At Hog SWAT, every Thermal Hunt is different, and this one led by Guide Kaleb proved that persistence and patience make all the difference. This wasn’t like the last few Guided Hog Hunts—it required hard work, determination, and the ability to adapt in the field.

The first field of the night looked promising with a single hog out in the open. Just as the stalk began, a vehicle pulled into the field and spooked the pig, sending it back into cover. From there, the night seemed to shift, and the fields filled mostly with deer. Around 1 a.m., another single hog appeared, but before the hunters could get set up, it slipped away into the night.

As hours passed, the team stayed focused, even when hope started to fade. By 4 a.m., many thought the Boar Hunt was over, but Kaleb wasn’t ready to quit. He knew that hogs often move late, and sure enough, just before 5 a.m., he spotted a pig moving across the field. Some mistook it for a deer, but Kaleb quickly confirmed it was time to gear up.

The stalk took them through tall corn, making visibility tough. Just as the hunters were preparing, the hog closed the distance and came within about 30 yards, locking eyes with the group. There was no time for a long setup—the team acted fast, and with precision, they had success.

The excitement of that moment turned what seemed like a slow night into one packed with adrenaline, teamwork, and a story these hunters will never forget.

Every Georgia Hog Hunt is unique, and this one reminded us that patience in the field is always rewarded. Hog SWAT’s Thermal Hunting Trips are about more than just the pursuit—they’re about the adventure, the strategy, and the memories made along the way.

Huge Boar

This Boar Hunt with Hog SWAT and Guide Kaleb was one for the books. Early in the evening, a Massive Boar was spotted in one of the first fields. After a quick stalk, the father, son, and daughter trio worked together to ensure this Wild Hog didn’t slip away. When the group walked up, it was clear just how impressive this boar was—by far one of the biggest Kaleb has ever put his hands on. For reference, standing next to the hog, one hunter at 5’8” was nearly the same length!

Not long after, the group moved into another field filled with deer. As they waited, another hog entered, giving them the perfect opportunity for a smooth stalk. The result was another Wild Boar on the ground, making the night even more memorable.

While the action slowed down after that, the highlights of the night had already been made. For the daughter, it was her very first hog, and she may just be hooked for life! It was a night full of memories, teamwork, and the kind of success that makes Thermal Hog Hunting in Georgia such an unforgettable adventure.

Under the Stars with Guide Hank:

A Wild Night in the Georgia Fields

Hog Hunting

Wild Hog Hunting

Every Hog Hunt has its own story, and some nights play out like a scene from a movie. On a recent Thermal Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT, Guide Hank led a group through an unforgettable night full of twists, turns, and the kind of unpredictable Wild Hog Action that keeps us coming back for more.

It all began around midnight when Hank spotted a Sounder in the distance. The team began a careful stalk, moving quietly through the Planted Field. But just as they were getting close, one sharp-eyed Pig caught a glimpse of movement and took off—leading the rest of the group deeper into the field.

Not ones to give up easily, Hank and the Hunters recalibrated and started a second approach. Confidence was high. Then, out of nowhere, two Coyotes came charging over the hill straight toward the Sounder Of Hogs. What could’ve ended the night actually turned into a wild advantage.

In a surprising twist, the Sows stood their ground and pushed back, creating a noisy standoff that distracted the group just long enough for Hank and the team to settle in and make the most of the opportunity. It was a moment that required patience, precision, and quick decision-making.

After that burst of action, the team continued scanning the fields until 4 a.m., soaking in the quiet beauty of rural South Georgia and the thrill of the chase. The night wrapped up with stories, laughs, and the satisfaction of a Wild Hog Hunt well executed.

Whether you’re a First-Time Hunter or a Seasoned Hunter , nights like these are what Hog SWAT is all about—real action, real strategy, and real memories.

First Night Out

A New Chapter Begins with Hog SWAT

Wild Hog Hunting

Photos: Hunting Wild Hogs @HogSWAT

There’s something exciting about a first—First Guided Hunt, first time under the stars with Thermal, or in this case, our newest Guide Caleb’s first night in the field. With experienced Guide Zev leading the way, this 1 Night Hog Hunt was more than just a Hog Hunt—it was the beginning of a new chapter for the Hog SWAT team.

Night Begins with a Success

Right out of the gate, things looked promising. As the van rolled into the very first field, Wild Pigs were already in position. The team quietly got into place, set up quickly, and made the most of the opportunity. Three Pigs were successfully brought in to new homes early in the evening, a great start for any Thermal Hog Hunt—and an awesome first experience for a guide-in-training.

