At Hog SWAT, we specialize in offering thrilling Thermal-Guided Hog Hunts that create memories to last a lifetime. Over the weekend, one of our skilled guides led a 1-Night Hog Hunt that turned out to be an exciting and successful adventure for all involved.

The Hunt Begins:

A Stealthy Approach

The Hog Hunt kicked off with a careful and stealthy stalk of a Single Hog, but unfortunately, it managed to slip away before they could get into position. While it was a bit of a setback, it didn’t deter the team for long.

A Game-Changing Discovery

Not long after, the guide spotted a Sounder—a group of wild hogs—and the Wild Hog Hunt was back on track. With the help of Thermal , they were able to get into position and ensure that everyone got their chance to experience the thrill of the Thermal Hunt.

By the end of the night, the Wild Hog Hunt was a major success, with 3 Hogs successfully harvested. The team walked away with a sense of satisfaction and excitement, having made the most of their time in the field.

Whether you’re a Seasoned Hunter or new to the world of Thermal Guided Hunts, Hog SWAT ensures an Unforgettable Hunting Experience. Book your next Hog Hunting Adventure with us and see for yourself why we’re one of the best hog hunting outfitter the business!

Two Nights in the Field:

A Hog Hunt with Zev

Hunting Wild Hogs at night is about patience, awareness, and learning how to move through the dark without giving yourself away. Guide Zev recently took a group of 3 Hunters out for a 2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the first night tested their persistence, the second night proved to be a lesson in both skill and success.

Night 1:

Tough Luck and Coyotes

The first night out, the Hogs were nowhere to be found. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting—some nights they’re out in force, and other nights they vanish like ghosts. To break up the slow night, we tried to set up on two separate Coyotes. But let’s just say… things didn’t go as planned. Between movement, positioning, and the learning curve of Night Hunting, things happen not how we planned.

Night 2:

Pigs Down and Lessons Learned

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Pig Hunts In Georgia

Photo: Sleepy Piggy @HogSWAT

With the frustration of night one behind them, the guys came back determined. It paid off early when we saw a Lone Pig, and success. But the real action came later in the night when we spotted a Sounder. This time, we moved better, stalked quieter, and moved without getting caught by Wild Hogs. When the moment came, they connected—one Pig Down from the group.

We did lots of walking. Moving through open fields during night isn’t the same as walking through the fields during the day. Every step has to be intentional, every movement controlled. By night two, they had it figured out.

In the end, two Wild Pigs took a nap, and these Hog Hunters walked away with more than just harvest—they left with a deeper understanding of the Thermal Hunt. And next time, those Coyotes might not be so lucky.

From Coyotes to Hogs:

A Three-Night Thermal Hunt with Guide Zev

Not every Hog Hunt goes as planned, but that’s what makes it exciting. Guide Zev recently led a 2 Night Hog Hunt for a group of three Hunters, and it turned into an adventure they won’t forget.

Night One:

When the Hogs Don’t Show, the Coyotes Will

Coyote Hunting

Photo: Predator Hunting @HogSWAT

The first night, the hunters covered ground, scanning field after field, but the Hogs weren’t moving. That’s when the hunt took an unexpected turn - a Coyote stepped into range.

Thermal Hog Hunt? Not quite. Predator Hunt? Absolutely.

If you’ve never Hunted Coyotes, you’re missing out. These fast, Elusive Predators make for an exciting challenge, and the Hog Hunters made the most of the opportunity. First success of the Hunting Trip.

Night Two:

Back on Track

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Down @HogSWAT

With a Coyote but no Wild Hogs yet, night two was all about redemption. Guide Zev put in the work, adjusting tactics and covering new ground. Then, finally - Pigs on the move.

The Coyote Hunters wasted no time, and success a Wild Hog. Just like that, the hunt was back on track.

The Challenge of Thermal Hog Hunting

Hog Hunting with Thermal is one of the most exciting and challenging hunts you’ll find. Wild Hogs are smart, tough, and unpredictable. Some nights, they keep you guessing. Other nights, you’re right on top of them. That’s what makes it Thermal Hunting.

