Guide Hank led a 1 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. The night started off slow until about 2am when some Pigs were spotted in a tricky spot. A gunshot went off in the distance, causing the Wild Pigs to move from the ideal angle for a shot. The Hogs unknowingly moved closer to the Hunters, coming within 20-30 yards. They quickly noticed the Hunters and ran off before any shots could be taken. Despite their quick escape, no Piggies were taken down this time.

Hank then led the group to the next best field, where a huge sounder of pigs was on the move. The Hunters followed closely, trying to get into position. One Wild Hog curiously approached the them, and they swiftly took aim and dropped it with a single shot each. The rest of the pigs narrowly escaped with their lives.

It was a night of Great Hunting, with Skilled Hunters and a successful outcome. Hank's guidance and the hunters' sharp shooting led to a memorable and Successful Hunt.

Overall, it was a highly Successful Hunt, with a total of 6 Wild Hogs taken down. Hank's expertise and leadership played a crucial role in the success of the night's hunt.

Guide Hank led a group of eager Hunters on a 1 Night Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT. With a father and his two sons in tow, the Hunt promised to be an exciting adventure in the wilderness.

As the night unfolded, Guide Hank found himself doing a lot of walking, scouting the field for any signs of Wild Hogs. To his delight, the Pigs walked out in front of him, presenting the perfect opportunity for a successful Hog Hunt. Guide Luke had to think on his feet and sneak around the Swine to make his way back to the Hunting Van, where he prepared the Hunters for their mission.

With the Hunters ready and armed, Luke led them back out into the field and successfully took down a Pig. The group decided to call it a night after that, opting to rest up for their drive home in the morning. It was a night of great success for Guide Luke and his team, as they bonded over their shared love for hunting and the thrill of the chase.

2 Night Hog Hunting

Guide Hank led a group of Hunters on a 2 Night Hog Hunt in South Georgia at Hog SWAT.

Night 1 started off with a touch of rain, but it didn't deter the group. As they pulled into the first field, it took a moment to spot the Wild Pigs due to the large size of the area. The rain added an element of challenge as they worked towards the Wild Hogs, using a smaller tree and brush for cover. Waiting patiently along the brush, they couldn't risk coming around the corner and Winding the Pigs. When the Hogs started moving towards them, they quickly got set up and took their shots from across the brush, successfully landing 5 Pigs. Despite searching for more, no other Hogs were found that night. A great success overall.

Night 2 brought more excitement as they geared up to walk over to a Pig, but the Wild Pig decided to come to them instead. Acting quickly, they set up on the fly and had all five hunters ready to shoot. The Swine dropped after a few shots. Later on, in another field, they spotted 2 Coyotes with nothing else in sight, so they decided to take a shot at one of them as well. It was a fun night for everyone involved, with great success once again.

Guide Capt Ben led the Hunters on a Hunt for Hog SWAT. The first field was being ravaged by a Group of Pigs, so they set out to try and put an end to their reign of destruction. The culprits were found rooting a large area of the field, initially appearing huge. However, they turned out to be Piglets with an appetite for winter wheat. The first shots were taken from about 45 yards away, with the last volley on running Hogs about 225 yards away resulting in a perfect 5 for 5. The marksmanship of the group was truly amazing.

After scanning nearby fields without much luck, they made their way back towards Americus and spotted a Lone Pig in a large, freshly tilled and fertilized field. Upon closer observation, it was discovered that there were actually about 25 Wild Hogs. The group took their time Stalking up as close as possible before the guide gave the signal to set up. As the Wild Hogs began to walk towards them, they let loose at about 35 yards. The Downed Hogs yielded some great meat and they are looking forward to their return Hunt. Overall, it was a Great Hunting Experience.

During a Hog Hunt led by Guide Capt Ben, a group of Hunters embarked on a new adventure of Thermal Hunting in South Georgia with Hog SWAT. Reflecting on the Hunt, Guide Capt Ben shared, "We had to grind for these Pigs."

Their first Stalk was interrupted by some Deer, startling the Hogs. The second Pig they encountered dashed across the field, proving to be a challenge. However, at 4:50, the group finally had a successful run. They embarked on a 1200-yard Stalk through waist-high Winter Wheat, ultimately taking a shot on four and dropping two Wild Hogs.

It was a night of perseverance and determination for Guide Capt Ben and his team, showcasing their skills in navigating the challenges of Hunting in South Georgia. The memorable experience will surely be cherished by the Hunters, who embraced the Thrill of the Hunt under Guide Capt Ben's guidance.

Hunting In The Dark

On the first night of Hog Hunting in March for Hog SWAT led by Guide Capt Ben, a group of guys embarked on a Wild Hog Hunt in South Georgia. Despite a slow start to the evening, the team remained optimistic throughout the Hunt.