A Quiet Finish and a Great First Step

After that initial success, the night slowed down. The team covered ground, scanned with Thermal Equipment, and stayed sharp, but the rest of the night belonged to deer and a few curious critters. While the action may have tapered off, the experience was anything but dull.

For Caleb, this first Guided Hog Hunt was a chance to see what Hog SWAT is all about—patience, precision, and making every moment in the field count. With Zev showing him the ropes, he’s already on the path to becoming an outstanding Hunting Guide.

More Than Just a Hunt

Every night in the field tells a Hunting Story, and this one marked the start of a new one. We’re proud to have Caleb on board, and we’re looking forward to many more successful nights with him leading the charge.

Fast-Moving Pigs

A Night Hunt with Hog SWAT

Some nights, the Pigs cooperate. Other nights, they keep you on your toes. On this Hog Hunt, Guide Hank led a group into the fields for a One-Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and the Wild Pigs weren’t making it easy.

Closing the Distance

With Thermal Equipment Scanning Fields, we spotted a group of about Sounder of 10 Hogs. The challenge? They were already on the move. When Hogs are covering ground quickly, every step counts. The key to success was getting as close as possible before they picked up speed and disappeared into the brush.

Making The Moment Count

We closed in carefully, timing our approach just right. When the moment came, the Hunters got there Wild Hogs before the rest of the group scattered. Fast-moving pigs is a challenge, and these guys handled it well.

The Thrill of the Chase

Hog Hunting is about reading the situation, adjusting to the Pigs’ Behavior, and making every moment count. This Wild Hog Hunt was a perfect example of that. When the Feral Hogs don’t stand still, you have to work for every opportunity.

Two Nights of Hog Hunting with Guide Zev

Mud, Miles, and Mayhem

Photo: Sleppy Piggy @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, every Guided Hog Hunt has its own story—sometimes it’s about the Pigs, sometimes it’s about the people. Guide Zev just wrapped up a 2 Night Hog Hunt that had a little bit of both… plus some unexpected entertainment.

Night 1:

When Max Steals the Show

The plan was simple—find Pigs, put clients on them, and start Stacking Hogs. But things took a turn when fellow Capt Max showed up early and handled business before Zev even arrived. “I would’ve gotten more pigs,” Zev said, “but Max had to show up early and assert dominance and took them all before I got there.”

With some Wild Hogs already taken care of, the night turned into more of a grind. Around 4 a.m., they finally caught up with a Lone Hog and made a solid Hunting Stalk—about 800 yards of slow, careful movement through the field. The payoff? Yes.

Oh, and then there was hunter who took an unexpected tumble in the middle of the field. No injuries, just a little extra dirt in the experience.

Night 2:

Don vs. the Mud Hole

Don was here to Hog Hunt. At some point during the night, he spotted a mud hole by accident and, made a full dive into it… This happens more than people think.

The results?

• One very muddy Don.

• One very dirty rifle.

• One hunter sitting in the van for the rest of the night.

Meanwhile, Zev put in the work, covering a lot of ground with his remaining Hog Hunters. They made a solid approach, but the Pigs got spooked before anything happened. Even though no Wild Pigs took a nap that night, the guys stayed chill, enjoying the challenge for what it was.

Final Tally:

A Hunt to Remember

Between Max stealing the action on Night 1, the long stalks, a surprise mud wrestling match, and plenty of miles covered, this two-Night Hunt was far from boring. And while Zev didn’t get the big numbers this time, the memories (and the mud) will definitely stick like Georgia Clay.

Sounder of 30 Wild Hogs

Thermal 3 Night Hog Hunt

Close Range Hog Hunting with Guide Zev

Hog Hunting is all about patience, skill, and taking advantage of the opportunities that come your way. Guide Zev recently led a Three-Night Hog Hunt that put his Hunters right in the middle of the action.

On one of the nights, the team found themselves inside 50 yards of a Massive Sounder—more than 30 hogs moving together through the fields. When the dust settled, there was success.

The last night, the team had another incredible opportunity.. The guys were great sports, but the long stalks had them a little out of breath. Sometimes, the excitement of the chase gets the best of even the most Seasoned Hunters! Though no Hogs photos were taken, the sheer number of Wild Pigs seen in one night was unbelievable.

