is also not permitted. It sucks to do the right thing but the most over looked part about hunting is being patient. We know the hogs are coming out, we just don’t know when. Hogs are unpredictable except for one thing, they need to eat. Grateful to have this father and son duo Hog Hunting with us for the past 3 days. They stacked up 13 with hands on and probably more that made it to the woods.

It was as if we drove into the eye of a storm to start the night. but after about 10 pm hogs started to move in the wet freshly planted fields. The 2 corn bandits were dropped out of the sounder. It was difficult to get any closer due to the white colored shirt, but Guide Jordan was able to make this Hog Hunt possible. Full Moon Thermal Hog Hunt

5 down for the night after checking multiple planted corn fields. Was able to drop 3 on out of 7+ but most of the Hogs were small in that sounder We were able to use the wood line as a back drop to get with in 80 yards. The second encounter we were able to recover 2 out of 15+ with more wounded but making it to the woods. Full moon nights make it easier to stalk in fields, but using terrain and contours of land are a huge part of hunting at night. While most people think hogs can’t see at night you would be shocked at the distances hogs and hunters can see at night.

When you head out for a 1 Night Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, you never know exactly how the evening will unfold. Some nights are about the long-distance Spot And Stalk, and other nights, like this one led by Guide Noah, become an unforgettable lesson in teamwork and quick reflexes.

The hog Scouting Process in South GA

The night began with a focused search across several key properties. While the Wild Hogs were playing hard to get early on, the team stayed positive as they spotted plenty of local wildlife, including several deer moving through the fields. In Thermal Hog Hunting, seeing other wildlife active is often a great sign that the Wild Boars will be moving soon after.

After checking the Pivot and other fields, Noah located a single boar in the field. The team initiated a stalk and made a connection, though the clever boar managed to retreat into the thick Georgia woodline.

The Sounder Encounter

Thermal Hog Hunting

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

The highlight of the night occurred at another field. Using Thermal, Noah located a large sounder. As the group moved in to engage, the situation became intense. With multiple Wild Hogs scattering in every direction and 1 gotten, the team had to manage a few equipment adjustments on the fly.

In a moment of pure adrenaline, a large hog began moving directly toward the group’s position. Demonstrating the expert training we provide all our staff, Noah acted instantly. He managed the close-range encounter from only 5 yards away, successfully securing the harvest and ensuring the safety of the entire group. It was a close moment that ended the night with a massive rush, proving why we are the Best Hog Hunting outfitter for those seeking a true adventure.

Nightly FAQ

Q: How does Thermal help during a Night Hog Hunt? A: Thermal is a game-changer for Nighttime Hog Hunting. It allows us to see the heat signatures of Wild Boars from hundreds of yards away, even in total darkness. This gives us the advantage during a Spot And Stalk Hog Hunting, allowing us to get close for a successful harvest. You can Learn More About Why We Hunt With Thermal here.

Q: Do you offer No Limit Hog Hunts? A: Absolutely! At Hog SWAT, we provide Unlimited Hog Hunting. Our mission is to help South GA farmers by removing as many Wild Hogs as possible. Whether it's a single boar or a massive sounder, there is no cap on your harvest. To see our different trip lengths, Learn More About 1 Night Hog Hunts or our 2 Night Hog Hunts.

The Core of Our Georgia Hog Hunting

When you book a 1 Night Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, you aren't just paying for access to fields; you are paying for professional tactical hog hunting oversight. Thermal Hog Hunting in the varied terrain of South GA requires intense focus and a guide who knows how to navigate complex environments to ensure a successful harvest.

Spot and Stalk Hog Hunting

On a recent night led by Guide Jordan, the team located a sounder of Wild Hogs positioned near a cluster of farm buildings. Because we hunt on active agricultural land, our guides perform a full environmental briefing before every Spot And Stalk Hog Hunting.

Jordan identified the safest lane for engagement and coached the hunter into a prime position using our Thermal gear. By setting up the tripod for maximum stability and identifying the target clearly, the guest was able to successfully secure a harvest on a Wild Boar. At Hog SWAT, we believe the Best Hog Hunting happens when preparation meets the right opportunity, and this first success set a great tone for the night.

The Intensity of the Sounder Stalk

Later in the evening, the team used their thermal to locate a massive sounder of approximately 30 pigs moving through a southern field. This is the heart of Unlimited Hog Hunting—finding the large groups that cause the most significant damage to Georgia farmers.

Jordan led a stealthy Spot And Stalk to within 100 yards of the massive group. While the pigs were alert and eventually managed to evade the group into a low spot, the experience of being that close to 30 Wild Boars is an adrenaline rush you can only find with a premier Georgia Hog Hunting outfitter. Our guides work tirelessly to put you in the right spot, managing the wind and the terrain until the very last field of the night.