At Hog SWAT, we know the game. Whether it turns into a Coyote Hunt or we’re chasing down pigs, every Wild Hog Hunt is an adrenaline-packed adventure. Book your Guided Hog Hunt today and see for yourself!

Hunting Bobcats

Hog SWAT

A Wild Night in the Fields:

Hog Hunting… and a Bonus Bobcat!

At Hog SWAT, every Night Thermal Hunt is unpredictable. Some nights, the Hogs cooperate. Other nights, Mother Nature and the wild have different plans. Guide Hank recently led a group of four Hunters on a 1 Night Guided Hunt, and while the Wild Hogs played hard to get, the night still ended with a big success - including an unexpected Predator Encounter.

The Hunt Begins:

Close Calls and Tough Breaks

The first stalk of the night looked promising, but the wind wasn’t in there favor. A sharp-nosed hog caught there scent and was gone before anything could happen. On the second stalk, the team managed to connect with a Pig, but it made it into the woods before we could recover it for a picture - an unfortunate but common reality in Wild Hog Hunting.

Third Stalk:

An Unlikely Guest Appears

By the third setup of the night, the Hog Hunters were locked in and ready to go. They had just about closed the distance on a group of pigs when, out of nowhere, a Bobcat decided to crash the party - spooking the hogs and taking their place in the field.

With the Wild Pigs gone, the group quickly shifted gears. Everyone was on board with the new plan on the predator, the bobcat had its picture taken. This wasn’t just any bobcat - it was a perfect specimen, and the Bobcat Hunters decided it would make an awesome mount to remember the Bobcat Hunt.

Great Success in the End

While the night didn’t go exactly as planned, that’s what makes Thermal Hunting so exciting. Wild Hogs may have been the target, but the unexpected Trophy Bobcat of the night turned out to be a Beautiful Bobcat, making for an Unforgettable Hunting Experience.

Welcome Back, Guide Wes!

A Father-Son Thermal Hunt in South Georgia

Big news at Hog SWAT - Guide Wes is back! If you’ve Hog Hunted with us in the past, you might remember Wes from a while back. With things getting crazy busy this Hog Hunting Season, he’s returned to help us put more Hunters on Hogs, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him back in action!

Wes wasted no time getting back in the game, leading a 2 Night Hog Hunt for a Father-and-Son Hunting Duo looking for a Wild Hog Adventure. And let’s just say, things didn’t go exactly as planned - but that’s what makes Hunting so unpredictable and fun.

Night One:

Surprise! It’s a Coyote Hunt

Coyote Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting or Coyote Hunting? @HogSWAT

Thermal Hunting Coyotes

Photo: Coyote Down @HogSWAT

The first night started off with high hopes for Wild Hogs, but as any Seasoned Hunter knows, the night can take unexpected turns. Instead of Piggies, the father and son found themselves locked in on a different target - a Coyote. With a well-placed shot, they took down a nice one, proving that you never know what you’ll run into on a Night Hunt in South Georgia.

Night Two:

Hog Hunting is Back!

Hog Hunting

Photo: There Is The Piggies!! @HogSWAT

After an unexpected Coyote Hunt the night before, the pressure was on to put some Pigs on the ground. Wes got the team into a solid setup, and this time, the Hogs cooperated. By the end of the night, they had three Wild Hogs Down - a solid way to wrap up their Thermal Hog Hunt.

A Hunt to Remember

Hunting is all about the experience, and these two got the full package - Thermal Equipment, surprise Predators, and a solid Pig takedown on night two. We hope they had as much fun as we did, and maybe we’ll see them back in Georgia for another round of Thermal Hunting!

If you’re ready for your own Hunting Adventure, book a Hunt with Hog SWAT today. You never know what you’ll encounter in the fields, but one thing’s for sure - you won’t forget it!

Thrilling Night of Thermal Hog Hunting with Hog SWAT

Photo: Hunting @HogSWAT

If you’re looking for an Adrenaline-Filled Hunting in South Georgia, Hog SWAT has you covered! Last night, our expert Guide Hank led a group of Hunters into the field for an Unforgettable Hunting Experience in Thermal Hog Hunting. With a mix of challenge, teamwork, and a few unexpected moments, it was a night that certainly delivered on the excitement.