Setting up on six Hogs, they were only able to hit two Wild Hogs. However, Guide Capt Ben and the group persevered, checking various fields until they were exhausted. What started as a dull evening turned out to be a memorable experience for the Hunters, who demonstrated determination and teamwork in the face of unexpected challenges. Here's to more exciting and Successful Hunts with Guide Capt Ben at the helm of Hog SWAT.

On the first night of Hog Hunting in March for Hog SWAT, Guide Hank led a group of four Hunters on a Successful Hunt. They had a good time and were able to head home early.

Early in the night, they were able to bring down a nice Boar, the only one they encountered. As the night progressed, the Hunters decided to call it quits early as they needed to leave early in the morning. Despite only spotting one Hog, it was a night of great success for the group. Here's to many more successful Hunts with Guide Hank leading the way for the Hog SWAT Team.

Wild Boar Tusks

Guide Hank didn't see a single Pig until 4am. Due to the full moon, when he spotted a Lone Boar sitting in a field, he didn't want to chance it running away upon noticing them. Crouching down and Army Crawling within 60 yards of the Hog, the Hunters were able to drop it with 2 bullets. The Boar had some very nice Boar Tusks, making it another Successful Hunt for Guide Hank.

Wild Hog Hunting

Guide Capt Ben's night began at their first pick field with a small group of Pigs munching on some winter wheat. A nice Gilt was downed, yielding some sweet Wild Hog Meats after being butchered. They then headed to several more fields with no success. After cruising around, they found a group of Hogs who spotted them in the moonlight and ran for the hills. Unfortunately, they had no luck in another field and called off the Hunt. Despite the setbacks, Guide Capt Ben and the group had a good time and enjoyed each other's company.

Guide Hank led a 2 Night Hog Hunt, with the first night proving to be a bit challenging. Despite walking all over the field, only one Pig was spotted for the majority of the night. Unfortunately, the Wild Pig managed to evade capture by moving into the trees twice. However, as they were leaving the field, another Hog appeared on Thermal Imaging. Guide Hank led the group along a ditch to avoid detection in the moonlight, but the Wild Hog disappeared when they reached the corner. Undeterred, they followed the Hog through a dense area and managed to get within 100 yards of it before taking the shot. The Pig performed a little dance before succumbing, marking the successful takedown of one Pig for the night.

The second night presented its own challenges as the group had to contend with the brightness of the moon. On the first field they Stalked, a Pig spotted them and ran to a neighboring field. Another Wild Pig was observed walking onto a field and then retreating back into the trees after a few minutes. Returning to the first field, the group spotted a Sounder at the back of the field. They quietly approached along the trees and managed to get within 30 to 40 yards of the pigs as they emerged from the trees. A shot was taken, resulting in the successful harvest of a Big Pregnant Sow.

Despite only getting one pig on the second night, the group had a fun and challenging experience over the past two nights. Hunting Wild Hogs is never easy. Thankfully we have Guide Hank to find them no matter the cost.

Words From Guide Capt Ben:

New Jersey’s finest. These fellas dropped the hammer on the Hogs tonight. Our first field appeared desolate at first. As we made our way out of the field however, 9 Pigs charged out of the woods and almost directly at the Hog Hunting Van. With the full moon, they easily saw the van. We kept a cool head and didn’t move a muscle, didn’t utter but a few whispers. Two of the Wild Hogs were very curious about this 12’ tall jet black van that was sitting in their cornucopia walking up to about 60 feet from the van. They darted away but calmed back down. After about 15 minutes of silently watching the Hogs we deemed them calm and with the utmost sound discipline, moving slowly, we set up our gear on the opposite side of the van. The hunters set up nearly shoulder to shoulder. We could see the hogs with our naked eye, meaning they could see us in turn. 3, 2, bang! 4 Hogs dropped immediately and several others were hit. In the fray one Hog got back up and started running for it’s life. We took shots on it, but the Swine had a strong will to live. We ended up with a Sow, Boar and Gilt yielding some excellent Wild Hog Meat and a nice Trophy Hog Head.

Our next go round took place on our third choice field. We spotted what almost looked like a Raccoon with its hind quarters high in the air. The guide disembarked from the van to get a closer look. The raccoon quickly turned into a Big Boar that was deep in the wallows it had been rooting all night. We set out on a 700 Yard Stalk and due to the intensity of the moonlight, took our shots from about 175 yards. The hog didn’t stand a chance, and after losing one that played opossum on our last go round, we gave this boar no quarter. A nice 250lb Boar, another Trophy Boar Head. Good shooting with these SWAT Boys. New Jersey is in good hands!