Nightly FAQ

Q: How do you choose which fields to hunt for Wild Boar Hunting? A: We stay mobile! At Hog SWAT, the Best Hog Hunting happens when you go where the pigs are. We check multiple properties throughout the night to find active sounders. You can Learn More About How We Hog Hunt to see our scouting strategy.

Q: What if I have trouble finding the pigs in the thermal? A: Our guides are experts at "coaching" you onto the target. Whether it's your first time Hog Hunting In Georgia or you're a seasoned pro, we will help you set up your equipment and focus your thermal so you have a clear view of the Wild Hogs. Check out our What To Bring page to see how to prepare.

Hog Hunt Starting Strong

Georgia Boar Hunting

Guide Noah started the night at Preston Field under a bright 1/4 moon. Despite the extra light, the team used the terrain to stay hidden. They spotted two Wild Hogs right at the start of the night. Using a high-precision Spot And Stalk, they moved within 100 yards. The hunter stayed calm and successfully secured the first harvest of the night—a great start to this Georgia Hog Hunting trip.

Thermal Hog Hunting

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

After checking 3 fields, the team moved toward another Field. This was a true test of stealth. With no moonlight but plenty of noise from the dry corn stalks, Noah led a massive 1,000-yard stalk, cutting the distance down to just 50 yards! The team engaged a large sounder and successfully secured another harvest.

Ending the Morning with a Bang

The night took a brief tactical turn as Noah stopped to assist Guide Jordan with a vehicle recovery (proving once again that the Hog SWAT team always has each other's backs!). Afterward, the team headed to Israel’s field for two more opportunities. While the Wild Boars in those fields were elusive and managed to evade the group, the adrenaline was high until the very end.

It was a successful solo 1 Night Hog Hunt that proved why Thermal Hog Hunting is the most exciting way to experience the Georgia outdoors.

Nightly FAQ

A Wild Night of Georgia Hog Hunting

Guided Hog Hunting

Photo: Guided Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

Every night in the fields of South GA brings a different challenge. Whether it’s wary Wild Boars or the unpredictable terrain of a farmer's field, being the Best Hog Hunting outfitter means knowing how to handle whatever the night throws at you.

The Sounder Success

Hog Hunting Georgia

Photo: Hog Hunting Georgia @HogSWAT

The night kicked off with scouts at a few fields before the team moved to the next field. Using our Thermal, Guide Jordan spotted a large sounder in the center of the field. The team began a precise Spot And Stalk, closing the distance to about 100 yards.

As the team moved in, the Wild Hogs gathered in a defensive cluster. The group engaged the sounder, and through steady coordination, they successfully secured a harvest. After the excitement of the engagement, the team handled the field prep and began moving to the next location.

Teamwork and Terrain in Americus, Georgia

The "South Georgia Mud" is a real factor in Nighttime Hog Hunting. While moving between fields, the lead van found a soft spot in the road. Despite a valiant effort with the recovery tracks, the mud held firm. This is where the Hog SWAT team shines—Guide Noah quickly arrived to assist. We prioritized the guests' experience, transferred the gear, and continued the Guided Hog Hunting adventure without missing a beat.

The rest of the night was spent tracking a single boar on the another property. Between a coyote and the rolling "low spots" of the terrain, the Wild Boar proved elusive. We tracked it using a pivot for a higher vantage point, but the pig eventually vanished into the woodline just as the sun began to peek over the horizon. It was a long, hard-fought night that showed exactly what it takes to provide Unlimited Hog Hunting opportunities.

Nightly FAQ

Q: What happens if the weather or terrain gets tough during a hunt? A: That is the benefit of a professional Hunting Company. Our guides are trained to handle vehicle recoveries, shifting weather, and changing animal patterns. We stay focused on the Spot And Stalk so you can focus on the harvest. You can Learn More About How We Hog Hunt to see our recovery protocols.

Q: Is there a limit to how many hogs we can get in one night? A: No! We offer No Limit Hog Hunts and Unlimited Boar Hunting. Whether we find one single or a massive sounder of Wild Boars, our goal is to help the farmers and give you the best experience possible. Georgia Boar Hunting

When it comes to Guided Hog Hunting, the equipment is only half the battle—the other half is patience and stealth. On a recent 1 Night Hog Hunt led by Guide Jordan, our guests got a front-row seat to how we use professional tactics and terrain to our advantage in South GA.

The Hog Hunting Stalk

The night began with an extensive scout of a few fields. While things were quiet early on, the momentum shifted at the next field. Just as the team reached a high point, the top-mounted AGM Thermal picked up a group of over five Wild Hogs feeding in a low spot about 150 yards away.

