Thermal hog hunting takes place during the nighttime when Hogs are more active and visibility is limited. This adds an element of adventure and mystery to the Hunting Experience, as Hunters navigate through darkness using Advanced Hunting Technology to locate our targets. This was Guide Kevin’s first time guiding a group by himself! We are excited to have him apart of the Hog SWAT Team! We hope this couple comes back for another Hog Hunting Adventure!
Georgia Hog Hunting
Guide Capt Ben and these guys found themselves in their first Farmers Field, where two Enormous Sows were leisurely meandering through the Winter Wheat. With caution and precision, they stealthily approached, nearly unsettling the Pigs. Upon positioning themselves, they seized the moment and fired their shots. Startled, the Sows sprinted downhill, but upon reaching the crest, to their astonishment, the Hogs remained, merely a hundred feet distant from the tree line.
Their next field presented a sight to behold—a formidable Sounder sprawling across great distances. Determined, they embarked on a stalk that spanned an impressive nine hundred yards, their sights set on the larger of the Wild Hogs. Their aimed true, and three Massive Boars fell under their well-placed shots. However, two sly Boars managed to evade their grasp, disappearing into a vast trench. Capt Ben reminisced, reflecting on the adventure with a smile. Truly, it had been a time of delight and excitement.
Hog Slayers
Wow, these guys are truly Skilled Hog Hunters! Despite a long drive past Albany, their second night of Hunting was just as successful as the first. The first field they arrived at had approximately a dozen Pigs, and they were able to take down 2 Large Boars. Moving on to a nearby field, they encountered around 20 Wild Hogs and successfully took down 3 Piglets. It was a thrilling experience for everyone involved, and the group managed to bag a total of 15 Wild Hogs in just 2 nights. These Hunters clearly know what they're doing, and it sounds like a fantastic time was had by all!
Best Hog Hunting In Georgia
These individuals had a stroke of luck! In their first field, they encountered a group of around 10 Young Pigs. With careful Stalking, they managed to take a shot and successfully dropped one Hog. Determined not to repeat their previous experience, they moved on. In the next field, they stumbled upon a Massive Sounder of over 40 Hogs of various sizes. Despite challenging conditions with tricky winds and bright moonlight, they skillfully approached within 70 yards before opening fire. The Pigs took an unexpected path through the field, giving them ample time to shoot, resulting in them bringing down an additional 9 Wild Pigs. It was an Exhilarating Hunting Experience! They ended up with an impressive yield of 2.5 gallons of Back Straps, along with several bags filled with choice hams and shoulders. It was truly a Memorable Hunting Adventure!
Rare Black Coyote!!
Guide Ben took this group to patroll some fields in Plains Ga, covering a total of 7 different fields before stumbling upon their first sighting - a Sounder consisting of approximately 11 Pigs. Eagerly, they unleashed a series of volleys, only to find that none of the shots seemed to have made an impact. However, upon scouring the low-lying areas, they made a surprising discovery - 4 Wild Hogs had indeed been successfully taken down. Moving on to the next field, the Hunters were disappointed not to find any Pigs, but the presence of Several Coyotestes caught their attention. Swiftly, they set up their position and skillfully lured the Coyotes closer using Guide Capt Ben expertly executed squeaks. The crack of a single shot echoed, successfully eliminating one of the Black Song Dogs. Undeterred by the lack of Hogs in the previous field, they ventured to another field where a separate group had previously taken shots. To their delight, they encountered another 13 Hogs. However, one wise Sow among them seemed to sense that something was amiss, despite favorable wind conditions and a safe distance. Unfazed, the sow began to approach, prompting the hunters to take shots at the Moving Targets. Unfortunately, due to a combination of adrenaline and a malfunctioning weapon, they were unable to bring any of the pigs down. Nonetheless, the thrill of shooting at the moving targets provided them with an exhilarating experience and an enjoyable time. Taking down a Rare Black Coyote is a Once In A Life Time Hunting Expiernce. Congrats to these guys on a Trophy Coyote!

