Guide Hank led a 2 Night Hog Hunt, where he and the group embarked on two eventful nights of Hunting at Hog SWAT.

On the first night, they managed to take down 3 Big Bo Big Boars, all shot in the same group. The Successful Hunt resulted in a substantial amount of meat for the group, and everyone celebrated the great success of the evening.

The second night began with the group spotting a Solo Boar on the second field they visited. Despite getting a shot off, the Wild Boar was elusive and slipped away into the tall grass. However, their luck turned around later in the night when they encountered a Massive Boar weighing over 250 lbs. The Hunters successfully took down the Trophy Boar, choosing to preserve its head for a euro mount.

Guide Hank was delighted with the outcome of both nights, as the group experienced Thrilling Hunts and secured valuable trophies. Reflecting on the successful 2-Night Hunting Adventure, Hank looked forward to leading more Exciting Hunts in the future at Hog Swat.

Hunting In Georgia

Guide Hank led a 1 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. The night started off slow until about 2am when some Pigs were spotted in a tricky spot. A gunshot went off in the distance, causing the Wild Pigs to move from the ideal angle for a shot. The Hogs unknowingly moved closer to the Hunters, coming within 20-30 yards. They quickly noticed the Hunters and ran off before any shots could be taken. Despite their quick escape, no Piggies were taken down this time.

Hank then led the group to the next best field, where a huge sounder of pigs was on the move. The Hunters followed closely, trying to get into position. One Wild Hog curiously approached the them, and they swiftly took aim and dropped it with a single shot each. The rest of the pigs narrowly escaped with their lives.

It was a night of Great Hunting, with Skilled Hunters and a successful outcome. Hank's guidance and the hunters' sharp shooting led to a memorable and Successful Hunt.

Hunting In The Dark

On the first night of Hog Hunting in March for Hog SWAT led by Guide Capt Ben, a group of guys embarked on a Wild Hog Hunt in South Georgia. Despite a slow start to the evening, the team remained optimistic throughout the Hunt.

Setting up on six Hogs, they were only able to hit two Wild Hogs. However, Guide Capt Ben and the group persevered, checking various fields until they were exhausted. What started as a dull evening turned out to be a memorable experience for the Hunters, who demonstrated determination and teamwork in the face of unexpected challenges. Here's to more exciting and Successful Hunts with Guide Capt Ben at the helm of Hog SWAT.

Words From Guide Capt Ben:

New Jersey’s finest. These fellas dropped the hammer on the Hogs tonight. Our first field appeared desolate at first. As we made our way out of the field however, 9 Pigs charged out of the woods and almost directly at the Hog Hunting Van. With the full moon, they easily saw the van. We kept a cool head and didn’t move a muscle, didn’t utter but a few whispers. Two of the Wild Hogs were very curious about this 12’ tall jet black van that was sitting in their cornucopia walking up to about 60 feet from the van. They darted away but calmed back down. After about 15 minutes of silently watching the Hogs we deemed them calm and with the utmost sound discipline, moving slowly, we set up our gear on the opposite side of the van. The hunters set up nearly shoulder to shoulder. We could see the hogs with our naked eye, meaning they could see us in turn. 3, 2, bang! 4 Hogs dropped immediately and several others were hit. In the fray one Hog got back up and started running for it’s life. We took shots on it, but the Swine had a strong will to live. We ended up with a Sow, Boar and Gilt yielding some excellent Wild Hog Meat and a nice Trophy Hog Head.

Our next go round took place on our third choice field. We spotted what almost looked like a Raccoon with its hind quarters high in the air. The guide disembarked from the van to get a closer look. The raccoon quickly turned into a Big Boar that was deep in the wallows it had been rooting all night. We set out on a 700 Yard Stalk and due to the intensity of the moonlight, took our shots from about 175 yards. The hog didn’t stand a chance, and after losing one that played opossum on our last go round, we gave this boar no quarter. A nice 250lb Boar, another Trophy Boar Head. Good shooting with these SWAT Boys. New Jersey is in good hands!

On the second night of their Hog Hunt, they started off hot and found 6 Pigs in their second choice field. After a short Stalk down the access road, they set up and dropped 4. After Butchering the Hogs, they drove around looking for more but unfortunately, some things that start with a bang end with a whimper.

Hunting Wild Hogs

They struggled to find Pigs the first 4 hours of the Hunt, checking multiple fields. They finally pulled into a field where they spotted 2 Hogs. They started walking towards the Wild Hogs and found a Sounder past a high spot. They were able to maneuver around the other Wild Pigs and get close enough to shoot at the group. The guys killed 3 pigs! On the way off the field there was another pig minding his own business so they dropped the bags of meat they just butchered, and walked right up to the Solo Pig and took it down with the cadence shot. They totaled 4 pigs for the night!