Hank described the crew as one of the easiest-going groups he’s encountered this season, which set the tone for an enjoyable outing. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the Thermal Equipment lit up the night, giving us a unique glimpse into the hidden world of Feral Hogs.

The Hunt Begins

Photo: It’s Just Sleeping @HogSWAT

Things kicked off with a sighting of a Wild Hog that just wouldn't sit still. In the heat of the moment, we jumped out of the van, no tripods — the excitement that comes with Thermal Hunting! As we approached the target, it spooked and bolted. Hank reported them touching the Pig two or three times, but it expectedly took off, moving at a leisurely yet determined pace almost 300 yards away.

The Chase is On

Hank assessed the situation. The Wild Pig was edging dangerously close to a pivot area, which would cut off our chance to get another chance. Time was of the essence, and in a split-second decision, Hank ensured everyone safely got into a position where he could to chase it down. Running 400 yards, he leapt a ditch, fueled by the desire to ensure the Wild Hog Hunt didn’t escape us.

Photo: You Can Run But You Can’t Hide @HogSWAT

Exhausted yet focused, Hank closed the distance, only to find that the pig had tapped into its last reserves of energy. In a final push, he sprinted towards it, as he got within 50 yards of the brush where the Wild Hog was heading. The climax of the run culminated in a decisive moment as Hank got the Hog, marking a hard-fought success.

A Bit More Excitement

But the fun didn’t end there! On the way off the field, success followed us as we managed to find two Rabbits. It appears that the night held more surprises for us than just the Hog Hunt.

While we didn’t spot any additional game after that, the thrill of the chase and the bond created among the Hog Hunters made it a night to remember.

Night 1: A Successful Start

As the sun dipped below the horizon on their first night, Hank positioned Jason and Trenton in a prime area known for its Hog Activity. Their patience paid off, and before long, the duo bagged a total of four Wild Hogs! It’s a testament to their skills as Top-Notch Shooters that they not only made accurate shots but also had the know-how to Field Dress their own Hogs.

We have a fantastic picture of Jason and Trenton proudly standing with their impressive haul, showcasing the fruits of their labor.

After a thrilling start to the Hog Hunt, the team continued to scout the area, hoping for more action. Although no additional hogs came into sight, the excitement of the night left everyone with stories to share and a great sense of accomplishment.

We couldn't help but capture a moment of the duo in action, expertly skinning their hogs under the evening sky.

Night 2: Stalking Success

As night fell for the second time, Jason and Trenton were eager to finish their Wild Hog Hunt on a high note. Hank had spotted a Big Boar and was confident they'd add to their impressive tally. However, as they stalked toward the Wild Boar, an unexpected Deer blew, scaring off their primary target and leading them on a chase.

But luck was on their side. Just as they thought the night was going to be a bust, another Wild Pig appeared in the field. With Hank's guidance, they quickly adapted their strategy and sneaked up on it. A well-placed shot later, and they had successfully added one more Hog to their collection!

Conclusion: Memorable Memories

While every Hunting Trip offers its share of surprises, it’s the friends we make and the experiences we share that make each outing truly special. Jason and Trenton left Hog SWAT with not just a bounty of hogs, but also a wealth of memories and a few new Hunting tales to tell.

With fantastic shooting skills and the ability to field dress their own game, these Hunters exemplify everything that makes a successful Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. We can't wait to welcome them back for another Hunting Adventure!

Two-Night Hunting Adventure

Photo: Wild Hog Hunting @HogSWAT

At Hog SWAT, we pride ourselves on delivering Unforgettable Hunting Experiences in The Great Outdoors, and our recent 2 Night Hog Hunting Trip led by our expert Guide Hank was no exception. With adrenaline pumping and dreams of Wild Hogs dancing in their heads, our group set out for an adventure that turned out to be a true test of perseverance and skill.

Night One: A Lesson in Patience

As the sun dipped below the horizon on our first night, expectations ran high. With our gear prepped and the thrill of the Hunt ahead, they settled into the van, light filtering in from our Thermal optics from the van. However, it quickly became apparent that this Hunt was going to require more patience than anticipated.