Encounters like this are what make Thermal Hog Hunting so thrilling. Finding a Sounder that size is never guaranteed, and getting within range without getting busted takes experience and strategy. Though more hogs escaped into the night, the excitement of being that close and making successful moments for an Unforgettable Hunt.

Another great Hunting Trip in the books, and as always, the pigs won’t stay hidden for long. The next Hunt is just around the corner!

Hunt Recap:

Persistence Pays Off

Hunting Hogs

Photo: Wild Hog Hunts @HogSWAT

Some nights, the Pigs make you work. Guide Hank led a Hog Hunt that started slow—almost feeling like a burn. The team covered ground, checked field after field, and refused to call it quits.

Then, near the end of the night, persistence paid off. One of the last fields they checked had Wild Pigs. The Hunters geared up and moved in, ready to stalk the group. But as they closed the distance, a Lone Boar broke off and unknowingly walked straight toward them. With no way to maneuver around him and still get to the Sounder, things had to be done. Success.

One Hog napping for the night, but in the world of Thermal Hog Hunting, any successful stalk is a win. Some nights, the pigs pile up. Other nights, it’s about adapting, making the most of the opportunity, and proving that giving up is never an option.

Precision in the Dark

Some Hunters are just built differently. That was the case on a recent Wild Hog Hunt led by Hog SWAT Guide Zev, where a group of Hog Hunters with deep Amish roots put their skills to the test. Their great-grandfather may have been kicked out of the Amish, but their discipline, patience, and natural Hunting Instincts were still evident.

The team located a Solid Sounder that night, and the Hunters did amazing. They remained quiet and stealthy, moving with discipline even as the Thermal Equipment lit up the night like broad daylight. When the moment came, they wasted no time—4 pigs on the spot and touching at least six. Most hunters struggle to get more than two from a Sounder, but these guys handled it like professionals.

Thermal Hog Hunting with Hog SWAT:

Two Nights, Three Hogs Down

Thermal Hunting

Photo: Thermal Hunting @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, every Hog Hunt is about protecting farmland, experiencing the thrill of Thermal Hunting, and making memories along the way. Recently, Guide Zev led a 2 Night Hunt for a group of three Hog Hunters, and while the Pigs didn’t make it easy, the team got 3 Hogs by the end of the Hunting Trip.

Night 1:

One and Done

Boar Hunting

Photo: Boar Hunting @HogSWAT

The first night started like most Wild Hog Hunts—scanning fields with high-end thermal equipment, searching for signs of movement. Hogs are Nocturnal by nature, making them difficult to track, but with the right gear and Experienced Hunting Guides, Hunters get a huge advantage.

It didn’t take long before the team spotted a Lone Boar moving through a field, likely searching for food. Wild Hogs are responsible for millions of dollars in crop damage every year, tearing up fields, destroying root systems, and competing with livestock for resources. This was exactly the kind of Pig that needed to be taken out.

The Hunters set up, lined up their shot, and with a well-placed round, the Wild Boar was down. Despite covering more ground that night, no other Wild Pigs presented themselves. That’s the challenge of Wild Hog Hunting—sometimes you get into them quick, and sometimes they stay just out of reach.

Night 2:

More Pigs, More Action

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Got Em @HogSWAT

The second night brought more opportunities. This time, the group came across a Sounder of 4 Hogs moving through a field. Wild Pigs travel in groups, and when a Sounder is feeding, it’s the perfect chance to take out multiple animals at once. Before they all scatter.

With the element of surprise and Thermal giving them the advantage, the hunters got into position. When the dust settled, Two Hogs were down, while the others escaped into the brush. We’ve only seen a handful of full people be able to take out more than 3 Pigs out of a Sounder. Wild Boar Hunting is hard.

Why We Hunt

For these Hog Hunters, the Wild Hog Hunting Trip was about more than just the Thrill of the Hunt—it was about helping farmers protect their land from destructive wild hogs. With no natural predators and rapid reproduction rates, Hog Populations are out of control, making them one of the most damaging invasive species in the country.

That’s why Hog SWAT does what it does. Every Hog Hunt not only gives Hunters an Unforgettable Hunting Experience but also helps control the hog population, reducing farm destruction and supporting local farmers.

Two Nights in the Field:

A Hog Hunt with Zev

Hunting Wild Hogs at night is about patience, awareness, and learning how to move through the dark without giving yourself away. Guide Zev recently took a group of 3 Hunters out for a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the first night tested their persistence, the second night proved to be a lesson in both skill and success.