Wild Boar Hunting

Last night, a group of Hunters embarked on a Wild Hog Hunt led by their Guide Capt Ben. It was a tough night filled with wind issues, but they pushed through in the hopes of Bagging Some Boars. Despite the challenges, they managed to drop a Wild Boar but unfortunately spooked two Sounders within the night. The adrenaline was high as they navigated the dark fields of South Ga, focused on their target and determined to come out victorious. Even though not every Hunt may go as planned, the thrill of the chase and the camaraderie shared among Hunters made it a night to remember. Here's to more Successful Hunts in the future.

Harvesting Wild Hogs

Photo: Boar Hunting @PigProblem

Guide Capt Ben led the Hunt with varying levels of success, initially encountering Hogs darting across the fields. In the third field, a Lone Hog cautiously peeked out of the trees, catching their attention. After observing the Pig for approximately 10 minutes, the decision was made to move on to a more promising location.

As they departed, they were surprised to find that the initial Wild Hog had brought a companion along for the journey. With their gear at the ready and navigating unpredictable winds, they positioned themselves strategically behind the cover of tall winter wheat, utilizing the partial moonlight to their advantage. Taking careful aim from approximately 100 yards away, they managed to swiftly take down both Boars with precision shots, resulting in a successful and exciting conclusion to the Hunt. It was a memorable moment as both Hogs were harvested and the team celebrated their accomplishment in the field.

2 Night Hog Hunt

Photo Night 2: Big Girl Is Down @HogSWAT

Night 1:

Guide Hank of Hog SWAT had an eventful night with the Hunting Party. In the first field, they successfully Stalked a Pig positioned in a high spot. After the shot was fired, the Pig managed to just make it past a hill, disappearing from view. Uncertain of the outcome, the group ventured over the hill to discover the Dead Hog lying in the field. Impressed by its nice tusks, the Hunters decided to claim it as a trophy.

Moving on to a different field, Guide Hank and the group Tracked Two Wild Hogs. Despite their efforts, the Wild Pigs proved to be restless and elusive, never presenting a clear shot opportunity. The Elusive Pigs managed to evade capture that time, merely postponing their inevitable fate.

Overall, it was a fun night of Hunting for Guide Hank and the party. Looking ahead, they anticipated that the following night would be just as exciting and fruitful.

Night 2:

On the second night of the Hunting excursion with Guide Hank and the Hunting Group, they encountered the challenges and excitement of Hunting on a vast property. With its sheer size, the property offered a multitude of hiding spots for the Elusive Hogs, making the Hunt a Thrilling Adventure in itself.

Around midnight, the group spotted a Pig and swiftly took action, firing off shots as they initiated the countdown. Despite their efforts, the Hog managed to elude them, slipping away into the darkness. Nonetheless, their spirits remained high as they continued their Hunt.

Later in the night, the team stumbled upon a staggering scene of nearly 30 Pigs congregating together. As they cautiously approached, the moonlight revealed their presence, causing the Wild Pigs to scatter from the field one by one. Only 4 Pigs Remained, undisturbed by their approach.

In a strategic move, the Hunters positioned themselves for a successful takedown as one of the Pigs began to advance towards them. With precision and skill, each Hunter took a shot, resulting in the immediate drop of the targeted pig. The night culminated in this victorious moment, marking a successful conclusion to the Hunting Expedition for Guide Hank and the group.

Fun Hog Hunts

The Hunting Guide, known as Guide Hank, had a fantastic time with this Hunting Party. Throughout the night, the group was engaged in playful banter and joking around, creating a lively atmosphere. Despite initially not spotting any Hogs, the group eventually located some Pigs and executed a flawless Stalk, getting within about 70 yards under the illuminated night sky.

The Hunters skillfully took down their targets, with the Wild Pigs displaying a unique dance before succumbing to the shots. By the end of the night, two pigs had been successfully harvested. While waiting for another pig to emerge on a different property, unexpected gunshots startled the group, causing the remaining pig to retreat quickly into the cover of the woods.

Although they didn't encounter any more Wild Hogs that night, the overall outcome was deemed a great success. A word of caution was shared by Guide Hank, mentioning that falling asleep in the Hunting Van could result in getting a surprise sharpie doodle on one's face, a lighthearted reminder of the camaraderie and fun shared during the Hog Hunt.

Guide Capt. Ben, who guided these Hunters Erick, Will & Fuzzy on a 2 Night Hog Hunt.