Blonde Boar

They found their first Pig in a Cotton Field. It was a tough Stalk due to the low light conditions and the noisy crop. They ended up getting a very spirited Boar who decided to charge at them instead of run away with the others. Afterwards, they covered a ton of ground looking for some more Hogs until they finally found a nice Big Blonde Boar. The Wild Hog was situated at the very top of a high crest which made things difficult, however they got it done!

Wow, these guys are truly Skilled Hog Hunters! Despite a long drive past Albany, their second night of Hunting was just as successful as the first. The first field they arrived at had approximately a dozen Pigs, and they were able to take down 2 Large Boars. Moving on to a nearby field, they encountered around 20 Wild Hogs and successfully took down 3 Piglets. It was a thrilling experience for everyone involved, and the group managed to bag a total of 15 Wild Hogs in just 2 nights. These Hunters clearly know what they're doing, and it sounds like a fantastic time was had by all!

After checking several fields, they came across a Sounder of 13 Wild Hogsgs. With the wind swirling and highly unpredictable, they rolled the dice and began their Stalk. The Pigs were a little preoccupied with rooting peanuts to notice them Stalking to about 80 yards. They dropped a nice 100lb Hog and a 40lb piglet, which yielded them a nice pile of Wild Hog Meat. They then went out to several more fields before finding 4 Juvenile Pigs. The Hogs were in a low brush, which made the shooting difficult, but they let them have it. After the dust settled, they scored an 80lb Sow. They kept looking for Wild Pigs but ran out of time. Let’s see what tomorrow bears for these Hunters and their Hunt For Hogs. Maybe they will have better luck and find a bigger Group of Pigs or a Trophy-Sized Boar. We will have to wait and see what fate has in store for them on the next Hunting Excursion.

The Muddy Hogs

After overcoming a few slight delays, we ventured towards our swampy fields in eager anticipation of the Hunt. With utmost caution, we cautiously traversed the field and were thrilled to spot numerous Deer on our Thermals. However, our persistence paid off when we discovered a small Sounder nestled deep within the sorghum, hidden in a low spot.

Undeterred by the challenging conditions, which included traversing 750 yards of muddy terrain and navigating through noisy cut sorghum, we valiantly pursued our quarry. Skillfully setting up our Hunting Tripods in complete silence, we took aim at a magnificent Sow and her brood. The tension mounted as we counted down, "3, 2, BANG!" Suddenly, the Pigs darted away in a bewildering display of erratic movement, seemingly unsure of their destination.

With our prized catches secured, we remained alert and vigilant throughout our journey. Just as we were about to depart, fate smiled upon us, revealing a magnificent 200 lb Boar boasting menacing 2-inch Tusks. Torn between charging us or making a mad dash towards the tree line, the Boar hesitated, spinning in circles as we took aim. It was a decisive moment, and we made the daunting choice for him, swiftly ending his existence in the muddy ground.

In the end, our expedition proved to be an Unforgettable Boar Encounter filled with exhilarating moments. The thrill of the hunt was complemented by the delectable meats harvested, providing a truly Unique Hunting Adventure that will forever be etched in our memories. The night started with the sighting of a solo Boar. They managed to kill it about 50 yards away. While taking pictures, they heard more Pig noises and decided to investigate. They moved up the hill and discovered a Sounder of over 25+ Hogs wandering around.

Excited by the opportunity, they shot and killed 5 more Wild Pigs from the sounder. Altogether, this resulted in a thrilling and Successful Hunting night with a total of 11 Hogs taken down (I count the one that passed in the woods). Book a Wild HogHunt today! Experience the thrill of a Thermal Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT with Guide Luke (Hank). On his recent expedition, he took these guys out on thier second Night of Hunting and they encountered a Handicapped Pig that they named peg leg, with a missing Hoof. Determined to turn his tripod stance into a bipod, they successfully took down peg leg.

But the excitement didn't end there. They spotted a Sounder of Pigs in a challenging location, just in front of a valuable pivot. With the risk of a costly mistake, they managed to fire some shots, hitting the Wild Hogs before they crossed over to the pivots, yet unfortunately, they managed to escape the field.

Tim's final Hog Hunt with Hog SWAT ended on a successful note. The first field they went to had bad wind conditions, so they decided to wait in the warm van and let the Pigs move into a more favorable position. However, their plans were foiled when a dog chased the Wild Pigs away from the field. Frustrated with the situation, they moved on to another field where a Sounder (a group of Hogs) was causing damage to a dairy pasture.