Night 1:

Tough Luck and Coyotes

The first night out, the Hogs were nowhere to be found. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting—some nights they’re out in force, and other nights they vanish like ghosts. To break up the slow night, we tried to set up on two separate Coyotes. But let’s just say… things didn’t go as planned. Between movement, positioning, and the learning curve of Night Hunting, things happen not how we planned.

Night 2:

Pigs Down and Lessons Learned

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hog Down @HogSWAT

Pig Hunts In Georgia

Photo: Sleepy Piggy @HogSWAT

With the frustration of night one behind them, the guys came back determined. It paid off early when we saw a Lone Pig, and success. But the real action came later in the night when we spotted a Sounder. This time, we moved better, stalked quieter, and moved without getting caught by Wild Hogs. When the moment came, they connected—one Pig Down from the group.

We did lots of walking. Moving through open fields during night isn’t the same as walking through the fields during the day. Every step has to be intentional, every movement controlled. By night two, they had it figured out.

In the end, two Wild Pigs took a nap, and these Hog Hunters walked away with more than just harvest—they left with a deeper understanding of the Thermal Hunt. And next time, those Coyotes might not be so lucky.

When it comes to Hog Hunting, no two nights in are ever the same, but every Thermal Hunt is an adventure. Guide Max recently led a 1 Night Hog Hunt with two brothers, Eric and Angel. For Angel, this was a special night—his First Hunt Ever.

The Wild Hog Hunt kicked off strong. As soon as they pulled into a field, they encountered a Sounder of Wild Hogs. Moving quickly, the group got into position. There was success, with one more making it into the trees.

After that first wave of action, the night slowed down, but that didn’t take away from the experience. The Pig Hunt wasn’t just about numbers—it was about the memories made in the field. For Angel, the rush of his First Hog Hunt and the thrill of the first success were moments he won’t forget.

Even on a slow night, Hog SWAT delivers. Thermal Equipment, Strategic Hunting, and the chance to Hunt alongside Experienced Hunting Guides make every Hunting Trip one to remember. Whether it’s your first hunt or your hundredth, there’s nothing quite like Hunting Wild Hogs under the cover of darkness.

Hog Hunting with the Family:

Rabbit Hunting

Not every Hog Hunt goes as planned, but every hunt tells a story. On a recent guided trip, Zev led a father and his two sons into the South Georgia night, searching for Wild Hogs under the cover of darkness. Ready with thermal and plenty of enthusiasm, they were ready for an adventure.

Early in the night, they spotted their first hog, but, but the pig took off into the brush, disappearing before they could get another chance. That’s how it goes sometimes - Wild Hogs are tough animals, and they can cover serious ground in an instant.

Despite the setback, the Wild Hog Hunt continued. The group stayed on the move, scanning fields and tree lines for their next opportunity. While the Wild Pigs managed to stay just out of reach, the boys did manage to get a rabbit. Their excitement over the small victory was undeniable, proving that sometimes it’s the little things that make a Thermal Hunt memorable.

By the end of the night, they may not have put a hog on the ground, but they walked away with a story to tell. That’s part of what makes a Hunt with Hog SWAT special it’s not just about the hog, it’s about the experience. And for this family, it was a night they won’t soon forget.

Hog Hunting in South Georgia is never predictable, and for this group of three Hunters, the night was a test of persistence. With Guide Zev leading the way, they covered plenty of ground in search of Wild Hogs, and by the end of the night, their efforts paid off.

A Tough Start

The Hog Hunt kicked off early with a Single Hog spotted in the distance. The Hog Hunters had success with a Tough Boar. Zev moved the group in closer, but the Hog, now spooked, disappeared into the darkness.

Miles on Foot, Pigs on the Move

Determined to find more targets, the group pushed on, covering a lot of ground in pursuit of another Sounder. They finally closed in, only to find the Wild Pigs had already moved out of sight by the time they got into position. It was a frustrating setback, but they weren’t giving up yet.

Success at Last

At 2 a.m., the persistence finally paid off. A new Sounder of Hogs was spotted, and this time, the Hunters wasted no time. Moving in quickly, and 2 Pigs, ending the night with a hard-earned victory.

Wild Hog Hunting

Hunting Wild Hogs in South Georgia is always unpredictable, and for this group of four Hunters, their two-Night Hunting Adventure with Hog SWAT’s Guide Zev was no exception.