She Never Sow That Coming...
After checking several fields, they came across a Sounder of 13 Wild Hogsgs. With the wind swirling and highly unpredictable, they rolled the dice and began their Stalk. The Pigs were a little preoccupied with rooting peanuts to notice them Stalking to about 80 yards. They dropped a nice 100lb Hog and a 40lb piglet, which yielded them a nice pile of Wild Hog Meat. They then went out to several more fields before finding 4 Juvenile Pigs. The Hogs were in a low brush, which made the shooting difficult, but they let them have it. After the dust settled, they scored an 80lb Sow. They kept looking for Wild Pigs but ran out of time. Let’s see what tomorrow bears for these Hunters and their Hunt For Hogs. Maybe they will have better luck and find a bigger Group of Pigs or a Trophy-Sized Boar. We will have to wait and see what fate has in store for them on the next Hunting Excursion.
The Real Pro Hog Hunters
Mark and Dwayne were 2 for 2 tonight, successfully Hunting 2 Pigs. They exhibited resourcefulness by using minimal resources while achieving maximum lethality. The first Pig required a single bullet from each Hunter, despite being located far away across a field making for a HogHog StalkStalk. As for the second Hog, it proved to be a challenge as it continuously moved, making it difficult to set up for a shot. However, Mark and Dwayne finally were able to set up and managed to take a shot within a few seconds of opportunity. Once again, only one shot from each hunter was needed to take down the Wild Hog. In total, they used four bullets to Hunt two Hogs. Clearly, these Hunters have Exceptional Marksmanship Skills. Guide Hank would be thrilled to have the opportunity to Hunt with them again someday. We hope they come back to Hog SWAT because we want to see them shoot at a Sounder of Wild Hogs! That would be something to see with these guys!!!
Hog Slayer
Chad the Lone Shooter tonight had a plan for 2 people but the other guy couldn’t make it. That doesn't matter because Chad is a Hog Slayer, they got on Pigs the first field we went to a Chad dropped a nice Sow and got the meat off it. They didn’t have too much luck the rest of the night but I know if Chad had another chance to shoot he wouldn’t have let a single Hog escape his sights. We hope Chad comes back to Hog SWAT for round two. We all wanna see his skills put to the test of a Sounder Of Hogs.
Hog Hunting
Guide Hank had an exceptional night with Terry and Ken during their Wild Hog Hunting expedition. They managed to take down 3 Pigs, although one managed to slip away during their first attempt. The first Pig they successfully Hunted was a Massive Boar, weighing an estimated 200+ pounds. It was an impressive feat! Following that, they encountered a small group of seven Wild Hogs, and both Terry and Ken displayed their shooting skills by taking down two more Wild Pigs with accurate shots. Not only were they great shooters, but Terry and Ken were also fantastic individuals to Hunt alongside. Guide Hank and the Hog SWAT team were happy to have Terry and Ken on the Hunt and we hope that they will return for another Thrilling Wild Hog Hunting Experience in the future.
Too Much Fun Was Had Last Night
Embarking on an Hunting Expedition guided by the seasoned Captain Ben, this group embarked on a short drive to the first field. With great precision, they located a Sounder of 11 Majestic Pigs, standing proudly before them. Exhibiting their skills, they quietly closed in on the Wild Hogs, ensuring their position for the perfect shot. The first Boar, belonging to Dylan, fell instantly, its comrades soon joining the fallen by Bill. The stunning array of sizes, from bite-sized to the grandest of Swine, filled us with a sense of accomplishment as we prepared to embark on the Butchering process, savoring the prospect of indulging in Fine-Quality Meat.
Eager to continue their Hunting odyssey, they ventured towards the next field, unaware of the challenges that awaited them. The Stalking proved rigorous, spanning a remarkable distance of approximately 800 yards, as the Wild Pig sought refuge within a concealed trench. Determined, we persevered, maintaining our pursuit until we could discern the silhouette of the elusive creature's back, mere fifty yards away. With bated breath, our anticipation peaked upon discovering the vulnerable vital region just ten yards further. And then, with a resounding bang, yet another Hog succumbed to our Skilled Marksmanship. The thrill and joy coursing through their veins were undeniable, a testament to the immeasurable satisfaction derived from such an adventure.