Night 1 of the Hunt:

The Hunt started with excitement, as they spotted two Wild Hogs in a large Winter Wheat Field. Despite an attempt at a Stalk, erratic winds gave away their position, causing the Hogs to flee. The subsequent fields were quiet until a Lone Hog was sighted on the tree line. The group closed in for a stalk, only to discover a group of six Pigs, including Piglets, in the tall grass. They successfully took down the Largest Boar in the group. After exploring other fields with limited wildlife, they returned to find the same two Wild Pigs from earlier. Both were shot and tagged, securing a meat Sow.

Night 2 of the Hunt:

The second night took them out west to Preston, Ga, where no Hogs were found. After regrouping, they headed back to Plains, Ga and encountered a sizable Sounder of 15-20 Hogs. A shot was taken, and although one Pig almost made it to the trees, it was successfully taken down at the woodline. They continued to check several more fields and found another Sounder, but their Stalking attempt was unsuccessful as the Hogs detected their scent. Despite the challenges, the group had a memorable experience with the Hunters from Alabama. Great times were had on this successful Hog Hunting Adventure with Guide Capt. Ben.

The Jersey Devil's Take On Wild Hogs

Photo Night 1: Solo Wild Hog @HogSWAT

Photo Night 1: It’s Play Time Kids @HogSWAT

Photo Night 2: Don’t Make A Deal With The Jersey Devils @HogSWAT

Guide Hank said these Jersey devils were hungry for Hog Meat so they took a Hunting Trip to Georgia where they could slay some Hogs with us. The first field they pulled into was empty, so they moved on to the next field where they found a Solo Hog and were able to take it down. The next few fields they checked were also empty, but on their last stop of the night they circled back to the first field they had looked at and found a Sounder of 20+ Pigs.

It wasn't a question of whether there were Pigs in a field, but rather when they would show up. The group Stalked the Pigs as they moved through the field, getting closer as they grew more comfortable. However, one of the Wild Pigs started approaching them, causing the rest of the Sounder to follow. The Jersey devils quickly set up their gear and were able to take down 3 Pigs before the others ran off the field.

Jersey Devils seem to have gotten their fill on Bacon because they only got one Piggy on night 2. Running around all night looking for the Wild Pigs with one briefly spotted before it disappeared. Word must’ve got out that the devils were in town because they were all hiding. At 3am a sharp Hog was spotted so we pulled out a death warrant and had the Wild Hog sign it in exchange for some peanuts. Naturally the hog got shot and died. Didn’t anyone teach that pig you don’t make deals with the devil?

On night 1 of thier 2 Night Hog Hunt, in the first few fields, they didn't have much luck. In their third choice, they came across a Boar being Stalked by 2 Coyotes. They took a shot at all three, managing to drop a Large Coyote and the Wild Boar. Continuing on, they found a Sounder that was playing with property lines and attempted to wait for them to return to their field. Unfortunately, the Sounder did not come back. They returned later, only to see the Pigs in the field but they walked back to the neighbors as they approached, which was quite frustrating for them.

Guide Ben was excited about this Thrilling Night they had Hunting Pigs on night 2. They watched a pair of Boars Charging across the field, but decided not to Stalk them. Instead, they found another Group of Hogs. The next group was a Sounder spotted several hundred yards away. These Hogs led them to more amiable ones, which they decided to take down. Due to the wind, they shot at them from 225 yards away. Young Noah dropped his Wild Boar with the first shot, and his father ensured it didn’t get up. Moving on to seeking revenge, they targeted a Large Sounder they had seen the night before. Sitting at the edge of the wood line, they waited until the lead Sow made a move. After shooting at her, the whole Sounder Charged at them. Not satisfied yet, they went to a nearby field and found a boar about 750 yards away. Well, another Boar came out and tried to fight him over the peanuts so they watched and waited to see what would happen. They squared off, and the smaller newcomer tucked his tail and cleared the field. Sometimes losing is a good thing. They stalked the Victor Boar and dropped the 350lb Boar! Overall, it was a night filled with excitement and successful Hog Hunting. We hope they come back for more Boar Hunting!

2 PIG PILES 1 NIGHT

Photo: Hog Galore @HogSWAT

Photo: 2nd Pig Pile!! @HogSWAT

Guide Hank had some lethal company tonight. The first field they pulled into had Pigs and heavy rain. They shot and killed 6 Wild Pigs, with some on the run. Hank thought what they did was pretty awesome, so they decided to do it again. The second field they entered had a Sounder at the tree line. Approaching the Hogs with perfect wind, the group showed Hank that 6 wasn't just a fluke because they did it again, killing 6 more for a total of 12 Wild Hogs! These guys know how to have a good time and shoot with accuracy.

They checked several more fields to try and add to the number, but Guide Hank thinks the Hogs could sense these guys were nearby and made sure to stay clear of the Lethal Shooters. It was a great night of Hunting with these guys.