Night One:

A Slow Start

The first night started with what Zev called “darkness” no Wild Hogs, no success. Despite the late hour, the sky never seemed to fully darken. The first opportunity came when they spotted pigs at 400 yards, but the Sounder spooked before they could close the distance. After hours of searching, Zev finally picked up movement through the trees at 4 a.m. South of a known field, at least 40 Pigs were feeding - just out of reach. It was a frustrating sight, but the night ended without a picture.

Night Two:

Action Heats Up

The second night started slow, but persistence paid off. Around 11 p.m., the group had success a Lone Hog. Later, they spotted a Sounder moving toward the van. With the wind at their backs, Zev knew they had to move fast. He quickly got the Hog Hunters ready and led them into position, flanking the group before the pigs could catch their scent.

As the Sounder of Hogs spread out, two Hogs wandered right into their path and spotted them. There was no choice. One Piggy instantly, while the other took a hit and ran. The night took an unexpected turn when the Pro Hunters mistook a possum for a charging hog and took it down as well - adding an unusual Hunting Trophy to the night’s count.

The Thermal Hunt isn’t without its challenges, but every trip is a learning experience. Zev made it clear that field discipline is crucial.

Wild Hog Hunting

At Hog SWAT, we know that Hog Hunting is as much about strategy and persistence as it is about skill. Some nights, the Pigs seem to vanish like ghosts. Other nights, everything comes together for an Adrenaline-Fueled Hunting showdown.

Recently, Guide Hank led a group of five Hunters on a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia. With the fields primed and the gear dialed in, the stage was set for an Action-Packed Hunt.

Night One:

A Tough Start

Hunting Wild Hogs is never predictable, and the first night proved just that. The group got into position on what looked like a promising setup, but the unpredictable nature of the wild took over. Just as things were getting interesting, a few deer spooked nearby, sending the Wild Pigs scattering before anything could happen.

Not ones to be discouraged, the Hog Hunters pressed on. Later in the night, they spotted more hogs moving through a field, but before they could close the distance, the Wild Hogs disappeared into a patch of tall cotton - gone as quickly as they had appeared. Despite the challenges, the group stayed determined.

Night Two:

Never Back Down

After a tough first night, the pressure was on. When Max, the Owner of Hog SWAT, gives you a lead on where to find Pigs, you listen - and that’s exactly what Hank and his hunters did.

With renewed focus, the team set up in a field that had been holding Wild Pigs. This time, everything fell into place. They spotted a Group of 7 Hogs and moved in. When hank said 3,2… and Hogs Scattered. Multiple Pigs took hits, but only one - a Big Sow. Success.

Great Success in the End

Even with a slow first night, the hunters left with a hard-earned victory. That’s the way it goes with Wild Hogs - some nights they win, but if you stay persistent, you’ll get your shot. Guide Hank put his crew in position to succeed, and they made it happen.

At Hog SWAT, we don’t quit. If you’re ready to test your skills on the toughest game in the Georgia, book your Guided Hog Hunt today. The Wild Pigs are out there - are you up for the challenge?

At Hog SWAT, we live for the thrill of the hunt. There’s nothing like scanning the fields under the cover of darkness, tracking down wild hogs with thermal optics, and putting our skills to the test. Our recent group of five Hunters got a firsthand experience of why a 2 Night Hog Hunt is the way to go.

Night One:

A Long Walk in the Dark

Guide Zev led the crew across five miles of farmland, scanning every field, every tree line, and every shadow for Wild Hogs. But that’s Hunting - some nights, the Pigs just don’t cooperate. We don’t sit in stands over bait piles. We go after them. That means some nights, even when you put in the work, the Wild Pigs don’t show up. But the Wild Hog Hunt doesn’t end there.

Night Two:

Redemption

The second night was a completely different story. Once the conditions lined up, the team got a few Wild Hogs, and even managed to snap a picture with three of them. There was also an unexpected guest - a possum - caught in the action for reasons unknown, maybe he wanted to see what all the commotion was about… lol.. Just another night in South Georgia.

This group came ready for the Thermal Hunt, and they got what they came for. The wild card?

Why Two Nights?

1 Night Hog Hunts are a gamble. You might get lucky, or you might cover five miles without a shot. But on a Two-Night Hog Hunt, you increase your chances of success. We can’t promise a hog every time - that’s real Wild Hog Hunting - but we can promise that we’ll put in the work to make it happen.