The Muddy Hogs
After overcoming a few slight delays, we ventured towards our swampy fields in eager anticipation of the Hunt. With utmost caution, we cautiously traversed the field and were thrilled to spot numerous Deer on our Thermals. However, our persistence paid off when we discovered a small Sounder nestled deep within the sorghum, hidden in a low spot.
Undeterred by the challenging conditions, which included traversing 750 yards of muddy terrain and navigating through noisy cut sorghum, we valiantly pursued our quarry. Skillfully setting up our Hunting Tripods in complete silence, we took aim at a magnificent Sow and her brood. The tension mounted as we counted down, "3, 2, BANG!" Suddenly, the Pigs darted away in a bewildering display of erratic movement, seemingly unsure of their destination.
With our prized catches secured, we remained alert and vigilant throughout our journey. Just as we were about to depart, fate smiled upon us, revealing a magnificent 200 lb Boar boasting menacing 2-inch Tusks. Torn between charging us or making a mad dash towards the tree line, the Boar hesitated, spinning in circles as we took aim. It was a decisive moment, and we made the daunting choice for him, swiftly ending his existence in the muddy ground.
In the end, our expedition proved to be an Unforgettable Boar Encounter filled with exhilarating moments. The thrill of the hunt was complemented by the delectable meats harvested, providing a truly Unique Hunting Adventure that will forever be etched in our memories. The night started with the sighting of a solo Boar. They managed to kill it about 50 yards away. While taking pictures, they heard more Pig noises and decided to investigate. They moved up the hill and discovered a Sounder of over 25+ Hogs wandering around.
Excited by the opportunity, they shot and killed 5 more Wild Pigs from the sounder. Altogether, this resulted in a thrilling and Successful Hunting night with a total of 11 Hogs taken down (I count the one that passed in the woods). Book a Wild HogHunt today! The Hog With No Hoof
Experience the thrill of a Thermal Hog Hunt at Hog SWAT with Guide Luke (Hank). On his recent expedition, he took these guys out on thier second Night of Hunting and they encountered a Handicapped Pig that they named peg leg, with a missing Hoof. Determined to turn his tripod stance into a bipod, they successfully took down peg leg.
But the excitement didn't end there. They spotted a Sounder of Pigs in a challenging location, just in front of a valuable pivot. With the risk of a costly mistake, they managed to fire some shots, hitting the Wild Hogs before they crossed over to the pivots, yet unfortunately, they managed to escape the field.
Nevertheless, it was a satisfying conclusion to the Second Night of Hunting for these Skilled Hunters. Don't miss out on your chance to join in on the action. Book your Wild Hog Hunt today and experience the Hunting Adrenaline Rush for yourself.

Night 2 of thier 2 Night Hog Hunt with Jim, Mike, Ron and Joe. Rough Hunting but they managed to take down 1 solo Pig that made us walk 1000yds to shoot her. This can happen to any one’s Hog Hunt. We do everything we can to make sure you get a Wild Hog. Some nights can be slow for Hunting Wild Hogs.
These guys were master of illusion. Was the pig massive or under 100 lbs? You decide.
300lb Boar
After the tornado watch and the lack of Wild Pigs they experienced the other night, last night was a much-welcomed success. They found their first Pig at 8:43pm and didn't show any mercy to the Wild Boar. All five guns hit the Hog, and they even fired another round just to be sure. Afterwards, they cruised around Plains, GA until we stumbled upon a Massive Boar, weighing around 250-300lbs. At first, I thought the Huge Boar had caught our scent, but as we walked back to the van, it emerged from the woods and headed straight towards us. I gave the signal, and we unleashed a barrage of shots on it! It was an Incredible Hunt. If you're interested, you can book a Hunt with us at Hog SWAT! Maybe you will get a 300lb Boar!