The night was still, and after hours of waiting, they finally spotted movement—a curious Coyote wandering through the brush. Excitement surged through the group, but the sly creature caught wind of them and made a quick escape. Shots were fired, but they knew it was just a practice run, setting the stage for the bigger Hunt ahead.

Despite their best efforts, the first night passed with no Pig sightings and not a single photograph to show for it. Tired but undeterred, our group huddled together to share stories, refuel, and rekindle their resolve for the next night. After all, Hunting is as much about the journey as it is about the destination.

Night Two: The Sweet Taste of Success

With renewed vigor and unwavering determination, the second night arrived. Our group knew that great rewards often require hard work, and they were ready for the challenge. Under Hank’s expert guidance, they roamed farther and waited longer, meticulously scanning the landscape with thermal for any sign of their quarry.

As the hours dragged on, the anticipation built. Just as our spirits were beginning to wane, the unmistakable sight of a Wild Hog caught their attention. The atmosphere shifted instantly; hearts raced, and every breath seemed amplified in the stillness of the night.

After a cautious but focused approach, the moment arrived. With precision and skill that Guide Hank had instilled in them, the shot was taken, and patience finally paid off—a successful kill! The thrill of victory washed over the group.

The experience of tracking, waiting, and ultimately Securing a Wild Hog encompassed everything we love about Hunting—adventure, comradeship, and a deep respect for nature.

Looking Forward to More Adventures with Hog SWAT

As the night came to an end and they wrapped up this exhilarating 2 Night Hog Hunt, it was clear that the experience was more than just a Hunt; it was about camaraderie, stories shared under starlit skies, and the thrill of the chase.

Our group's enthusiasm for Hog Hunting has only grown, and we sincerely hope to welcome them back for more adventures at Hog SWAT. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned pro, we are here to provide the thrill of Thermal Hog Hunting combined with unmatched expertise and experience.

Get ready to join us again—there are more Wild Hogs out there, and we can’t wait to see you in the field! Until next time, happy hunting!

After a patient wait, the group finally got on a group of Pigs around 3:30 am, marking a significant breakthrough in the Hunt. 1 Night Boar Hunts

Guide Hank recently led a Wild Hog Hunt for Hog SWAT, where the group encountered some challenges but ultimately achieved success. Hank recalls spotting Pigs on the second field, only for them to quickly disappear into tall brush, making it difficult to track their movements. Undeterred, the group pressed on and ventured further into the field, but unfortunately, they did not come across any more Wild Pigs.

As the group was preparing to leave the field, the Hogs unexpectedly reappeared, giving them another chance to make a move. Hank and the Hunters swiftly approached the Wild Hog, taking their shot and successfully bringing down a good Boar. The group was thrilled with their kill, especially as they were able to take home a prized skull from the Hunt.

Although they only managed to get one Pig that night, the Hog Hunt was still considered a great success by Guide Hank and the rest of the group. The thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of a successful kill made the Boar Hunt an unforgettable experience for all involved. It was a night of perseverance and reward, showcasing the skills and determination of the Hog Hunters led by Guide Hank.

Last night, Guide Capt Ben led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for the Hog SWAT team that was filled with unexpected twists and turns. As they set out into the rugged terrain, the team found themselves driving around in circles, trying to track down the elusive wild hogs. The frustration was mounting as they seemed to be going in circles and coming up empty-handed.

But just when it seemed like luck was not on their side, the Pig Gods must have taken pity on them. Suddenly, a Group of Pigs popped out from the bushes, catching the team by surprise. With adrenaline pumping, they quickly got into position and took their shots. Despite the initial struggles, the team managed to drop 4 out of the 10 Hogs they shot at, a decent success rate for the night.

Guide Capt Ben's expertise and determination had paid off once again, leading the team to a Successful Hunt despite the initial setbacks. It was a night filled with excitement, challenges, and ultimately, triumph. The Hog SWAT team had proven once again that with perseverance and a bit of luck, they could overcome any obstacle in their path.