One of the pigs was alert, watching the van closely. Jordan’s experience was key here—he kept the vehicle perfectly still, allowing it to blend into the environment until the sounder settled back into feeding. This allowed the group to safely exit, gear up, and begin a precise Spot And Stalk. After closing 50 yards of distance on foot, the team set up their thermals.

Securing the Harvest in South GA

Hog Hunting Georgia

Photo: Hog Hunting Georgia @HogSWAT

Despite the adrenaline of a fast-moving sounder, the team stayed focused on the task. After the initial engagement, several Wild Boars moved across the field. Through quick coordination and follow-up tracking, the group successfully secured multiple harvests.

Jordan’s expertise was vital in tracking down and recovering the animals in the tall grass and nearby ditches, ensuring a successful night for the guests. This kind of high-intensity Nighttime Hog Hunting is why we are considered the Best Hog Hunting outfitter in the United States. We ended the night checking Israel and Field 34 before the team called it a night at 2:30 AM, exhausted but successful.

Nightly FAQ

Q: Do I need to be an expert to join a Guided Hog Hunting trip? A: Not at all! Whether it is your first time Hog Hunting In Georgia or you are an experienced hunter, our guides go over everything at the range. We teach you how to use the tripods and AGM Thermal to ensure you are comfortable before we ever step into a field. You can Learn More About What To Bring to help you prepare.

Guide Noah Leading A Hog Hunt

At Hog SWAT, we pride ourselves on having the most elite team of professionals in the Guided Hog Hunting industry. Today, we are excited to celebrate a major milestone: Guide Noah successfully led his very first solo Nighttime Hog Hunting trip!

Training a guide to our standards takes time and dedication. After weeks of shadowing our senior experts, Noah took the lead to show why he is a perfect fit for the Best Hog Hunting Company In Georgia.

Hog Hunting in Americus, Georgia

Georgia Hog Hunting

The night began with a strategic scout of a few fields. After performing a "dirty zero" to ensure all AGM Thermal equipment was perfectly calibrated and conducting a thorough safety briefing, the team moved toward Wilmar.

Spot And Stalk Wild Boar Hunting requires patience, and it paid off at another field. Noah located a large sounder of Wild Hogs moving through the field. Under his leadership, the group successfully engaged the sounder and secured a two-pig harvest. This is a fantastic result for a first solo outing and a testament to the Georgia Hog Hunting skills Noah has mastered.

The Stealth of the Spot And Stalk Wild Hog Hunting

After handling the field prep for the harvest, the team continued their search for hogs. They spotted a solo Wild Boar and began a stealthy approach. They managed to get within 100 yards, but the pig remained alert and eventually retreated into the woodline.

While not every stalk ends in a harvest, the ability to track and get within range of these wary animals is what makes Hog SWAT the top choice for Wild Boar Hunts. Noah’s ability to manage the wind and the terrain shows he is ready to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience.

Nightly FAQ

Q: How many people can a single guide take out hog hunting? A: Each of our expert guides can take up to 5 people per night. Night 1: The Challenges of Nighttime Hog Hunting

Our first night of this Guided Hog Hunting trip proved why Wild Boars are such respected opponents. We started at Wilmar, where a single pig was spotted near the woodline. Despite a stealthy approach, the shifting winds in South GAmade it difficult to close the distance.

In Thermal Hog Hunting, the wind is everything. We moved to the another Field and located a sounder near a watering hole, but the group caught our scent and retreated. While we had an engagement opportunity near the farm buildings later that night, the tall grass made for a difficult connection. It was a tough reminder that even with the best AGM Thermalgear, the animals sometimes have the upper hand.

Night 2: Securing the Harvest in South GA

Thermal Hog Hunting

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

The second night of this 2 Night Hog Hunt was a complete turnaround. After scouting a few fields—where we even spotted some Coyotes — we moved to Oscar’s field. Which Hog Hunts sometimes turn into Coyote Hunting.

Wild Boar Hunting

Photo: Wild Boar Hunting @HogSWAT

Our team spotted a single Wild Boar on the back corner. Because the wind was tricky, Guide Jordan led a massive 700-yard Spot And Stalk to stay downwind. The patience paid off. We moved within 100 yards and successfully secured the harvest. After completing the field prep, we moved to another field where we tracked another single. After a 150-yard stalk, the group successfully got their second boar of the night.

This is why we recommend the multi-night packages; it gives you the best chance for Unlimited Hog Hunting success. Feel free to Learn More About 2 Night Hog Hunts to see why more time in the field leads to better results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How far do you usually walk during a Spot And Stalk Wild Boar Hunting trip? A: It varies! As seen on Night 2 of this trip, we performed a 700-yard stalk just to get the right wind angle and that was just one stalk. We recommend guests check our What To Bring page to ensure they have comfortable, and quiet boots for trekking through Georgia Hog Hunting terrain.

