Guides Zev and Hank took the crew out for what turned into an Unforgettable Hunting Adventure. Covering 800 yards of ground, the group worked their way through the fields, moving in silence, watching the landscape through Thermal Equipment. When the time came, eight Wild Hogs —a moment that had Zev feeling like an absolute legend.

Two Nights of Hog Hunting with Guide Zev

At Hog SWAT, every Guided Hog Hunt has its own story—sometimes it’s about the Pigs, sometimes it’s about the people. Guide Zev just wrapped up a 2 Night Hog Hunt that had a little bit of both… plus some unexpected entertainment.

Night 1:

When Max Steals the Show

The plan was simple—find Pigs, put clients on them, and start Stacking Hogs. But things took a turn when fellow Capt Max showed up early and handled business before Zev even arrived. “I would’ve gotten more pigs,” Zev said, “but Max had to show up early and assert dominance and took them all before I got there.”

With some Wild Hogs already taken care of, the night turned into more of a grind. Around 4 a.m., they finally caught up with a Lone Hog and made a solid Hunting Stalk—about 800 yards of slow, careful movement through the field. The payoff? Yes.

Oh, and then there was hunter who took an unexpected tumble in the middle of the field. No injuries, just a little extra dirt in the experience.

Night 2:

Don vs. the Mud Hole

Don was here to Hog Hunt. At some point during the night, he spotted a mud hole by accident and, made a full dive into it… This happens more than people think.

The results?

• One very muddy Don.

• One very dirty rifle.

• One hunter sitting in the van for the rest of the night.

Meanwhile, Zev put in the work, covering a lot of ground with his remaining Hog Hunters. They made a solid approach, but the Pigs got spooked before anything happened. Even though no Wild Pigs took a nap that night, the guys stayed chill, enjoying the challenge for what it was.

Final Tally:

A Hunt to Remember

Between Max stealing the action on Night 1, the long stalks, a surprise mud wrestling match, and plenty of miles covered, this two-Night Hunt was far from boring. And while Zev didn’t get the big numbers this time, the memories (and the mud) will definitely stick like Georgia Clay.

Night One:

The Calm Before the Hunt

The first night started with high hopes, as our Hog Hunters anticipated spots filled with Wild Hogs. However, despite their enthusiasm and readiness, it just wasn’t the night for success. Under Guide Zev's expertise, the team didn’t encounter any, but the Pigs proved elusive, leaving the group without any Harvested Game.

While it can be disappointing to leave a Hog Hunt without any Wild Pigs down, every adventure in the field offers invaluable lessons and build camaraderie. That is the name of the game when it comes to Wild Hog Hunting. Hunting these animals in the wild is unpredictable so some nights you might see 100 sometimes it’s none.

Night Two:

A Perfect Setup for Success!

As the sun set, it was Guide Hank’s turn to lead the Hunting Expedition. What an adventure it turned out to be! Just as they arrived in the field, some Wild Pigs were spotted right next to the van. Without skipping a beat, Hank made a snap decision to pursue the Hogs freehand, knowing that setting up the sticks would only send them fleeing.

“The urgency of the moment allowed us to stay in the game,” Hank later explained. With quick reflexes, the Hog Hunters landed them, but they unfortunately didn’t manage to get any photos…

After spending three solid hours searching for a solid target, they finally spotted a Lone Hog—one so starved that it seemed oblivious to the hunters' presence. Patience and stealth paid off, and the group was able to secure it, marking a successful conclusion to the night.

This past weekend was a fantastic showcase of what Hog SWAT has to offer. Guide Kevin led a 2 Night Hog Hunt starting Friday, giving a group of four hunters a thrilling experience they’ll never forget. On the first night, the team struck success in Pertoria Field, bringing down a Hog under the starry Georgia sky. The second night took them to a field known as "Sheriffs," where they closed out the weekend with another Wild Hog down, capping off a Memorable Hunt.

Father-Son Hunting Duo

A Two-Night Hog Hunt with Guide Hank

The world of Hog Hunting is one filled with excitement, camaraderie, and the thrill of the chase. Recently, a father-son duo had the pleasure of embarking on a Two-Night Hunting Expedition with the renowned Guide Hank from Hog SWAT. With hopes high and spirits even higher, they were ready for an adventure they wouldn’t soon forget.

Night 1: A Singular Triumph

As the sun set over the expansive fields, casting a golden glow across the terrain, Hank briefed his eager guests on the plan for the evening. The father-and-son team were out for some fun, and Hank was determined to ensure they had an unforgettable experience.

After a brief trek through the field, the group quickly stumbled upon a familiar sight: Frank the Tank’s little brother—a Young Hog who, unbeknownst to him, would soon meet his fate. The excitement in the air was thick as they took careful aim. With a well-executed shot, they brought the little Wild Hog down, marking a successful start to their Hunting Trip.

But the night wasn't over yet. Shortly after, they spotted a Coyote prowling through the brush. Hank encouraged the team to take their shot, and with a few rounds fired, they added another notch to their success story. The first night concluded with the satisfaction of a Single Hog and the thrill of a Coyote Encounter, leaving everyone feeling accomplished and eager for what lay ahead.

Night 2: Big Game and Unexpected Surprises

As night fell on the second evening, the energy was electric. With stories and laughter still fresh from the previous night, the father-son duo was ready for Round Two. Hank, always attentive to the dynamics of his group, prepared them for another action-packed night in the Hunt.