Guide Hank led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for Hog SWAT and wrote about the experience. The night started with only spotting a few Deer on the first three fields checked. However, things picked up when they came across two Sounders In A Field. As they approached the first Sounder, the Pigs quickly retreated into the trees, making it difficult to get a clear shot. Moving on to the Second Sounder on the other side of the field, they were able to get within 120 yards of the Wild Pigs and successfully took down three, one of which was a Large Pig weighing over 200 pounds. The group managed to gather a good amount of meat and some impressive Boar Tusks from the Hunt. Overall, everyone enjoyed the night and had a successful Hunting Trip.

13 Wild Hogs In One Night!

Photo: Best Hog Hunting In Georgia @HogSWAT

Guide Hank led a 2 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT, with an eventful Night 1 filled with excitement and success. The evening started off with a Guide Hank’s personal Record-Breaking Hunt, as a total of 13 Wild Hogs were taken down much to the delight of the two Hunters. The night began with a fruitful hunt on the first field, where 4 Wild Pigs were dropped with multiple shots. After a brief lull on the next field, the group unexpectedly encountered a Sounder of Pigs while on the lookout for a Coyote. Opting to target the Pigs instead, they successfully shot 2 more.

As the Hunters celebrated their kills and took photos, Guide Hank heard a strange noise in the distance, prompting him to turn off the lights. This led to a surprising opportunity as Piglets from the earlier deceased mother returned to the field, allowing for a quick and efficient takedown of 8 more piglets, tying his personal record of 12. To everyone's amazement, a 13th piglet was spotted on Thermal Imaging, hidden in a hole and barely visible. With this unexpected addition, the night concluded on a high note of success and accomplishment.

Unfortunately, Night 2 did not bring the same level of excitement as no sightings were made, leading the group to head back around 4:30am. Despite the quiet evening, the Hunters were grateful for the action-packed experience of the previous night, showcasing their skill and determination in the Hunt. Guide Hank led a memorable and eventful Hog Hunt, with both highs and lows but ultimately leaving a lasting impression on all involved.

Photo Night 2: Hunting Is A Passion! @HogSWAT

Guide Capt Ben recently led a Group Of Hunters on a 2 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. On the first night, they encountered their first Hog on the second field, a Wild Boar located about 200 yards into the field. After a Successful Stalk, the Hunters set up and were able to bring down the Wild Boar with just one volley of shots, showcasing their excellent shooting skills. Later in the evening, they found a Sounder Of Hogs hiding in the tree line, necessitating precision shots to avoid any collateral damage. After patiently waiting for a Sow to enter the field, they were able to take their shot and successfully dropped two Pigs, ending the night on a high note.

The second night brought its own challenges and adventures, starting with a Lone Boar in their first field. Despite having to take their shots from a long distance due to limited moonlight, they managed to catch the Boar before it ran off bleeding. Moving on to another field, they scouted a Large Sounder of Hogs hiding in the trees. While waiting for them to emerge, the Hogs remained elusive. However, they soon located another Sounder and decided to merge the two groups, with each Hunter taking their shot on the Hogs together. After some field checks, the night concluded with a Successful Hunt and memories to last a lifetime.

Guide Capt Ben recently led a group of Hunters on a 1 Night Hog Hunt for Hog SWAT, making it a memorable Hunting Bachelor Trip for the participants. The Hunt itself proved to be challenging as they encountered a group of Small Hogs, the size of which was up for interpretation - were they small or huge? You decide.

The first field held a couple of nice-sized Boars. The Stalk was muddy and wet, but fortunately, the rain had given way. They closed to about 60 yards when we set up and fired a volley. Nailed ‘em! That was the easy part. Afterward, they dragged our pigs about 400 yards through the mud until they could finally hitch them to the Hog Van and get them to the Hog dump. Then proceeded onto a few more fields and didn’t find much luck. Eventually, at a large peanut field, they found 6 Smaller Pigs; however, the wind switched up on them and they got spooked. They headed down the road a bit and immediately saw about 20 Wild Pigs in a Large Sounder. As they got close, it became apparent that there were more like 50+ Hogs in a Mega Sounder! These Pigs had no idea what was coming, and we fed them lead. After the dust settled, our Hunters got exactly what they wanted: 8 Suckling Pigs for a total of 10 downed throughout the night!
