This past weekend, Hog SWAT welcomed a lively group of 14 eager Hunters to South Georgia for an unforgettable Thermal Hog Hunting experience. With our commitment to providing personalized and Guided Hunts, we split the group into three smaller teams, each led by one of our expert guides: Hank, Clayton, and Kevin. Here’s a recap of each group’s thrilling night!

Guide Hank’s Group: A Night of Action and Success

Guide Hank had an exceptional night with his group, showcasing his skills and strategy in the field. After a slow start, the team encountered a Sounder of Hogs, which gave them a prime opportunity. With stealth, they approached within 70 yards, and with precision shots, they managed to drop six Wild Pigs in a matter of minutes!

Despite a failed group stalk earlier in the evening due to a chorus of yapping Coyotes that sent the Wild Hogs Running, Hank’s persistence paid off. The excitement and adrenaline during the Hog Hunt created an electric atmosphere, leaving Hunters thrilled with their success. A night filled with laughter, teamwork, and commendable shooting skills made for an unforgettable experience with plenty of stories to share.

While Guide Clayton and his group of five didn’t manage to take down any Hogs during their Hunt, their spirit and enthusiasm never wavered. The team spent the night diligently searching the fields, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Elusive Wild Hogs. Despite their lack of success, the group remained determined, engaging in lively discussions and bonding over their shared Passion for Hunting.

Clayton’s laid-back approach helped create a relaxed atmosphere, and while the Wild Hogs might not have cooperated this time, the experience was filled with camaraderie and enjoyable moments. We look forward to having these Hunters return for another chance to take to the fields – perhaps with a bit more luck next time!

Guide Kevin’s team of four finished the night with glowing success, successfully taking down one impressive Hog. As they navigated the South Georgia terrain, the thrill of the hunt kept spirits high. Hog SWAT is thrilled to share the exciting story of Guide Hank's recent Guided Hog Hunt, where he led a group of enthusiastic Hunters on an Unforgettable Hunting Adventure. As they celebrated a special birthday, the group was treated to a Thrilling Night of Hunting, with Guide Hank at the helm.

The night started off a bit slow, but Guide Hank's determination and expertise didn't waver. He remained focused on his mission until the early hours of the morning, driven by his motto: "I don't stop until it's daylight or I have Pigs." And, as fate would have it, his persistence paid off around 4am.

The group stumbled upon a Group of Hogs, and the Hunt was on! With precision and skill, they managed to take down two Wild Hogs, and then things got even more exciting. As they returned to their fallen mother, Guide Hank spotted two more Wild Hogs making their way back to claim their dead kin. The bonus round was on, and the group took down two more hogs, capping off an incredible night of Hunting.

The night was a resounding success, with Guide Hank's expertise and guidance leading the group to a truly unforgettable experience. It's no wonder that Hog SWAT is known for its exceptional Hunting Experiences – and this birthday celebration was just the icing on the cake!

Last night, Guide Capt Ben led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for the Hog SWAT team that was filled with unexpected twists and turns. As they set out into the rugged terrain, the team found themselves driving around in circles, trying to track down the elusive wild hogs. The frustration was mounting as they seemed to be going in circles and coming up empty-handed.

But just when it seemed like luck was not on their side, the Pig Gods must have taken pity on them. Suddenly, a Group of Pigs popped out from the bushes, catching the team by surprise. With adrenaline pumping, they quickly got into position and took their shots. Despite the initial struggles, the team managed to drop 4 out of the 10 Hogs they shot at, a decent success rate for the night.

Guide Capt Ben's expertise and determination had paid off once again, leading the team to a Successful Hunt despite the initial setbacks. It was a night filled with excitement, challenges, and ultimately, triumph. The Hog SWAT team had proven once again that with perseverance and a bit of luck, they could overcome any obstacle in their path.

2 PIG PILES 1 NIGHT

Guide Hank had some lethal company tonight. The first field they pulled into had Pigs and heavy rain. They shot and killed 6 Wild Pigs, with some on the run. Hank thought what they did was pretty awesome, so they decided to do it again. The second field they entered had a Sounder at the tree line. Approaching the Hogs with perfect wind, the group showed Hank that 6 wasn't just a fluke because they did it again, killing 6 more for a total of 12 Wild Hogs! These guys know how to have a good time and shoot with accuracy.

They checked several more fields to try and add to the number, but Guide Hank thinks the Hogs could sense these guys were nearby and made sure to stay clear of the Lethal Shooters. It was a great night of Hunting with these guys.

They struggled to find Pigs the first 4 hours of the Hunt, checking multiple fields. They finally pulled into a field where they spotted 2 Hogs. They started walking towards the Wild Hogs and found a Sounder past a high spot. They were able to maneuver around the other Wild Pigs and get close enough to shoot at the group. The guys killed 3 pigs! On the way off the field there was another pig minding his own business so they dropped the bags of meat they just butchered, and walked right up to the Solo Pig and took it down with the cadence shot. They totaled 4 pigs for the night!

These guys took down 4 Pigs and a Coyote. These 4 guys can crack jokes all night and still Slay Wild Hogs. They didn’t see any Wild Pigs on the 2nd field we checked, but had the opportunity to shoot a coyote, and they nailed him. Found a Sounder on the second field 4th field they checked. They set up and was able to take down 2 Wild Hogs. After that they dropped in on a nearby field, and snuck right up on a nice sized Solo Boar and ended him with the first shot. After they dragged the Wild Boar off the field they circled back and checked the same field they took down the first 2, and there were more pigs in the same spot! They pulled in once more to shoot a ton of Hogs but were only able to secure one more. I’m sure others died shortly after in the tree line. They have more slaughtering to do tomorrow night!

We scoured our best fields, Dairies, Peanut Farms, and Sorghum Fields in search of Wild Pigs. Despite the challenges, we persisted and eventually found a Sounder of 9 juvenile Hogs. Our slow and arduous Hunt yielded tender hams and juicy back-straps. It was a night of struggle, but our unwavering determination led us to success. That’s all that matters. It looks like Nick, Logan, and Christian had a successful Wild Hog Hunting Trip to Hog SWAT! On the first night, Guide Capt. Ben put them on a big group of Pigs and they were able to capture 3. On the second night, their determination paid off and they managed to bring down a total of 8 Wild Pigs during their 2 Night Hog Hunting sessions. With a total of 11 Hogs, Nick started to wonder if he had enough space in his freezer to store all the meat. This family also purchased the Hog Hunting Video Package, and they were amazing shots! These guys took down eleventeen Hogs last night - not 12, not 10, but eleventeen. After a slow first night of Thermal Hog Hunting with only 2 down, we made up for it with a more productive latest hunt, taking down 5 on our first encounter, followed by a Coyote and another 6 Wild Hogs by the end. Needless to say, we were ecstatic with our haul. I would have to say these guys are a crazy good shot. Lets see if anyone can beat thier record this year!

Our team also welcomed Rob and Anthony, who booked with us for Anthony's first ever Hog Hunt. It was a roaring success and we're grateful that he chose to make Hog SWAT his First Hunting Experience.