Just moments into their outing, they encountered a Big Pig. With adrenaline coursing through their veins, the team moved in for the shot. They managed to take it down quickly, a perfect start that set the tone for an incredible evening. The Thrill of the Hunt was palpable, and the success solidified their confidence as Seasoned Hunters in the making.

But the excitement didn’t end there. As they wrapped up the night, the team came across an Armadillo foraging along the trail. With a touch of humor, Hank encouraged them to take aim again. This unexpected addition to the night’s end resulted in another memorable experience that showed just how unpredictable and engaging Hog Hunting could be.

Guide Hank recently led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for Hog SWAT that proved to be a memorable and successful outing. In a rare turn of events, the group encountered Pigs on the first field they explored, a sight that excited and energized everyone involved. Guide Hank expressed his surprise at the fortunate timing, noting that it had been quite some time since he had seen Wild Hogs appear so early in a Hunt.

The Hog Hunters wasted no time taking their shots, managing to drop three pigs with precision and skill. The successful kills were a testament to the expertise and teamwork of the group, as they worked together seamlessly to secure their targets. After the initial flurry of action, the Hunters decided to explore additional fields in search of more game, but unfortunately, they did not come across any more Wild Pigs.

Despite not encountering any more Hogs later in the night, the three successful kills on the first field were enough to deem the Hog Hunt a great success. They celebrated their achievements, relishing in the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of their kills. It was a night filled with excitement and triumph, leaving the group with memories to cherish and stories to share for years to come.

Last night, Guide Capt Ben led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for Hog SWAT. The team was eager to Take Down Some Wild Hogs, and Ben was determined to deliver a Successful Hunt. As they ventured out into the darkness of the night, the anticipation and excitement were palpable.

After some Tracking and Scouting, they finally came across a Massive Sounder of over 25 Pigs. The team quickly got into position and took their shots, managing to take down one of the Large Boars. It was a Thrilling Hunt, with the team celebrating their victory.

But the excitement didn't stop there. As they were making their way back to base camp, they came across an unsuspecting Armadillo. With a round of cheers and laughter, the team decided to have some fun and explode the armadillo, adding an unexpected twist to an already eventful night.

Overall, it was a night to remember for the Hog SWAT Team, filled with Adrenaline-Pumping Hunting Action and camaraderie. Guide Capt Ben had once again proven his expertise and skill, leading the team to a Successful Hunting Trip under the starlit sky.

Guide Capt Ben led a 1 Night Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT and embarked on an Exciting Hunting Adventure in the northwest of Plains, Ga. They successfully located a Sounder of 15-20 Pigs and proceeded with a 400-Yard Stalk to get closer to their targets. Setting up for the Hunt, they took their shots and managed to nail 2 Large Pigs with the initial volley, as well as dropping 2 Piglets in the field. Despite their early successes, the group did not encounter any more Hogs after that. The night was filled with action and Skillful Hunting, showcasing Guide Capt Ben's expertise in leading Successful Hog Hunts with Hog Swat.

Guide Hank led a group on a 1 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. The Hog SWAT QRT (Quick Response Team) was deployed to dispatch some Pigs that night. Upon arriving at the first field, they spotted a Sounder in the middle and prepared to take their shots. The two Hunters lined up their shots and successfully took down two Hogs. Guide Hank positioned himself at a high spot to overlook the area for any more Downed Pigs, and spotted a Single Hog a couple of hundred yards away. They walked over to the Wild Hog and swiftly took it down. The Hunt proved to be a great success for the group led by Guide Hank.

Guide Hank said these Jersey devils were hungry for Hog Meat so they took a Hunting Trip to Georgia where they could slay some Hogs with us. The first field they pulled into was empty, so they moved on to the next field where they found a Solo Hog and were able to take it down. The next few fields they checked were also empty, but on their last stop of the night they circled back to the first field they had looked at and found a Sounder of 20+ Pigs.

It wasn't a question of whether there were Pigs in a field, but rather when they would show up. The group Stalked the Pigs as they moved through the field, getting closer as they grew more comfortable. However, one of the Wild Pigs started approaching them, causing the rest of the Sounder to follow. The Jersey devils quickly set up their gear and were able to take down 3 Pigs before the others ran off the field.

Jersey Devils seem to have gotten their fill on Bacon because they only got one Piggy on night 2. Running around all night looking for the Wild Pigs with one briefly spotted before it disappeared. Word must’ve got out that the devils were in town because they were all hiding. At 3am a sharp Hog was spotted so we pulled out a death warrant and had the Wild Hog sign it in exchange for some peanuts. Naturally the hog got shot and died. Didn’t anyone teach that pig you don’t make deals with the devil?

After the tornado watch and the lack of Wild Pigs they experienced the other night, last night was a much-welcomed success. They found their first Pig at 8:43pm and didn't show any mercy to the Wild Boar. All five guns hit the Hog, and they even fired another round just to be sure. Afterwards, they cruised around Plains, GA until we stumbled upon a Massive Boar, weighing around 250-300lbs. At first, I thought the Huge Boar had caught our scent, but as we walked back to the van, it emerged from the woods and headed straight towards us. I gave the signal, and we unleashed a barrage of shots on it! It was an Incredible Hunt. If you're interested, you can book a Hunt with us at Hog SWAT! Maybe you will get a 300lb Boar!