Q: Do we hunt more than one location per night? A: Absolutely. At Hog SWAT, the Best Hog Hunting happens when you stay mobile. We check multiple farms like Wilmar, Oscar’s, and Eddie’s to find where the Wild Hogs are active. You can Learn More About How We Hog Hunt by visiting our strategy page.

📋 Field Report: Tactical Night Operation

Lead Guide: Hank (In coordination with Guide Jordan)

Location: South Georgia Agriculture Belt

Primary Gear: AGM Thermal

Hunting: Wild Boar & Coyote (Simultaneous Engagement)

Outcome: Successful Boar Harvest / Predator Control Initiative

When you book a Hunting Trip with the Best Hog Hunting Company, you have to be ready for the unpredictable. This recent night with Guide Hank started as a routine transit between fields but quickly turned into one of the most high-adrenaline stalks of the Hog Hunting Season.

The "Odd Field" Hog Hunting Discovery

While en route to rendezvous with Guide Jordan for a combined sounder sweep, Hank decided to check an "odd field"—a property that isn't always active but can hold surprises. His intuition paid off immediately when his Thermal picked up a massive solo boar roaming the open ground.

Hunting in the Field: Coyote Hunting

As the team began their stealthy approach, the situation shifted instantly. A Coyote emerged from the brush, charging toward the boar and nearly spooking the target before the hunters could get into position. This is where the Thermal Hunting experience of a Hog SWAT guide becomes invaluable.

The team had to move in a rush to set up before the predator "messed with the pig" and ruined the opportunity. With two different species in the frame, the decision was made to engage both simultaneously—a high-stakes maneuver that requires perfect coordination.

Hunting Wild Hogs

On the count of three, chances were made at both the coyote and the Boar. While the "ghost of the woods" managed to slip away into the shadows, the team remained locked on the primary target. The Wild Boar was successfully secured on the spot, turning a chaotic encounter into a textbook harvest.

This level of rapid-response Hog Hunting is exactly why we are the top choice for Night Hog Hunts in Georgia. We don't just sit and wait; we Wild Hog Hunt with an aggressive, tactical mindset that turns every "odd field" into a potential victory.

🐺 Why Thermal Predator Hunting Matters

In Georgia, managing the coyote population is just as important as controlling the invasive wild boar. When you hunt with Hog SWAT, you are participating in a professional land management program. Whether we are clearing sounders or intercepting predators, our Thermal Gear ensures that we see everything moving in the Georgia Night. That’s why Coyote Hunting and Boar Hunting is important.

Hog SWAT Hog Hunting with Guide Jordan

If you are looking for the Ultimate Night Hog Hunt, you know that the conditions can change in a heartbeat. Last night, Guide Jordan led an intense, one-night Georgia Hog Hunting excursion that put our gear, our patience, and our stalking skills to the test. From predator control to high-stakes sounder sweeps, here is the breakdown of the action.

Predator Control: Coyote Hunting at Close Range

We kicked off the night at our first location with high expectations. It didn’t take long for the Thermal to pick up two high-speed heat signatures: Coyotes.

We began a tactical stalk, but these "ghosts of the woods" slipped into a low spot in the standing corn. Thinking the opportunity had passed, we looped back toward the hunt van. Suddenly, they reappeared on our right flank, closing the gap to a mere 30-50 yards. Jordan signaled for silence, got one of the coyotes to pause, and with one hunter ready, we got the coyote on the spot. It was a perfect start to a night of Nighttime Predator Hunting.

Navigating Deer and Wild Boar

Next, we transitioned to a new property where we spotted a massive sounder of wild pigs on a northern field. After calling in Luke for backup, we moved in for a group stalk. This is where thermal hog hunting gets tricky.

As we moved in, a group of deer began cycling through the field, positioned directly between us and our targets. We found a narrow lane to continue the stalk, but the local wildlife had other plans. A deer on our left caught our scent and blew the alarm, sending the entire sounder bolted into the timber. It’s a classic reminder that when you’re Stalking Wild Hogs, the wind and the surrounding wildlife are just as important as anything else in Hog Hunting.

Hog Harvest

Determined to put some pork on the ground, we split up to glass different fields. Jordan spotted a second sounder and we quickly regrouped. This time, we played the wind perfectly, angling our approach to stay undetected.

We managed to get within 100 yards of the pigs as they settled into a natural "bowl" in the terrain—the perfect zone for a Thermal Hog Hunting. We coordinated our chances and successfully harvested three hogs in a matter of seconds.
